Nice cozy restaurant and wonderful Indian food. If you like spicy, do try the prawn manchurian. Was yummy. Staffs were very welcoming and helpful. Totally recommend the place!!!

I had the non-veg lunch special today at this lovely restaurant. The special allows you to sample 4 dishes (you choose your meat) with a dessert, rice and naan. Portions were good and I especially enjoyed the okra dish.

Wr were as happy as Rajah! A lovely place to eat at reasonable prices. We ended up eating here twice and it was more or less the cheapest meal for our party of 4. Staff were very friendly and food is well flavoured and fresh. We tried Indian at a couple of other places but were not as impressed.

Our second time at Happy Time Rajah and we have not regretted it. The food is very aromatic and tasty. The lunch deal is a blast.

My first time there and food was awful. Naan was too oily, butter chicken was just a red sauce and the lamb curry was supposed to be spicy. I'm normally an indian food lover but the food there made me sick. The only thing I liked was the pickle 😏

Delightful Indian feast. Be aware that they are still checking the Covid certificates on entry. The dishes are around 50-100% more expensive than in a standard restaurant but having in mind that it is in a center of a tourist hub I think it is still reasonable.

The blend is simply perfect. Compliment to the chef Price: average prices with great lunch deals for about 270rs. Service: friendly and attentive Restaurant: Simple wood focused furniture Parking: there are plenty of free parking slots available in front of the mall.

MY FAVOURITE INDIAN RESTAURANT. I'm a repeated client and the best fan of Happy Rajah Restaurant, atleast the one found in Grand Bay. PROS •EXCELLENT food. •Nice and polite staffs. •Relaxing atmosphere. •Affordable. •Parking Facilities as the restaurant is situated at Super U Grand Bay. •Payments can be done either by cash or by card. •Clean establishment, including washrooms. •Wide variety of choices (Chicken/Lamb/Fish/Veg curries/ Crab soup/ Naans) •Lots of choices for beverages as well. CONS Still cannot find any negative points.

I've been twice and both times I have not been disappointed. Once with 5 friends and once with my parents. The food is very tasty and like all Indian restaurants it can be a bit too spicy for some. So ask before ordering .The cheese and garlic naan were as expected. The lamb Andhra was amazing, the fish platter and the mix grill was very good. The service is very friendly and they will accommodate as much as possible. I asked if they had naan with cheese and pepper, it wasn't on the menu but it was served.

Excellent Indian restaurant. Best in Mauritius. Clean, sanitized. Had the daily special thali which was amazing and value of money. Also ordered the pani puri, lamb seekh kebab and the fish vindaloo. Excellent friendly service. A winner.

We had an amazing dinner here after driving past a few times using the launderette/shopping mall we chose here for dinner! We had been missing out! The food was delicious and the restaurant was very nicely presented! It was busy when we arrived but the service was personable, efficient and delivered with care. The food was really tasty and not over seasoned, over spiced or over coloured. We ordered pappadums, a starter platter to share, daal, a biriyani, a curry, 3 naans (they were soooo good!) and two drinks one being alcoholic! The bill came in at under MUR 1600 we were so impressed! Tastiest and most reasonable meal we have since arriving on the island 4 weeks ago! Would definitely come back to experience the lunch thali or for dinner again!

Thinking about this, I couldn't find any reason this was not a 5 star spot. Yes the restaurant is in a Mall/Shopping Centre but that shouldn't detract you. The service was fantastic, friendly and informative. The food was perfectly cooked, tender meat and full of authentic Indian flavours. We decided to try this out based on some reviews and we were definitely surprised and surpassed our expectations. We ordered a mix starter to share, but you do only get one piece of each, so if you have an appetite, order per person. This was followed by a Butter Chicken curry, Lamb Biryani, Dal and butter Naan. Will definitely be back.

Delicious curries. Perfect for a causal night out. The food is really great with a large variety of vegetarian options as well. The service was very good - very friendly and quick. Portion size is good and the portion of rice is very generous. Would suggest ordering extra naans- they are great!

Nice ambience. Music not too loud. And the decor adds to the experience. Ordered chicken vindaloo, Tarkewali Dal, Malai kofta and garlic Naan. I've been eating at the other outlet in Phoenix and it's great to see that the Grand Baie one is equally great, if not better. The Vindaloo was a bit spicy but I kept going for more. The Malai Kofta was tasty and it reminds me of how hard it is to get it right. Every curry tastes distinct and unique here. The servings of curry are reasonable and the viscosity of the sauces are just right. Not too thick, not too runny. The green mint chutney served with the Poppadums was helpful in cutting the heat of the Vindaloo occasionally. Had an issue with card payment being temporarily unavailable on the bank's side and the nice lady at the cashier even helped us figure out how to get a discount code from the restaurant's app. Arguably the best indian restaurant in Mauritius. Will visit again.

Must visit, friendly service and tasty food. We tried the lunch special of Chicken tikka thali, and opted to have garlic naan instead of plain naan and rice. It was totally worth it.

Surprisingly good Indian restaurant. Excellent and varied menu. We were there off season but the place was full. Would happily eat here again. Good value.

Staff not welcoming at all.. They were even fighting among themselves in the presence of client.. Food was ok but not as tasty as that in Phoenix..

We arrived late, but were invited in. But once in it was a non stop rush. Asking if they could clean the table while we were still eating. Talking away glasses when water bottle was not empty. Really inpolite waiters constantly just aside your table. Food was nice, very good price quality, but would not go back because of general atmosphere. Perhaps because we are tourists as no goodbye or smile when we left. So not so happy in the end.

Honestly food is ok, i was served by a beautiful girl, i explained her i don't have much time left as leaving for airport. She made my lamb thali available in 10 minutes with bottle of water, costed me 400 rupees.

I had Indian food here in Mauritius for the first time in December with my wife and I must say it was really one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever been to. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating.

Very good place for dinner or lunch. I’m always ordering butter chicken with butter naan, in fact, butter naan is one of the best I’ve ever tried. The staff is super fast and professional in serving you. Don’t hesitate to go there for a dinner while in Grand Baie
