The beach is very long, very nice colours, but not suitable in Mauritian winter. Winds are high ans the strip of sand is tiny and dirty with seaweed. In low season, better to go elsewhere.

Little bit disappointed in this beach. Lots of dead coral. The tide was way out which did not help. Part of it is very soft sand but there is quite a lot of rubbish but the closer you get to the sea the more coarse the sand, more rocks and more coral. It was a great beach to walk along though, and very quiet.

I’ll give it two stars for the visual gram but it does stink. I feel bad for people that stay in the east coast and never seen the other beaches on Mauritius cause the ones on the east stink so bad and the water itself as a weird pink foam which has got to be unhealthy. Don’t waist your time exploring this end of the island if you intend to go swimming in the sea.

Lovely beach with palm trees to find shade. Can recommend the lady selling coconuts there up close to the street. Very friendly. Toilets are not the greatest... but at least there are some. Plenty of parking available along the beach

This picturesque beach is located on the Eastern side of the island and thus it can be pretty windy. The beach is surrounded with green foliage and has nice and soft sand. There is a big parking lot nearby. There were many dead corals on the beach, but all of these just added the tranquility of nature. It was pretty quiet during the weekend morning.

Belle mare beach is huge. If you are in a spot that doesn't suit you, drive a bit and find another one. The beach is quite varied with great swimming areas, fishing areas and shade areas. Toilets (well the one we visited) was brand new. It is always windy, worse in winter months but the breeze is welcome in the summer.

Had a great day at this beach. The best fish curry as well from one of the foodstalls. Can't wait to go back

When you walk through the village, lots of people will say good morning or good afternoon. Just be polite and friendly and many people will pass the time of day with you. Beautiful white sandy beach with turcoise waters. When we visited jt(august) it was cold, cloudy and very, very windy and had lots of algae. There is a large pine forest and plenty of parking spaces. The public toilets were horrible, dirty, run down.
