It's the most idyllic beach on Mauritius! Nearly no people in October there, toilets and a little snack bar available. You can just park your car near the beach and have a great time laying in the sun or go snorkeling (current isn't that strong). There a also street dogs, but they don't care about you so you can just relax and enjoy! More than 5 stars, totally recommend!

Le Bouchon Public Beach is a hidden gem located on the southeastern coast of Mauritius. As soon as I stepped onto the white sandy shore and dipped my toes into the turquoise waters, I knew that I had discovered a special place. The beach is easily accessible and free to the public, making it a popular spot for both locals and tourists. The first thing that struck me about Le Bouchon Public Beach was the stunning natural beauty that surrounds it. The beach is bordered by lush green vegetation, and the water is so clear that you can see all the way to the bottom. The sand is incredibly soft and fine, and it feels like walking on a cloud. The beach is clean and well-maintained, and there is plenty of space to lay out a towel and relax in the sun. I was pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and uncrowded the beach was. Despite its popularity, there were very few people around, which made it feel like my own private paradise. The lack of private resorts or exclusive areas means that the beach retains its natural charm and beauty. However, this also means that there are no amenities like restaurants or showers on the beach, so be sure to bring your own food and supplies if you plan to spend the day there. Le Bouchon Public Beach is an excellent spot for swimming and snorkeling. The water is warm and inviting, and there is a wide variety of fish and marine life to be seen. If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a paddleboard or kayak and explore the coastline. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Le Bouchon Public Beach. It's a great spot for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a peaceful and beautiful beach to enjoy in Mauritius. The natural beauty, tranquility, and accessibility of the beach make it a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Mauritius. I highly recommend taking the time to visit this hidden gem and experiencing its magic for yourself.

I have been just once at Le Bouchon, on my way to a social gathering. I was appeasing, calm, with local people spending good time with families and friend. It is a good place to discover, to spend some cool time, watching the sea and having a good rest, picnic, lunch... I can't really say if it is appropriate to swim there, therefore I can only recommend for a nice moment on the beach.

Very nicevand beautiful beach. Its a bit rocky. When I went there on a sunday afternoon there was good number of people but was not crowded. There is a toilet facility. Occasionally, we can see planes climbing from the nearby SSR airport. However, the roas leading to the beach is very narrow. One has to be very careful. There are adequate signs to lead you to the beach. Overall a very nice beach which has maintained its qualities.

Very calm and quite beach. This place is off the tourist grid.Good place to relax and have picnic with family and friends. Good for children to play in water as it's not deep. Come prepared with food and drinks.

Quiet Beach with a pleasant view on the open sea. Quite different from other beaches around the Island, dominated by mangrooves and a high wall of Basalt rocks as reef ... Gives you a stunning view of the crashing waves on the rocks from the shore.
