This hotel is great. We stayed in one of the villa rooms which felt like 5 star. Everything was immaculate and modern. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, every single one of them were so nice. The food was really nice and good options available. Woul definitely recommend

Great location at the north end of Belle Mare just across from the beach. There's very little development on the beach, which keeps it natural looking. There's a small town 10 minutes walk down the road through the beach park that has shops for that basics, snacks, etc. The hotel has two pools, one social where the activities take place, and one more for relaxing. Lots of different pool seating lounging options. Two breakfast buffet areas that serve the same food, and a few different restaurant options for dinner. Food was good, not spectacular but still good. The room was simple but nice. The grounds are very pretty. You can borrow a water bottle on arrival to refill with water whenever. There are evening activities that change nightly. My only wish, and I told the hotel this, is that they would currently play music at the social pool in the afternoon and during dinner. We went as a couple for 4 nights and had a great time.

A friendly, cozy and warm environment where we are taken good care and an amazing welcome with all staff really pay attention to us. The eco friendly concept is well encouraged. Much appreciation to Emmanuel, nik and front office staff. You guys really make it to heart for us to come again. Keep up the good work

We took a couple swim up room, and it was very nice ,comfortable and spacious, the scenery of the room terrace embracing the pool was fantastic. Well mannered staffs and friendly environment. But not a great variety of foods, especially for people who do not consume beef and pork.

Wonderful hotel with friendly and detail focused staff. Ground floor rooms with swim up pools are the best choice if you can get them. Just a short walk over the road to a brilliant private beach. Food in all the restaurants are amazing.

Amazing place! The room was clean and the set up was really nice. The place and the views were really pretty. The best part of this hotel was the staff! Super friendly and attentive. Everyone was super welcoming. There was something calming about the way the hotel was set up. Highly recommended!

We’ve just returned from two weeks at the Sunrise Attitude Hotel and found it to be a three star hotel experience and not worthy of its four star rating. Having stayed at the fabulous Lagoon Attitude Hotel earlier this year we thought we’d try another four star Attitude Hotel but the Sunrise just doesn’t compare with its sister hotel and we found it to be basic and lacking any sort of WOW factor. The hotel is located in a beautiful part of the island with a stunning beach which is good for snorkelling although the coral offshore is dead with very few fish to be found. There were plenty of benches available on the beach and the hotel maintains a security presence. Seaweed is collected and dumped in large rotting piles and not cleared something we couldn’t understand as it slightly spoilt this beautiful beach. Dining was initially difficult because my husband is dairy free so we were struggling to find any variety in what he could eat until we were introduced to Ravi the Social House chef who created some safe meals for my husband. We found all the Staff in the Social House to be fantastic but special mention to Vicky and all the bar staff who kept our drinks flowing and made us laugh constantly with their banter. We found nearly all staff to be nice helpful and friendly apart from a couple in the main Market restaurant. Sarita however was lovely and provided great friendly service. Taba J is definitely worth a visit at lunchtime for a taste of Mauritian street food and the staff there are lovely, helpful and friendly. The staff in the shop were also fantastic especially Nistah and we visited daily to pick up our quota drinks for the room. Our room was clean and functional but again lacking the five star room service we’ve experienced in all other 5 hotels we’ve stayed in on the island. None of the fabulous towel creations we’d come to expect here, just the basics and again lacking attention to detail as on several occasions we weren’t even provided with hand towels. In addition, on two occasions we had to request our room be made up although it was after 3pm which then required an additional 30 minute wait. The hotel is well maintained with beautiful gardens. We did however see a couple of rats and a mouse in the dining room something we reported at the time but staff seemed unaware of the potential health risk of rats and merely asked me if I told them because I was scared! Covid also seems to be long forgotten with no hand sanitizer available in the buffet restaurants and many people picking up the same serving utensils. Overall the hotel is average in our opinion and no more than a three star particularly when compared to other hotels we have stayed in on the island which was a surprise and disappointing considering the good reviews it receives. The sunrise attitude just isn’t in the same league as other four star hotels on the island and we won’t be returning. It’s LUX hotels only for us moving forward as these really do off the fabulous experience we’ve come to expect when holidaying in this wonderful and beautiful country.

If you are undecided about visiting this resort, don't hesistate! Its 4 star but the service is 5 star quality. We have been here for 5 days so far and everything is immaculate. The resort itself is newly renovated creating such a nice ambience. The beach is across the road buts it's no issue as it's pristine on a long white sandy stretch perfect for the backdrop of amazing pictures. The food is delicious with a good variety, truly authentic flavors and leaves you wanting more. I personally really like the vegan options. The rooms also have nice finishes as the resort was refurbished. Lastly the most special part of this resort is the staff, they truly go out of their way to make your stay perfect. They really create an unforgettable experience for you. Special shout out to Emmanuel for arranging a cake for my birthday! Well done to the Attitude resort chain on this remarkable hotel.

This is an amazing hotel. The staff are very friendly and polite, and nothing is to much trouble. We are staying in one of the villas, it has a small swimming pool and a garden that are very private. It is worth upgrading to one at the hotel reception, as its a lot cheaper doing it at the hotel, rather than paying a tour company the extortionate prices they are quoting (tui)

Great location on Belle Mar public beach. The staff are all wonderful and attentive, with a good range of activities and evening entertainment on offer. Rooms are nice and tastefully decorated. The food was good with different a la carte and buffet options on site.

We were only daily guests from another Attitude Hotel, but we really loved it here. Makes sense to spend a day from another Attitude Hotel here, just to have another very nice beach and some new impressions. Beach is good for snorkeling too! Perfekt service from all stuff (reception, bar, lunch). Thanks for having us!

We love this hotel, staff can't do enough for you, always so polite and always checking in. Food is lovely at all the restaurants and they made our honeymoon a truly special occasion. There's plenty in the way of entertainment and they don't try to push activities on you if you say no. Perfect for a relaxing break and would recommend it to anyone looking to wind down and chill.

Fantastic adults only hotel that is single use plastic free with the most amazing vegan options available in the restaurant. Definitely check out the crepes, they were fantastic! Very quiet resort, great location and would go back!

We visited sunrise for our honeymoon for two weeks over Christmas and new year. We could not have picked a better hotel. We stayed in a private villa and it was simply beautiful. The staff could not do enough for you, they were always wanting to help and making sure you were having the best time. Nothing was too much to ask. There were lots of things to do at the resort with an ever changing schedule of activities which you can book on to. The beach was stunning as were the two pools. Particularly enjoyed the live music and different entertainment they had on an evening. The hotel also has sunrise taxis which we used a couple of times to do different tours, they were brilliant and the drivers had so much knowledge of the island. The food was amazing, the buffet changes every day and the two other restaurants were also beautiful. The buffet on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve was particularly brilliant and they made such a big deal for the celebrations. Big thank you to Maya who looked after our villa, what an absolutely lovely person and she always made sure our room was beautiful and clean and always asked if we wanted anything else and if everything was ok. Also the young man behind the bar at Papaya who was there most nights, what a friendly person and he makes the best cocktails! Couldn’t recommend it enough and we will definitely be back!

Loved it. Super friendly staff. The food is very nice, and the swim up pool is an amazing concept that was a great experience. The all inclusive package is worth it even if you dont drink alcohol! There are also lots of activities, you wont get bored there!

Beautiful hotel. Staff are all very helpful and lovely. Rooms are stunning and comfortable. Everything is super clean. Located in a beautiful area of the country, 30 feet from the beach. The view from our room was just gorgeous. The one thing that lets it down is the constant sound of motorcycles buzzing past our room by the coastal road. Either that or cars playing very loud music. Would be nice if local authorities could install a speed bump on the road but I honestly don’t know how the hotel would tackle the cars playing loud music. Too bad. Still one of my favorite hotels in Mauritius. Will likely come again. High five to the staff here. You guys are amazing.

Loved this. Only downside was we were broken into whilst we slept at 2am.massive fright. However hotel staff couldnt do enough for us. Very shaken up. The people we met on holiday helped us through it. The hotel is lovely. All staff amazing. Perfect but just lock your phones and everything in safe!

My wife and I arrived at Sunrise Attitude on 7th April late on and were shown to 2020, our room for the week and we immediately fell in love! We went for the swim up room, which we would recommend as the sun shines on the rooms in the morning and it's great for a dip. The rooms are clean, well equipped and very well thought out. Ours was cleaned by the lovely Ria, who was just absolutely lovely and nothing was a problem for. She was a delight. Food options are really, really good. The main option 'The Market' is a bit more of a traditional all inclusive option, but the food is incredible! Chef Ram runs a very good kitchen! A very special shout to Sarita, one of the waitresses here who is one of the most incredible people we have ever met. She is absolutely lovely and we have made a friend for life. The other two restaurant options are more bespoke and are just incredible, you can book in at any time. There are lots of free options to book, just keep a look out for the board. Honestly, we had the best ever time here and couldn't recommend this place anymore. We can not wait to save up and come back. It really was a honeymoon of dreams.

Great hotel for people wanting to relax and eat loads of good food. The hotel is located in the east of Mauritius. Note the beach is on the other side of the road but that shouldn’t be an issue. Hotel has its own parasols and beach beds and staff is always on hand to cater for your needs. There are two areas to the hotel. One I would describe is for more active folks as it has a bar with pool and activities feel especially in the evening when DJ plays. The other pool is for relaxing with pool bar loads of places to lounge and sunbathe. The room we were in was awesome. It doesn’t have tv but that was a plus. We never spent time there anyway and allowed us to chill having a coffee or just watch the world go by. You can opt for a room with access to a pool. This is a private pool reserved only for few rooms and it looks great. I would consider booking it next time. Food is awesome. Whether a La cart or buffet. The hotel chain has a fantastic attitude towards being eco friendly so you will see that food is not wasted but always deliciously prepared. For those to whom this appeal the attitude chain is the way to go. You can also opt to try lunch or dinner at another hotel as part of the experience. We never tried as we found out too late but that is a great option to have to experience another part of the island. Speaking of experiences. The hotel is in a white location with gray sunrise. If you are after sunset you may need to go west but for early birds this is the place to be. It can get windy in the winter but summers are hot and ocean is calm and not to deep due to reef being so far out. There isn’t a good public transport so you will need to budget for either a rental car or take advantage of local guides. These are usually taxi drivers who have set cost for various day trips. You can enquire with them or at the reception. I suggest to ask for prices for day trips before you book. Mauritius is not cheap when it comes to car rental or petrol or day trips so bear that in mind irrespective of place you stay at. In addition to the cost of guide you will need to budget for cost of entries to various attractions should you choose these. Of you like running there is a nice long dirt track just outside the hotel before the beach that is around 2.7 km long. So you can do a sunrise run. Hotel also offers other activities. All in all greet place to go and relax for a great price.

2nd time in Mauritius but first time to Sunrise 🌅 What a amazing place, friendliest people you will ever meet and will do anything for you. Food is absolute top notch with some amazing Mauritian currys to have. Rooms are so clean and spacious, beach is a little windy a times due to the hotel being located on the east of the island but this was only a couple of days, beach Is so beautiful and there is a drinks cart on the beach if you require refreshments. Sunrise is one of the smallest hotels we have stayed at but think this works to the hotels advantage to keep everything personal to their guests. If you like cocktails - try the planters punch. Would 100% come back for another 2 weeks of ultimate chill out time. Thank you Sunrise attitude for an amazing 2 weeks stay.

Excellent hotel with great bars and restaurants. The rooms were laid out well and amenities were good. Some things need to be stocked manually like water and coffee, but this is due to the hotel's initiative to be more green which is understandable. The pools are fantastic with enough loungers and little compartments to sit and suntan in. The beach is across the road but this ended up not being a problem at all. Awesome stay and highly recommended, despite the resort itself not being directly on the beach.

We have just returned from a 10 day stay at this wonderful hotel and missing it so much already. From the moment we arrived to when we left, everything is done to make your holiday special nothing is too much trouble. Our room was lovely, the food was great and the cleanliness of everything was exceptional. All the staff are amazing and are a real credit to you but we would like to give a special shout out to Mimi and Reza who go to so much trouble to make you feel special. We cannot wait to come back and see you all again, Dave and Judi xxxx

Simply delighted with everything and everyone. From welcome to departure, every staff member is here for your enjoyment of your holiday. We certainly had a memorable and happy experience. 4+ stars is well deserved and beats the service and attention to the customers of other 5 stars we stayed Completely and confidently can recommend this hotel. Thank you to the whole team and the manager. Lots of people I would like to specifically thank. Mr Sunny, Reena, Samanta, Kim, Sheeska, and all of you. Sorry if I haven’t got your names but all of you make the hotel a 5* Thank you

We had a wonderful honeymoon at the Sunrise Attitude Hotel. The hotel complex is a dream. Beautifully maintained with great attention to detail. We liked the food. There is a lot of local food. Rice, curries and stews. There is always something fresh from the wok and plenty of meat and side dishes. Salads are also available and there is always something for dessert. There are two pools, which are often busy and you have to hurry to get a sun lounger, as guests unfortunately reserve them for themselves. You cross a road that is guarded by security and then you are already on the beach. Stunning view! There are sun loungers and parasols here, which you also have to reserve quickly, as guests set the alarm clock to put their towel on the lounger. Don't forget your bathing shoes, as there is a lot of coral (coral fragments) and sea urchins on the beach and in the water. The water is very clear and the beach offers the opportunity to walk for miles. There is also a drinks trolley on the beach from the hotel where you can get free drinks if you have All Inclusive. The Sunrise also takes care of stray dogs on the hotel beach and does not chase them away. It is committed to nature conservation and does not use disposable plastic at the pool. Great! They do not support or offer dolphin tours, which usually end in a chase after the dolphins. The staff put the world at our feet. The entertainers are world class. Never had this somewhere else. Taryll with his good humor and infectious laughter, Mitasha (just called Mimmi) with her funny, open and warm manner and Patrice, who can wrap everyone around his finger with his charm. There was always a program for the guests, but no one was forced to take part in any activity. The friendliness of the people is second to none. In the hotel as well as on the whole island. The entire hotel staff is unique. No matter what request you have, you will be helped immediately. The chambermaid Madhuri took great care of our room and lovingly decorated our bed with flowers. Thank you for that! ❤️ We leave the Sunrise Attitude with one laughing and one crying eye. Crying only because we have to fly home 12 hours. It is the first hotel that we would recommend without reservation and would visit again at any time. We made new friends here and had a very good time. We have seen a lot of the island, but not everything, so we will be very happy to come back. Thanks to the Sunrise Attitude! You got 2 more Fans ☀️🇲🇺💦 Sandra & Michael

Very friendly staff, always smiling and greeting you. They always ask if everything is going well and need anything. Very well taken care of where all requests were duly considered. The Couple Swim Up room which have a direct access to a pool from the terrace is very nice and is discreet. It is across the beach. From the hotel, you can see the beach and get an awesome view with the sea breeze swaying across. A good variety of food at the restaurant with special mention to the vegan section. The environment friendly and ecological concept is very well applied and much appreciation to the whole team. I Recommend this hotel

A beautiful hotel in a garden, a few meters from one of the most beautiful beaches in Mauritius. The food was amazing, lots of choice and kept changing. The whole area was beautifully maintained and full of trees and plants. There were free sunbeds and umbrellas on the beach, the beach was really great and you could see a lot of fishes in the sea. I also appreciate the attitude to local dogs, the hotel supports local organizations that take care of them. On the other hand, if you want to travel around the island like we did, most of the most interesting places are an hour or more away from the hotel.

I can't fault this hotel. We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Always a smile, always a hello. The food was good. In response to other comments: Yes you need to cross a road to go the beach but that was not an inconvenience at all as it is a 100m away and a security guard is kindly ensuring we can cross it without trouble (and it is fairly quiet). The beach is perhaps not as clean as it used to be but let's keep in mind Mauritius just had a storm that damaged some parts of the beach. Not an issue whatsoever for us. You have sunbeds from the hotel which you can use and the water is very clear and excellent snorkeling experience. From the hotel, you can enjoy a pool table, petanque, table football, 2 very nice bars and some entertainment. I'd also like to mention a particularly exceptional service from Varsha.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sunrise Attitude. The grounds are lovely and well cared for. We stayed in a room with a seaview and it was great, we had a little balcony overlooking the pool. There are plenty of sunlougers and parasols around the pool and down at the beach. We stayed half board and thoroughly enjoyed the buffet breakfast and dinner. The food was tasty and there was always something new to try, I loved the curries and the salads in particular. The staff make this hotel so special, they are so friendly and happy! And it made a big difference to our stay! We hope to visit this beautiful island again!

Spent two nights on a half-board basis at this facility. I’ll split my review into pros and cons for ease of reference. Pros: The staff were really nice and hospitable. Service was great throughout my stay. I like the fact that guard even helps you to cross the road to get to beach located across the road. The room and bed were comfortable and nice. The Breakfast buffet was good with many decent options/varieties to choose from. The food was generally ok. The décor in the lounge areas and bar is tasteful and pleasant. Quite loved the pool. The entertainment options were good and my highlight was the Sega Night on Saturday Night. Cons The hotel website claims to be a 4* but gauging from the facilities available, it really does not meet the standards of other similar facilities. My expectations were dashed as I had expected more. The shower is quite squeezed, and some basic toiletries such as a shower cap, face towel were not provided. I found their model of requiring guests to go to the reception to refill water or get some coffee, tea or sugar for the room to be quite annoying. I do not think this model out especially considering some people have anxiety and generally do not like having to ask for stuff. If someone is on holiday, providing some teabags/coffee in the room is surely a basic expectation even in lower-end hotels. Had to call the reception to request the room to be cleaned despite leaving the sticker/knob on the door requesting for the room to be made-up several hours earlier. As someone who is fussy about wine, it was a bit annoying being served wine in the wrong glass and having to request for a change each time I made an order. This is of course not a major issue, but it is a reflection of inadequate training of service-staff. Overview The hotel is good and comfortable. However, I doubt I would have any complaints if this place had advertised itself as a 3* facility as my expectations of the place would have been better managed in comparison.

Beautiful location, across the road from a beautiful beach. Staff extremely friendly and helpful, though slightly lacking attention to details (it was an issue only in the last couple of days when the place began to get busy). As nice as the gesture is, having our room checked and cleaned 3 times a day is a bit of an exaggeration and felt a little bit intrusive. Also, the legendary custom of "reserving" sunbeds by the pool at 7 o'clock began to be uncontrollable and frustrating when we arrived to actually use them and they were all "reserved" but nobody actually using it. Despite all that, we had a great time and we do recommend it.

Fantastic working holiday experience absolutely 💯 👏 👌. Our group of 8 welcome arrival started off with a great nightcap with G a true ambassador of Sunrise Attitude he was warm and friendly. The property is serene and relaxing offering great cuisine in all the 3 restaurants. Thoroughly love that there are no TV's it promotes relaxation through the activities, yoga, cooking classes, creative, dance, cocktail making and the Disco party. Thanks Reena for the hospitality you are a gem. The cherry on top is the best GM I have ever met, a man with a great mind and wisdom. The entire team at Sunrise Attitude is like one Unit with One Goal. The best adults only hotel experience 👌 I miss you all already.

We were last month in the hotel and had there a nice holiday. The adult hotel is good to relax and has also a very close beach. The service was great and the staff are very friendly. There a two things which We don’t like: after a few days we were bored about the food choice. And when we checked out I paid with my Visa card. During that it was booked twice from my card, even I told the staff on site that there is a mistake because I already saw it in my banking app. When I was back in my home country I was right and they booked twice the amount. It take me about 4 weeks to got the double charged costs back from the hotel. Next time I would appreciate if the hotel staff clarify the situation on site when the customer already informed about this issue. I would avoid to pay there again with card because of my experience I made there.

Good service. Very nice people. The establishment was previously known as Émeraude hotel. It has been extended and upgraded. But the old part is still here and IMHO is the best. The new rooms may be of higher standard but they cannot compete in charm with the old rooms which are surrounded by a beautiful garden which include some mature trees. The half board package might keep you on a stress as you are never sure when you might be charged an extra item like teabags or a bottle of water.

Super nice Resort, amusing Staff, quite Beach. We stayed for one week and was everything Perfect! We enjoyed all the activities with all young and super kind Staf. If you like to walk at the beach (like we love it), you will have 8km straight on both sides to explore. Trust me, you will never regret to choose this nice Resort!

We had an amazing time. The personnel were exceptionally competent, friendly and just plain divine. The food was awesome, well prepared and well planned. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The eastern side of the Island is less equipped with external adventures. Guys like Emmanuel, Ravi and Shameem went out of their way to assist and make our stay comfortable. We just love all the pampering.
