We’ve
just
returned
from
two
weeks
at
the
Sunrise
Attitude
Hotel
and
found
it
to
be
a
three
star
hotel
experience
and
not
worthy
of
its
four
star
rating.
Having
stayed
at
the
fabulous
Lagoon
Attitude
Hotel
earlier
this
year
we
thought
we’d
try
another
four
star
Attitude
Hotel
but
the
Sunrise
just
doesn’t
compare
with
its
sister
hotel
and
we
found
it
to
be
basic
and
lacking
any
sort
of
WOW
factor.
The
hotel
is
located
in
a
beautiful
part
of
the
island
with
a
stunning
beach
which
is
good
for
snorkelling
although
the
coral
offshore
is
dead
with
very
few
fish
to
be
found.
There
were
plenty
of
benches
available
on
the
beach
and
the
hotel
maintains
a
security
presence.
Seaweed
is
collected
and
dumped
in
large
rotting
piles
and
not
cleared
something
we
couldn’t
understand
as
it
slightly
spoilt
this
beautiful
beach.
Dining
was
initially
difficult
because
my
husband
is
dairy
free
so
we
were
struggling
to
find
any
variety
in
what
he
could
eat
until
we
were
introduced
to
Ravi
the
Social
House
chef
who
created
some
safe
meals
for
my
husband.
We
found
all
the
Staff
in
the
Social
House
to
be
fantastic
but
special
mention
to
Vicky
and
all
the
bar
staff
who
kept
our
drinks
flowing
and
made
us
laugh
constantly
with
their
banter.
We
found
nearly
all
staff
to
be
nice
helpful
and
friendly
apart
from
a
couple
in
the
main
Market
restaurant.
Sarita
however
was
lovely
and
provided
great
friendly
service.
Taba
J
is
definitely
worth
a
visit
at
lunchtime
for
a
taste
of
Mauritian
street
food
and
the
staff
there
are
lovely,
helpful
and
friendly.
The
staff
in
the
shop
were
also
fantastic
especially
Nistah
and
we
visited
daily
to
pick
up
our
quota
drinks
for
the
room.
Our
room
was
clean
and
functional
but
again
lacking
the
five
star
room
service
we’ve
experienced
in
all
other
5
hotels
we’ve
stayed
in
on
the
island.
None
of
the
fabulous
towel
creations
we’d
come
to
expect
here,
just
the
basics
and
again
lacking
attention
to
detail
as
on
several
occasions
we
weren’t
even
provided
with
hand
towels.
In
addition,
on
two
occasions
we
had
to
request
our
room
be
made
up
although
it
was
after
3pm
which
then
required
an
additional
30
minute
wait.
The
hotel
is
well
maintained
with
beautiful
gardens.
We
did
however
see
a
couple
of
rats
and
a
mouse
in
the
dining
room
something
we
reported
at
the
time
but
staff
seemed
unaware
of
the
potential
health
risk
of
rats
and
merely
asked
me
if
I
told
them
because
I
was
scared!
Covid
also
seems
to
be
long
forgotten
with
no
hand
sanitizer
available
in
the
buffet
restaurants
and
many
people
picking
up
the
same
serving
utensils.
Overall
the
hotel
is
average
in
our
opinion
and
no
more
than
a
three
star
particularly
when
compared
to
other
hotels
we
have
stayed
in
on
the
island
which
was
a
surprise
and
disappointing
considering
the
good
reviews
it
receives.
The
sunrise
attitude
just
isn’t
in
the
same
league
as
other
four
star
hotels
on
the
island
and
we
won’t
be
returning.
It’s
LUX
hotels
only
for
us
moving
forward
as
these
really
do
off
the
fabulous
experience
we’ve
come
to
expect
when
holidaying
in
this
wonderful
and
beautiful
country.
