Bit of a dirk track to get there. Plenty of parking but rocky. Lovely views. Although we went late, they had ran out of iced tea. Fairly good staff service. Toilet facilities were clean. Restaurant is only open in the day time. Didn't do the tea tasting but recommend a visit for the views and plantation. If hiring a car beware of the rocks and tight road.

Beautiful scenery over the tea plantation from this original colonial house. We enjoyed tasting the various teas and bought some to bring home. The rum experience was also great, seeing the procedure from start to finish, getting to taste and chew on sugar cane, taste the different rums and then buying our favourite to tak away.

Vanilla chicken was delicious and had a special flavor (I recommend it). Bois cheri salad was so nice as well. The restaurant has a beautiful view. Service was extremely slow…it took quite a while to take our order. Prices are suitable.

Looking for a nice spot to chill in the afternoon as a Tea Lover? Well, Domaine du Bois Cheri offers you the opportunity to enjoy all its varieties of tea flavors for a single price. You get nature fresh air but also the best view from the restaurants deck. You can also enjoy a sweet stroll to the lake or try some pedallo if you’re up to it. It’s mostly a one time experiece and a tourist attraction. Also price of a single pancake is expensive, and opt for the option of single infusion if you are in a group. It has better pricing and you still can share. Go out there Tea Lovers!

A very scenic and serene restaurant perched on a hill overlooking a lake and a tea and guava plantation. The food was also lovely and the staff were very friendly. It was also really nice walking around the area and soaking in the fresh air and sunshine.

The beautiful place, good service, moderate prices. Why 3 stars? The lamb chops were bad, harder than rubber; in addition, there were dead ants in the side salad. When the manager asked if the food was good and learned about the chops, he proposed to replace the dish - I asked about the second octopus salad (the first one had been really good), to be on the safe side. However, they forgot to add the tasty sauce to it.

I recently had the pleasure of taking a lunch at Bois cherish restaurant , and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I entered, the warm and inviting ambiance set the tone for a memorable day. I would like to extend my gratitude, especially to Teena, for providing exceptional service throughout the night. Every aspect of the dining experience was top-notch. The menu boasted a wide array of mouthwatering dishes, ranging from traditional favorites to innovative creations. The flavors were expertly crafted, showcasing a perfect balance of ingredients and seasonings. Each dish was presented beautifully, stimulating not only the taste buds but also the visual senses. What truly set this dining experience apart was the impeccable service provided by Tina. From the moment she approached our table, Tina was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She took the time to walk us through the menu, offering insightful recommendations and ensuring all our dietary preferences were met. Her warm and genuine demeanor made us feel valued as customers, and she made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Tina's attention to detail was exceptional. She anticipated our needs, ensuring our glasses were always refilled, plates were cleared promptly, and that we were comfortable throughout the evening. Moreover, her knowledge of the menu and willingness to accommodate modifications or special requests made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Furthermore, Teena went above and beyond to create a truly memorable experience. She took the time to engage in meaningful conversation, making us feel like more than just customers; we felt like valued guests. Her passion for her job and genuine enthusiasm for creating a positive experience was evident in every interaction. I must also commend the entire staff at the Bois Cheri Restaurant for their professionalism and teamwork. From the moment we walked in until the time we left, the staff worked seamlessly together, ensuring all guests received exemplary service. In conclusion, my dining experience at the Bois Cheri Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional, and Teena played a significant role in making it so. Her exceptional service, attention to detail, and warm personality truly set her apart. I highly recommend visiting the Bois Cheri Restaurant and requesting Teena as your server for an unforgettable dining experience. I will definitely be returning in the future and look forward to experiencing more of their delectable creations and remarkable service. Thank you once again, Teena, for going above and beyond to make our day special!

The 2nd time i have been there and the experience was amazing. Really nice views with the mountains and the greenery. Had a joyful moment feeding bread to the deer as well ( goyaves de chine) to the boars present there. Tina our waitress was professional , had an excellent service and the food was apetitising . We were four of us with 2 of my foreign friends and we enjoyed our octopus salad, palm salad with smoked marlin;chicken , fish and shrimps as main course. The food were well seasoned with an unusually good taste. Tina the waitress deserves a promotion as she was very welcoming and she paid attention to our requests.

Very beautiful and chilling place... Fully located in nature with spellbound views and the air is really a treat for lungs. Only negative point is the price for the just the tea degustation... Quite high for just tea drinking.

The restaurant is located in the tea plantation and you have a nice view either on the nearby lake or the coastline and you might see some animals (pigs, geese and deer). However, the place feels a bit hectic and crowded since it is quite touristic. Food and service was ok.

Stopped here on a whim after hiking up a nearby hill. Found the location and building absolutely amazing. Beautiful grounds and setting among the hills and tea fields. Tea tasting was actually sitting at a table with ten different boxes of tea, some cups and some teapots with hot water. Very simple but I loved it. Kids enjoyed it too as well as the crepes. I really didn’t want a curated tasting experience with sieved out tea leaves and someone timing how long it brews for! Tea tasting (basically unlimited cups of tea!)with crepes for four came to around £20.

Another gem in mauritius, so peaceful ✌️ you start by driving on the path from the tea factory, going deeper into the scenery, occasional encounters with deers. As you go uphill, you are dazzled with the sheer beauty of the lake and its surrounding. They used to do kayak, removed now. (I've requested to bring it back - do the same if want it too Vox populi 😉) The restaurant is on the peak with a magnificent view sun-kissed all the way 🌞 opera/jazz/relaxing ambiance music for the capturing this moment. Lots of tables and nice views too - but make sure to reserve first before coming. Waitress and staff was professional & catered for our needs. Food was served quick too. Have the tea paste "satini du thé" on ur break while you wait - it's on the house. Delicious my belly agrees 😄 very romantic setting. After eating a must to go for a walk with ur better half, i sure did, meeting some monkeys, pigs, ducks, turkey and deers. Oh dear it was a delight 😊 on my next visit to explore more. An absolute must do experience!!

Went there for lunch. Window table was booked for us as request which is nice. Staffs was very friendly and helpful. Service is slow but understandable since the restaurant was full. Food was the biggest disappointment. Not many vegetarian options and no vegan options. That really a big negative point for a restaurant that supposedly need to be up to date with the times. Not ever going there again.

This place was incredible beyond what I was able to imagine. The food was delicious and so were the drinks. We did this as part of the 3 step tea experience and we chose to have our lunch here - best decision ever. The fish was amazing as was the vindaye and the desserts were to-die-for.

I was here a year ago, and did a fantastic tea tasting, all harvested from the area. Many different flavours to have. Plenty of parking, but the road is a dirt / gravel road, so drive slow. The atmosphere is quiet and serine, a great place to relax.

Dear Management, I came to your restaurant with my colleagues today. This is not the first time I've been there. We have even hosted a wedding ceremony and an engagement party and dinner here with my family and relatives, and you have always been beyond reproach. With your beautiful setting and landscape, the pictures are always amazing, the food too. However, today, after receiving a not-so-welcoming service and cold-ish treatment, we gave an authentic review which I volunteered to write on behalf of my colleagues. Your employee came out to us, while we were taking pictures and making our way home, to demand an explanation in an aggressive way, quoting to us what had been written and specifically demanding us who had written that comment. She was blaming us for getting her in trouble. While it was the opinion of all of nine of us present, I said that it was I who had written the comment and was asked to justify that and defend myself. Way to ruin our mood and our day out! This is exactly what I mean by not being welcoming and unpleasant because if it was a tourist, this wouldn't have even come up. And if the review was on the slight negative side, you would have genuinely improved your services. We didn't want to be rude, I added a smiley too to show our good will. By coming out to personally 'hunt' us down and targeting one of us when we wrote 'my name and friends' was simply not professional. Plus, I just wrote down what others had felt. We wish you give your customers more consideration. It was not that bad a thing, just something we observed that particular time. By coming to each of us and looking for someone to blame or fight with wasn't nice at all.

The server was really kind and attentive, gave really good service. The food was all delicious and the menu had a good variety of meals. I liked that the portion sizes were ‘normal’ not huge. We (7 people) were served promptly. The restaurant itself is really lovely with wonderful views of the tea plants, gardens and local wildlife.

On arrival, we had not booked. Not smart with Easter, where it was fully booked, but the hostess did her best to arrange a table for us. After about 15 minutes, we got a table for two with a beautiful view. The service, in our case Tina, was very good. She told us about the estate and local food. Among other things, we were given a tea chutney. The vanilla chicken was delicious. In between, Tina refilled our glasses and asked if everything was to our liking. All this made our visit perfect! And then I haven't written anything about the surroundings yet, well check out the photos... Definitely recommended!

Had to wait long before getting food due to lack of staff during festive days. Barman took more than 30 minutes to give 4 beers, was constantly on his phone. The waitress roumila was very kind and was always here to help. Also upon arrival we were informed that our reservation done 2/3 days ago was not valid for whatever stupid reason. However, the food was delicious and excellent atmosphere, the domaine is really neat.

Beautiful restaurant in an idyllic location overlooking tea plantations. The service was top notch and the food delicious. I'd highly recommend you order something from the Local Cuisine menu for a taste of Mauritius. Featured in photo: Octopus curry with rice and lentils.

Really beautiful location with a great view from inside the restaurant. Definitely worth the trip! Food was good but nothing special, same for the service. We had the Tea Chicken and the Chicken Masala Pizza.

Enjoyed the view, saw wild boar and a rooster roaming around. The food is reasonably priced and has good portion. Service was superb, quick, efficient and attentive. The ambiance and the view is stunning! Although I wasn’t enjoying the smoke from the indoor pizza oven. Enjoyed all the food especially the appetizer calamari! We enjoyed all the local cuisine, the deer curry, seafood rougaille and fish curry - everything was deliiiicious! One thing was a let down was the dessert, the banana tart was soggy tart, baba au rhum was served with too much sugar. Other than that, I had a wonderful meal and time and I will come back!
