What should have been our honeymoon was just another holiday. The accommodation and hotel is beautiful, the staff incredibly friendly but the food and service not what we expected from a 5 star, let alone the Four Seasons. Yes it is expensive, but I don’t mind paying these prices when you are blown away by what is being delivered in return. Sadly this was not the case. We opted for getting a taxi outside of the resort just so that we could get food that we felt was worthy of what is being charged. We had 4 meals on property and with each one we left disappointed. Bland and tasteless. Very sad considering we picked this property so that we could relax and enjoy all the amenities they offer, not spend hours a day in taxis.

The prices simply don’t match provided services. Overhyped and overpriced. We had an issue in billing and pricing which took a whole day to be fixed (this runes it for me, I don’t appreciate arguing prices that should have been settled before hand). Also, The booking says the dinner and breakfast is for 85 & 38 euros respectively per person but you will find out that this not the case and to get this deal you have to get a package otherwise you’ll pay for menu prices. This was not mentioned in the booking. They’ll also charge you in rupees not euros which is significantly more. The pool in the room is not heated. The food is subpar for the price. Open buffet is only once a week for dinner and in other days it’s a menu with extravagant pricing. Other amenities and activities also are overpriced. The staff are quite nice and responsive. The furniture, designs, and landscapes are pleasing and luxurious. What are paying for when you come to this resort is the room size and the views (the main buildings are raised above water at lagoon making a beautiful scenery). If you appreciate this kind of visual luxury, then this may be for you. Otherwise I recommend other 5 star resorts. See my review for the Residence resort which I recommend for comparison.

We had our first couple of days of honeymoon at the resort, the welcoming was not as expected. Our luggage had been late for more than an hour, however and kindly the manager was so respectful and apologized in a good way. After that we had a very noisy neighbors due to poor isolation system!! We can smell their smoke all the time and hear all of their musics. The water at our last two days was not warm as much as it was before. Overall the staff are very kind and welcoming, food, restaurants, and views are great.

Four seasons is one of the best hotel, I’ve never had such great perfect experience in my entire life. The staff are super friendly, kindly, and smily. They were super care to make our honeymoon perfect and it was ! ❤️ once we arrived the hotel they provided me a bouquet of flowers and welcoming juice. The villa was sooo cleaned, everything were perfect. They provided us chocolates cake, some of local desserts and sparkling non alcohol drinks as a complimentary. Thank you so much for the team, u made our honey moon perfect and great. Obviously, I will come again next year in next season.

When us first arrived there was a whole team that welcomed us. They welcomed us and took care of everything. They were really helpful and they were always asking us about our trip and if we need anything. They are very respectful to us. Our room was great. It was clean and smelled good. Their service was great. They bring everything you ask for. The food of their restaurant is really great and their service is magnificent. We felt like we were in a sanctuary inside the resort. The beach is great for swimming and relaxing. They have different types of activities for all ages. They gave us a tour of the resort that was really fun and the guy that gave us the tour was named Aswan who was one of the nicest workers in the resort. This place is definitely one of the best places for relaxing and still having fun at the same time. I would recommend it for people looking to relax in a luxurious place that isn’t noisy. I am looking forward to come back here.

Some of this review is likely based upon missed expectations. The resort wasn’t bad but it fell far short of my expectations based upon the rating and price. Bottom line…I would not recommend this property and I will not stay at a Four Seasons again based upon my experience. Here are my observations: The greeting was nice. We were met with a cool towel and taken right to the villa. A drink would have been a simple and (quite frankly) an expected touch. Villa (3 stars) - The villa was nice but did not have features I would have expected. The kitchen was poorly stocked. For example, there were no bowls or a wine opener. The ice maker didn’t make much ice and upon being notified the staff didn’t seem eager to address it. Little things like shower doors that slammed and “cheap” toilet paper just didn’t meet a 5-star standard. The villa was designed for 8 people but there were only 4 lounge chairs. The cleaning of the villa was excellent. The view was odd. We could have had a view of the water but there were so many trees and shrubs in the way. We were by the golf course so I think the landscaping was intentional for privacy; however, I can see shrubs back home. Food (3 stars) - I should qualify this category in that I’m not a foodie. That being noted, the food was generally overpriced and the selections were limited. I preferred the in-villa dining which was good. Breakfast was excellent! The fresh juices, prepared omelets, breads, crepes/waffles, and more were outstanding. Something odd about breakfast was how food was left out on tables and birds were having feasts on the tables. That’s not cool. Drinks (2stars) - There was a good selection of alcohol. The drinks, however, were weak and pricey. In my opinion they can’t be both weak AND pricey. Bring your own alcohol and make your own drinks in the room. Staff (4.5 stars) - The staff was (mostly) incredible. They were polite, responsive, and got whatever we needed. They worked hard and even when a few things were slow it appeared they were working hard. Housekeeping (5 stars) - The housekeeping services were wonderful. The place was cleaned appropriately during the day, fresh bottled water was provided, and they provided an appropriate turndown service in the evening. Bikes and buggies (3.5 stars) - I’m not a fan of the spread out property; however, they do a good job of providing transportation options. The bikes (after they aired up the tires) were nice and the buggies were convenient. Beaches/Water (4 stars) - The water was beautiful. Definitely go to the private beach. The meal there was nice as well. The Quiet Beach was tranquil and beautiful. Drinks took a long time to get because the bar wasn’t close to that beach. Water Sports (2.5 stars) These are complementary and sounded fun but the water was “too dangerous” to take advantage of the things we wanted to do. I got in the water and it was not dangerous at all so I’m not sure what the issue was. Dress code issue (1-star) The listed dress code was different on the website and app. We were turned away at a restaurant because two people in our group of 6 guys had sandals/flip flops. That, in of itself, was not an issue. After they went back to the villa and changed, the staff allowed numerous people in with sandals and flip flops as well as others in t-shirts (also against the dress code). The manager spoke with others in my party. He was very professional, apologies for the items specifically discussed with him and tried to make things better. Overall, the place was OK but not 5-star quality and not worth the price.

Thank your for our stay Four Seasons. We were here for a week with a family group in July and had an amazing time. Manju, our resort host, provided excellent service and she always had a smile on her face and took care of everything (even non-hotel related). Jenathan provided an amazing experience looking after the kid’s activities which freed the time for the adults to relax. Food was catered perfectly with a great mix of different restaurants and activities were numerous onsite at the resort. Thank you to all the staff at Four Seasons!

The worst experience I’ve ever experienced in checking my villa reservation; it took more than 3 hours for housekeeping to letting me in.. the receptionists promised to check and verify but no feedback at all.. very disappointing and unpleasant experience with too expensive resort. Destroyed our holiday

Service is 5 star for sure. Food is excellent, villas are very cozy with a pool. 10 minute boat ferry to a quiet island with all the Four Seasons hospitalit. The resort might be a little too big for me but overall, it is excellent.

Not up to four seasons standards in terms of service. Despite calling for a buggy multiple times, and having been told that it would be at our room in 5 minutes. We waiting for 40 minutes - then decided to walk. This happened 2 times. Apologies were made by the staff and managers, but only after having complained 3 times. Room service experiences issues - taking orders incorrectly - then failing to inform that they would take additional time. One day we waited for almost 2 hours for the food to arrive. Food was not up to mark for a 5 star and the four seasons brand. I gave up when I received avocado toast with completely unripe avocados. At this point even filing a complaint was pointless. All in all, I would not say that we had an experience that not at all worth the $1000 per night that we ended up spending. Would definitely recommend traveling elsewhere.

Stayed in this beautiful resort in April and I have to say that it got everything you need. Nice restaurants, especially recommend Japanese one, you will not regret! It has nice gym with cool equipment and boxing bag. You can cycle around the entire resort and can make it a daily routine as it is fairly large place. My bungalow was of a great size. Bed was very comfy. Food in all restaurants was really good and breakfast buffet got everything you can wish for. Staff is very welcoming and helpful. If you are looking to swim I would suggest to take a boat to a near by island as water there is clean and it also has a nice bar. Service in the restaurant can be slow at times for those who likes to have quick service but all you need to do is to relax and wait. Room service thought, especially for dinner, can take ages.

A truly 5 star retreat! We spent 4 nights at the Four Seasons Resort (and 6 nights in Shangri-la) in Mauritius during October, and the Four Seasons resort really offered us an unforgettable experience. Shell from the management team helped us with all the details. In particular, she helped me arrange a candle light dinner for my husband’s birthday and it was a great evening by the sea with excellent food. She also carried off the surprising really well! A special shout out also to Rambo for his special cocktails on the private beach! He’s a fun guy and the bar and the boat trip alone are worth the little trip. The water is a vivid turquoise and just the right temperature. It’s worth repeating that the color of the sea is amazing and we stayed in an ocean view bungalow to make the most of it. This offered a lovely view of a small island vegetated by little mangroves. A very nice feature of the bungalow is the outdoor shower. There are also two giant tortoises and a smaller but more active companion in a little garden!

another amazing four seasons property. after check-in you can start forgetting all the minor tasks in your life as four seasons staff will start taking care of those. while doing that they use whatsapp api quite effectively. just message the team and they will attend. congrats four seasons for maintaining such a high level of service quality.

Most friendly service. They welcomed us with ‘formalities’ and took us trough the Resort with no hesitation. We loved the quick visit !

The four season is always amazing, however this four season had a nice staff working there he actually took the liberty to show us the hotel even though we didn’t ask to. He was nice when I had an issue with my room and was easy to find. The staff personal and everything was perfect. I honestly didn’t like the restaurant at the island. Overpriced but the food quality wasn’t that great.

My husband and I had the most unbelievable stay at the Four Seasons Resort Mauritius at Anahita. It exceeded all of our expectations! The grounds and the villas are spectacular. The staff and the service was exceptional. They went above and beyond to ensure that everything was perfect and to our satisfaction. They accommodated our request for a late checkout which allowed us to enjoy our last day at the resort before having to leave for the airport. We are very grateful to all of the staff for their attentiveness and for making us feel so special. Bravo!

Excellent to stay and relax.. normal food but very expensive, and since you don’t have options nearby you have to pay the asked price. Location is far from all activities and restaurants. Kids club is the best for your kids, leave them and they will enjoy the most.

We stayed at the beach pool villa which was pretty nice. The villa is not really private since everyone have access to the beach in front, so if you are looking for a private villa you should take the ocean villa. The service was ok, we have had some issues before checking out but it was resolved. Also, I highly recommend to take the boat to the île aux Cerfs island and do some activities there.

Have you ever imagined Paradise? Well this is it. Everything about this Resort was amazing. From location to the Villas to the service to the the activity options. The restaurant which was good was the Indian cuisine, the rest was acceptable. We booked a one bedroom villa and got upgraded to a two bedroom villa which is very specious. Look for yourself

We’ve had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We saw reviews about the food being average but that was far from the truth. The restaurants, staff, food, and hotel in general has been fantastic. The Italian is superb! All staff from the restaurants through to the water sports and house keeping made us feel incredibly welcome and relaxed. Thanks for a great stay. The private beach on the remote island is also fantastic!

They made our experience special starting from the most easiest and fastest check-in process, their friendly staff and wonderful services! The place is amazing. They have various free water activities, variety of food in 6 restaurants, extraordinary spa and gym. They also have complementary daily activities! I would definitely revisit this place again ✨!

Wow, an absolute gem of a resort. True to the Four Seasons experience. Private rooms with ample space, a splash pool, backyard outdoor shower and front garden which led to the beach. Loved the welcome home by staff when we checked in. The food at the Indian restaurant was excellent, kudos to the chef and staff there. Was a tad disappointed with the breakfast offerings which tended to be the same everyday, but the service from staff and management was par excellence. The property itself is a dream. However, it is quite a distance from Port Louis and Grand Baie so I would recommend hiring a car for a day trip. It’s worth the time. I would definitely go back but would book with the breakfast option only and pay for meals at the restaurants on site. Thank you to all the lovely, gracious employees who made our stay memorable. ♥️

Location is good. Rooms are really nice. Its just bit disgusting when I found out house keeping team come unannounced to clean second time at evening. Being unaware, we were in hurry and left bag open where we had our dollars ( our national currency were as is it )and powerbank. Which were stolen. We always chose to stay with such brand knowing loyalty to visitors and respect. Not at all recommended. This incident happened 13th Nov evening

The resort villas and facilities is great ! And the staff is so friendly and responsive , the only complaint is The food isn’t good nor sufficient and there’s no surrounding area or many restaurant options to order or have food. Only 3-4 restaurants and some of them close for some days forcing you to eat in one particular restaurant that is very pricy and have small (almost non-existent) portions. If you love food 🥘 in your vacation go to another resort!

The Four Seasons are well-known known for their services worldwide, but this particular resort happens to be on the beautiful little Island of Mauritius. The resort is wonderful, the food was spectacular, and the people were tremendous.. the bar by the lobby has one of the best views in the whole resort, and all the staff there are genuinely keen on making you feel comfortable. Shoutout to David who took care of us while we were there. Would definitely recommend to couples or families for vacationing. Not the kind of place you'd want to be with friends only because there is nothing around the resort itself, but all the fun towns are only an hour away.. cheers. Dr. Jean-Marc E. Choufani

The hotel is beautiful, the staff are friendly. If you’re staying here you have to book your massage with Villashia , she is an expert! I am only reducing one star because the massage room was very cold and I was shaking! Although Villashia tried her best to keep me worm and covered me and provided heater to make the room warmer . I wished to enjoy my full experience without having to feel cold :(

I would like to thank the resort for their beautiful hospitality, beautiful in the true sense of the word, it was one of the most beautiful nights, and there is also an employee whose style and treatment is very good. I would like to thank her and her name is (Minachi). Thank you very much to the lovely management

Really disappointed by our experience of this 5 star hotel. There was a catalogue of issues and mistakes during our stay which completely ruined our experience of this beautiful hotel in an exquisite surronding. This hotel is not practical for a family with young children as depending whete your villa is, you're dependent on the buggy to take you to the restaurants or the beach. As such you would expect that the buggy arrive at the you've booked it for but unfortunately we were left waiting on several occasions for at least 15 mins which is a lot at meal times with little ones! The choice of food on the kids menu was very limited and both the chicken nuggets and fish fingers were dry and overcooked. My husband also had a major incident when he walked in the balcony glass door (which had no stickers) and suffered a big bump to his head and the glass door broke. They however failed to send a nurse or first aider to see if he was alright. Lastly, we were billed incorrectly at check out for laundry when we never even did any during our stay. I could go on and on but overall, we did not feel valued as guests at this hotel. We will not be coming back.

I absolutely LOVE the experience i’m getting here. Everything is so simple and easy, it takes one messege to the hotel whatsapp to arrange my whole day. Kamini is an amazing manager and she has been more than hospitable and welcoming. The hotel environment is scenic and just walking through it is a joy. Recommending this hotel to anyone coming to Mauritius!

UPDATE: So on my previous review I did mention that, we had a number of billing issues and minus that our stay was amazing!! I really want to give an an extra special mention to Mr Sebestian Ganry, the resort manager, who personally called me, and wanted feedback, and for me this is going the extra mile, and actually taking the time to listen to guests. That deserves a 5 star!

A resort that needs maintenance, the staff (reception, managers, and resort manage mr sbastian are 10/10), the rooms need some TLC, the surfers at the restaurants is not good, the are slow and not caring for the customers. i had a small incident with my family, and every manager in the resort came to help, and took us to a near by hospital for care. againe, excellent staff, not so good good resturant staff and rooms that needs some TLC.

comparing to the price and room rate I’m disappointed about the hotel and especially about the organisation. Perhaps Corona and the reopening is a matter, but my expectations were much higher from my first holiday in a four Seasons resort. Some examples… - in the Asian restaurant we waited 15 minutes to get the menu and 1hour for our starter) this should not happened in a highclass resort - there is a neighbour island with a four seasons restaurant (all private and really nice!!). There is a fix time schedule for the boat transfer (takes 10 minutes drive) and I booked a fix time for golf. For some reason the boat has a 25 minutes delay and I missed my golf appointment. It’s annoying. Btw, the Island is closed on Sunday, I asked via whatsapp for a reservation on the Island and they confirmed. At the dock they told me that the Island is closed. I think the organisation team should know and tell me this!! -we booked a table at the Italian restaurant at 08:30pm. At 09:20 we got this table. Waiting time 50 minutes!!! But the guys did a good job, gave us a free drink and a Pizza in advance to share. -what’s app communication takes too long for answers.. -no diving available at the hotel, but on the website is advertisement for diving the beach is not so nice -Internet connection is just medium, better Internet for working and video calls costs extra charge. Sorry, but this is ridicules in 2021 all just small things, but too much for this level… On the other side, the resort is nice, ocean room villa is a recommendation, the stuff polite and the quality of food really really perfect! During the seven days I had just perfect food!

Luxury Hotel delivering a 5 Star Service. This is our 3rd time here and our Villa overlooking the Beach is fabulous. The resort is so well laid out that even if it is full, you will never know. All the staff are delightful and the food offerings are many and varied: Indian, Asian, French, Italian and local Fish from Mauritius. I highly recommend this Hotel for a relaxing few days and for indulging either with Food, the Spa, the Golf or the Watersports.

A highly presentable location with an opportunity to enjoy some great recovery time in clearly a nice part of the world. We found all the staff to be very engaging and friendly and enjoyed their proactive and authentic approach to engaging with us. Food is good, expensive, but perhaps what is to be expected. Eating away from the hotel isn’t logistically easy to do due to the location so it’s worth researching the restaurants first. We enjoyed the snorkelling with Kavi, nature walk (with Ryan) and the hotel organised a great day out for us in the Black Gorges National Park with their driver Ram who was very helpful. The short boat trip (free) to the island is well worth it as the bar, beach and experience are all better than the main resort as they are more rustic. The resort is big and we used the provided bikes every day so had no issues getting around. Not sure I would want to be waiting for buggies as the independence the bikes provided was fun. The spa was well used and we really enjoyed the treatments. The girls there were excellent and also charming. The fitness centre was a frequent home for us and the team there were really helpful and ever present. We tried boot camp, Pilates, wellness walks and general gym activities and it was a great way to start the day. In summary, it’s easy to find fault with an expensive resort when you are there 12 days. But the extra moments created by the people help make you feel a little special, and with a beautiful resort as a base, it was just what we needed.

Good evening, The resort it’s amazing and the greens everywhere which is really relaxing. However, we are a family with 2 kids and our booking a villa with swimming pool, and after our check in we recognized the pool too cold (I am assuming the staff should inform us earlier) then we ask for another villa with heater in the pool, it took us 3 hours to move to the new villa and we have paid the difference immediately. Then we surprised the heater of the pool need up to 8 hours to activate it🤦🏻‍♂️. In summary, my recommendation for the staff to communicate clearly to the clients And for clients make sure you provide your requirements in details to avoid misunderstanding!

What an exquisite place to visit and stay in, welcoming and kind staff, great hospitality with comfortable accommodation and amenities. We were staying at the ocean view villa with a fascinating view which is a perfect choice for honeymooners! There are different restaurants from different cuisines at the resort which I personally recommend to try them all during the stay. Thank you to all the staff and special thanks to Sheil who organized for us incredible tours and activities at the island and Mari who helped us by finding the most suitable villa for us. Overall our stay was flawless.
