Great wood fired pizza, pizzas had a nice crust and stone baked bottom to hold it together. I got the Pepperoni which was nice and wife got Tuna. Enjoyed both, staff were very nice and quick with ordering. Reasonable prices as well, we paid roughly 1500 MUR which is about £17 in GBP. When in Mauritius I will deffo visit again.

It was quite busy, for dine in and take-out. But it was worth the wait! I had a burrata pizza with fresh tomato, and it was the best pizza I have had in a long time! Good bottom, great fresh ingredients

First Timer. Finally went there after passing by for years.. Called for reservation and everything went ok, they had the table ready upon arrival. - The staffs were friendly and welcoming, but a bit unattentive, totally understandable as it was peak hour. - Atmosphere very cosy and chill, - Food was awesome and very good, authentic tastes. and they use a wood oven 💯 Would surely visit again 👌 #recommended

If you want to eat a perfect Italian Pizza 🍕 the La Margherita is THE place to go. From a very warm welcome and lovely atmosphere to the perfect pizza (amazing ingredients and the dough is just perfectly made) and service - it was definitely worth it. You can easily decide if you want to sit inside or outside. At weekends it would be good to quickly call them and reserve a table. Overall: we had the best pizza since ages at the La Margherita. So all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ more than well deserved. Keep on rocking!

Excellent pizza, the dough is really good. We also took on TA and it was great even a day after. Wanted burrata on the pizza, but they were out of burrata 😭 Service not very good though, but that’s “normal” unfortunately in Mauritius and you have to work with what you have. Can’t really blame the owner for that. Almost all restaurants are suffering from this problem. Overall, we will definitely come back. The pizzas are worth it BIG TIME!

We tried to visit this restaurant a total of 4 times during our stay in Grand Gaube and only managed to get pizza ONCE! The first time we went at 2pm for a takeaway and were told we could only get a pizza if we had cash. The next time we went at 12.30pm for lunch and were told they weren’t opening until 6, despite saying they were open on Google (and the owner told us they were open for lunch every day..?). The third time we did actually get a pizza and it was nice, and well priced. The fourth time we arrived and they told us they had no more pizza dough. It’s a restaurant only serving pizza, how can you run out of dough? I cannot therefore recommend this place as there’s no guarantee you’ll get served or that it will be open! Such a shame.

Could be better and was better previously. Poor service and atmosphere, pizza tomato sauce wasn't great which is a shame because the toppings and base were great but overall became mediocre. Would recommend reviewing organisation to improve.

One big joke. Avoid this place. It is time waster. We came at 6pm to order pizza take away. Stuff asked if we can come back at 7pm which we did, 5 minutes later once we were ready to order we were advised we need to wait another 1 hr and 45 minutes. That was big supprise especialy pizzeria was not busy at all. There must be sirious issue with this business if they cannot make pizza in 20 minutes. We do not recommend this place instead go to Italian Pizza da Mario where you will find superb service with very tasty pizza.

An amazing local pizza and Italian restaurant, with take out and a small dine in area with outside and indoor seating. The staff were lovely and the food amazing. We had a pizza that was done to perfection with a lovely crispy crust and a gnocchi dish with fish that was unbelievably tasty.

Authentic Italian pizza in Mauritius made in a wood fire oven and with quality ingredients. I had pizza with burrata and it was great, nice crust with a tasty and light dough. The place is brand new and nicely decorated which makes a really pleasant experience. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the north part of the island.

Awsome place perfect for vegetarian too

Absolutely pathetic service! The woman taking the orders knows NOTHING! Once you EVENTUALLY get your order placed and pay, she then comes and tells you she hasn't put everything on the bill. 28 minutes after paying, she comes and tell you they can't take your order because they don't have the ingredients. The other waiter takes another customer Tonic Water instead of sparkling water. I problem lies with NO training from management. La Margherita will NEVER see me again. I'm sitting in anticipation as to what I'm finally going to get for supper......

This place is amazing. The pizza there is outstanding and authentic!!! Also the homemade pasta is very tasty. Very friendly owners and the food is simply delicious! Thank you for this food experience.

Far away from home, we could not fail to attend our Sunday pizza tradition. We did so at Margherita. True pizza as we only had it in Italy. We were nicely hosted by the owner Pepe and his father Federico, visiting from Venice.
