My recent stay at this hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel was not equipped to handle the needs of its guests. The parking situation was a complete disaster, with a crowded lot that forced us to move our car multiple times, causing significant inconvenience. The dining experience was equally disappointing. The food was stale, bland, and unappetizing. The dining area was dirty and uninviting, with debris and crumbs scattered over the tables. I was hoping to try out some of the other restaurants on the property, but unfortunately, they were all closed except for the Turkish restaurant. When I approached the lady taking bookings, she was completely inflexible and unhelpful, refusing to book us a table just because we arrived a few minutes before 10 am. We explained that we had a conference to attend, but she was not willing to accommodate us. The glass bottom trip was also a disaster. Despite the hotel only offering two trips a day, the other guests in front of us had booked for their entire families, leaving no spots available for us. The hotel's inability to manage and allocate spots for this activity reflects poorly on their overall level of organization and customer service. But the worst part of my stay was the dirty room. The housekeeping staff clearly didn't bother to clean it properly. The furniture was dusty, and we had to ask the staff several times and wait for ages for them to change our towels, which was quite annoying. The room had faulty electrical sockets and a broken curtain rail. To make matters worse, the staff were incredibly unwelcoming and unhelpful, wasting motion every time they had to attend to a guest. The check-out process was a nightmare, with our luggage left in the room despite being promised that it would be brought down for us. We waited for three hours in the lounge, with no communication from the staff. It turned out that they had completely lied to us, leaving our luggage in our room the entire time. Overall, this experience left a sour taste in my mouth about the hotel's management and staff. The staff's lies and lack of accountability left us feeling frustrated and let down. It's a shame that such a beautiful hotel is being run by such unprofessional and dishonest staff. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for a better hotel experience!

Should be a 3 star hotel!!! Only 2 of your waiters were helpful... if they don't want to work or attend to mauritian guests then they are in the wrong job. The chef greeted only the tourists...room lacking lots of stuff... never going back there again. Might be good for tourists but certainly not for locals. Superior Seaview room is useless.. even the junior suite...TV doesn't work... minibar has only water... heated pool is a joke. Drop the price and the star. 3 stars at best!!

Been there during weekend with 2 young kids. Energetic enthusiastic kids club staff them entertained from morning to night. So many things for kids to do: pony aqualand kids club activities. Great fun for us and kids. Great food too and dessert . Great variety. Minor issues with room amenities. Spacious room. Good value for money especially with young kids sharing parents room. Will surely come back.

This hotel ruined my honeymoon. 3rd grade services. Water from the bathtub overflows to your room under the bed. Minibar fridge was out of order and a pungent smell was all over the room. Waterjet in toilet was not working, and has to get it changed. The handle to open the toilet was broken from inside so you have to ask someone to come and open from outside. No sticker on shower gel & shampoo. Had to request for hangers seperately. The cloth string was also broken and had to get it changed. After all this when I requested for a room change at 08.00 AM in morning, no action take till 03.00 PM. Wastage of money and time. Come to this hotel and you will be stucked to the intercom only. WiFi only works good in lobby. Poor/Irregular signals in rooms. Spent more time dealing with the hotel maintenance person, than with my wife or beach. Come to waste your money.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at the Maritim Crystal Beach and to put it simply, chaos seemed to reign supreme during my entire stay. From the abysmal food to the unhelpful receptionists and the delayed room allocation, this hotel fell far short of its promises. Let's start with the most fundamental aspect of any hotel experience - the food. I was appalled by the quality and taste of the meals served. The dining options were limited, and even the basic dishes were executed poorly. The food lacked any hint of freshness, and it seemed as if the kitchen had no regard for presentation or flavor. This was a major letdown, as one would expect a more enjoyable culinary experience during their stay. On top of the disappointing dining experience, the receptionists at this hotel were equally underwhelming. I encountered a lack of professionalism and genuine interest in assisting guests. My inquiries and requests were met with indifference, and any attempts to address the issues were brushed off without a sense of urgency. It's disheartening when the very people meant to enhance the guest's experience end up contributing to the overall dissatisfaction. To add to the series of disappointments, the room allocation process was marred by a significant delay. My check-in time was scheduled for 15:00, but I was informed that my room would not be ready until 17:00. This two-hour delay left me exhausted and frustrated after a long journey. The lack of communication and proper planning was evident and unacceptable for a hotel that claims to provide top-notch service. Furthermore, beyond these primary grievances, I noticed a general lack of cleanliness and upkeep throughout the hotel premises. The overall atmosphere was far from inviting, and it felt as if the management had neglected the property's maintenance. I however want to thanks Sanjay and Samad for their cooperation and how they handled the situation.

The reservation team was very efficient in providing us the best option and price. Had a very nice time. Food was excellent and was replenished regularly. There was a good variety also over the day and subsequent days as well. Drinks were available all day on the all inclusive package. The aqualands is a must for kids and adults.

Beautiful property bang on the beach ⛱️. Huge place with great restaurants and bar. Buffet spread served is different every day and with different theme. Lots of options for deserts and drinks available. Service is also good. They arrange water sports and have there own water park inside. You can spend leisure time at the spa as well. Had a great and rejuvenating experience after massage. Definitely worth 👍

Beautiful place In harmony with nature. The food is delicious and the people are very nice. Many activities for children and adults. You can drink coconut water directly if you pick one from the tree. Directly in the beach is perfect spot for snorkeling. AI guest have big arsenal on drinks to choose from. The only bad thing is the unstable Internet in the rooms.

I don't want to distract away from what should be a fantastic hotel.. on first appearance it all seemend very fine and well presented. but there are cracks.. BIG ones ! But all smoothed over very carefully This resort is tired and is operating on a very very low budget. Cleanliness is not the strong point.. Anywhere ! Dining is a challenge to make sure you can eat your food before a flock of birds pitch on your table.. if you are lucky you get a cat to see off the birds, and if you are even luckier you get a stray dog to see off the cat... eating in the restaurant is like feeding time at the local Zoo. ! There appeared to be no catering consideration for anyone with dietary restrictions, nothing was labelled to say contains nuts or gluten etc. Fish night is fish night.. so you need to like fish ! If you don't, sadly there is NOTHING for you , unless you make a specific request and the chef may rustle something up especially for you. There are no Pork products.. no sausages, no ham. All the meat is either chicken, lamb or beef.. in various guises... there was an offering of venison one evening but didn't look like any kind of venison I've seen before. Nothing appears clean.. the cutlery, the cups, the glasses.. and you never know how many birds have pitched on your fork before you sit down. The pool bar operates a No glass policy.. perfect safety arrangement nearby a pool environment.. but drinks are served in tall soft plastic beakers. Scratched both internal and exterior and smelling with remaint of the previous customers beverage... The rooms are dated, many of the fittings were broken, tye sinks were blocked taking quite a while to drain. the skirting board was placed against the wall in the hope it stays there and nobody kicks it . The beds were not clean , the mattresses have seen much better days wrre very dirylty and atained. The pillows were stained and no pillow protectors used The sheets and bedding had labels dating to 2018...and were a grayish colour.. or Off white as we became accustomed to say... we tried to do a quick calculation of how many different people would have slept in that bedding between 2018 and 2023 and how many washes it may have had... we gave up when the number became quite large. The daily cleaners try their best but don't have any detergents or cleaning materials.. the shower gels in the bathroom have been watered down multiple times.. , the.mirrors are smeared where they are wiped with a damp cloth and allowed to dry mostly the staff were fantastic. We befriended several of the staff in the bars and restaurant etc and they were always pleased to see us to share our daily routines of what we got up to. The description of this hotel resort on the website is very very misleading.. the photographs are very doctored to show beautiful gastronomic experiences. Beautiful views, beautiful rooms, Towels made into swans on the bed with rose petals.. All very romantic... but not realistic or forthcoming ! All rooms are Beach facing it says.... which I suppose is true as long as you can see through walls or trees! A kids club operates in the resort. At 20.30pm each evening as you are eating dinner. the very popular Kids disco commences adjacent to the main reataurant with a fine rendition of "Baby Shark" at the highest volume ! The clientel appeared very diverse.. with many guests appearingly from Asian countries, From Europen countries. French and German were most prevelent but very few British. The beach is a positive... its well kept and very clean with ample sun loungers.. albeit a bit dirty Almost idealic. We could say .. but downfall is the continual noise of the speedboats operating trips up and down the beach all day. On an upside.. The customer relations manager worked tirelessly to help resolve the multiple.issues presented to him and we thank him for his efforts... we believe he is probably a very busy guy. ! But theses issues should not have been experienced at a resort of such high caliber as marketed. 4 star it says... doubtful! a 1-2 star at best !

The service was good and so was the activities provided by the hotel. However, I had a really bad experience with the room, such as empty mini bar, no working phone and TV as well as defective power outlets with at time power surges. Despite several complaints made at the reception, very little was undertaken to resolve the matter during the course of our stay. Overall, a pleasant stay maybe if we had a better room, the rating would have been higher.

Unpleasant Experience at Aqualand Day Package I am writing to express my utmost disappointment with the recent day package experience I had at your establishment on 25/08/2023. I had chosen your package with the anticipation of enjoying a relaxing and satisfying day, but unfortunately, my visit was marred by a series of disappointments. One of the key components of the package was the promised lunch, as clearly indicated in the promotional material. However, upon my arrival at the designated lunch hour, I was disheartened to find several items from the menu, including pizza, noodles, and crispy chicken, to be unavailable. I was further surprised to be served spaghetti instead of noodles, without any prior notification or explanation. This unexpected substitution not only deviated from what was advertised but also failed to meet the expectations set for the experience. Adding to the frustration, my son had his heart set on the crispy chicken that was promised by the chef. We were assured that the dish would be prepared for him, but despite the assurance, the crispy chicken never made its way to our table. This left my child in a state of disappointment and anticipation, only to be let down when the dish failed to materialize. Furthermore, I must mention the timing of the lunch service, which was yet another letdown. The sign at the entrance clearly stated that lunch would be served at 12:00 PM. However, the actual service did not commence until 12:50 PM, causing a considerable delay. Even at the delayed time, the food was not promptly prepared, which added to the overall dissatisfaction of the experience. It is my firm belief that a commitment made to customers, whether it pertains to menu items, services, or timing, should be upheld diligently. The failure to do so not only creates a sense of disillusionment but also reflects poorly on the professionalism and quality of service offered by your establishment. I sincerely hope that you recognize the gravity of the situation and take swift and appropriate action to address these issues. As a customer, I expected a higher standard of service and a more enjoyable experience at [Hotel Name]. I trust that you will take the necessary steps to rectify the situation and prevent such lapses from occurring in the future. I kindly request your prompt response detailing the measures you plan to implement to avoid such disappointments for your customers. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. Save your money and go to a different hotel. It has been a nightmare. This is a picture of a suite room. It’s in definite need of a good renovation. Run down hotel and service. They serve offbrand cheap alcohol and at par food for their all inclusive pricing.

I had a negative experience here. Poor customer service; I called several times about an important question and received no calls back, despite their promise to follow up. Except for us, tourists were given a welcome drink. Our room also lacked shampoo and body wash, which are essentials. The waiters at the bar, on the other hand, were wonderful.

VERY VERY VERY disappointing my checking time was 3pm but they only managed to get a room at 6pm. The room was in a complete mess had to wait an extra hour for it to be cleaned. The restaurants which were suppose to be available on the package I paid for where not due to weddings they were hosting, this is unacceptable. If you there to relax and rest forget it the wedding they host start in t he morning run throughout the night (24 hours) loud music non stop. There seems to be no regard for paying guests its extremely disappointing. The staff just seem generally very lazy.

The foods was good , but the room need some improvements like the lights cable come out very easily and there was a weird looking rectangular shape wooden mattress covered with dark textile to support one of the kids bed ( one has it and the other doesn’t ) I think the bed was previously broken and should get it fixed or changed . Security good , forgot to lock the safe and they had to wait for me to lock it and then they start cleaning the room. Overall good hotel , I recommended it . ⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s a pity, because in many respects this has the makings of a good hotel, particularly for families. The Aqualand is excellent, food and drink offering is ok and the beach is excellent. The French a la carte restaurant is actually very good. However it is badly let down by the quality and cleanliness of the rooms as well as the shambolic check in process. When we checked in it was heaving with new arrivals. No welcome drink and the process took about an hour. We were not allowed into 2 of our rooms until 5pm and the other until 6pm. Looking at other reviews, this seems typical. The room itself was not very clean, empty minibar, bed too small for frame and uncomfortable. The one full day we were there and housekeeping did not offer to clean our room until 6.30pm! Overall the hotel needs more cleaning staff and to sort out the arrivals process. I suspect there are too many guests for the infrastructure. Additionally hotel policies seem designed to increase congestion at reception as towel cards are not given at check in (you need to go back separately to reception for this) and basic things such as asking for late checkout they refuse to do over the phone and insist on a visit to reception in person. Overall, ok if you have young kids. But would definitely not recommend otherwise.

Was a great 10 days, have two more to go. Very good service they are so kind and respectful. The Children entertain could be a little earlier in my opinion. The evening entertainment was also great. Having the Fifa on every night since it started is also a nice touch.

After staying in belle mare it was so lovely as an animal lover to meet with all the stray beach dogs who were so gentle and just wanted to be loved. We came home and ended up sponsoring a beach dog to help protect it from any harm making sure it’s fed and vaccinated. Not all the hotels agree with this and want them gone. Would be so lovely if all hotels supported this on the same level for animal welfare

Being a loyal customer to martim, my recent experiences with their reservation team have left me thoroughly disappointed. The recurring issue of consistently receiving incorrect pricing information has been a major source of frustration. The lack of professionalism and politeness exhibited by the reservation team has been disheartening. Clear communication and accurate pricing are essential elements of customer service, and regrettably, these seem to be lacking in their interactions. In light of my recent experiences, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this hotel to others. It is disheartening to witness a decline in the quality of service, especially as a returning customer who has previously enjoyed positive interactions with the company. Overall, I hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and works towards improving the efficiency and professionalism of their reservation team to ensure a more positive experience for their customers. Until then, based on my recent encounters, I cannot recommend their services.

This hotel is more like a 2 star property. Staff are extremely unwelcoming! Rooms are really dirty...sand on the sheets...curtains and pillow covers have stains. Toothbrush holders are covered with dust. Limited food variety. Room was ready for 3pm. Only 1 room key for 2 adults. No towel cards were given at the time of check in. Had to go back to get it!! Only the beach is nice. Would not recommend at all.

I was there with a group and I have to say I'm shocked! In my own motherland, I felt my own kind being racist. For an all-inclusive package in the room I got only 2 0.5l water where the fridge was not turned on. It was a family room and the single bed was squinted. Service-absolute disappointed No welcoming drinks, Just because we are mauritian, we were told to wait until our check-in time to go to the hotel. Food wise, it was average. Entertainment was more like salsa class. Overall, complete waste of your money

Went to French restaurant beef filet very sinewy and chewy. Waiter didn't question why I left it. At end of meal senior waiter apologised after answering his questions about the meal. At present it seems very pretentious but not fulfilling the standards of service required to be a 4 star hotel

I recently stayed at the Hotel Maritim to celebrate my birthday, but unfortunately, they forgot about this special occasion. Despite this initial disappointment, there were some positive aspects to my stay. The staff at the hotel were friendly. However, I found that the hotel was not worth the money for a supposed 4-star rating. I had booked a junior suite but was disappointed to find that there was no bathrobe provided, and the mini fridge in the room contained only 2 bottles of water and a soft drink. When I inquired about this, I was told that it was the standard offering, although my friend in another room had more amenities. Additionally, I noticed that there was a missing amenities kit, which was a letdown. The food options at the hotel were limited, and the quality was not up to par. There wasn't a large variety to choose from, and the taste left much to be desired. Furthermore, the evening entertainment provided by the hotel was lackluster and quite boring. It didn't add much value to the overall experience. On a positive note, the spa facilities at the hotel were great and offered a relaxing experience. In summary, while the Hotel Maritim had some good aspects, such as friendly staff and a great spa, the overall experience fell short of expectations, especially considering the price and supposed star rating.

Having read many reviews recently giving the hotel very low ratings I did try to cancel but was too late and would not have received a refund. I am overall pleased I did not let it put me off. I wouldn't visit again but it was far from terrible also. Aqualand was a big plus for the kids. Pros The location and the beach is beautiful. Absolutely stunning. Some of the best beaches on the island and well placed for boat trips and watersports. Taxi service good. People are friendly, helpful and appeared genuinely wanting to help (except one very moody woman at the pool bar) Food is great, it's not UK restaurant standard but it's decent, tasty, home cooked food. There is a different theme each day but always plain pasta etc for the pickiest children. Drinks are free flowing. We we visited it was quiet, not over crowded at all. Cons We had read reviews of bed bugs and we did get bed bugs in our first room (and cockroach). I was bitten a lot and they were very itchy. They did change our room as soon as we informed them but there was no apology, no room upgrade, nothing done to make things better. The 2nd room had the hardest bed I have ever slept on akin to sleeping on a wooden board and I felt it was a downgade. They had tried to soften it with two duvets but still so hard. WiFi poor compared to other places locally. A minor issue but may be important to some.

Not lively, unpleasant but calm atmosphere. Most staffs not welcoming at all. Short live music, very disappointing. Mentioned that Glass bottom should be booked on same day as from 9am, we went at 9.30 am and they said it was fully booked. Cleaned room and TV was good. Limited food varieties for snacks and dinner. Not worthy for the price and 4 star hotel. Services can be improved.

During my second stay at the hotel, I encountered several issues. The room I was assigned to was dirty, and the open shower without any separation made the stay uncomfortable. Despite my repeated complaints, there was no improvement. It was only when I spoke to the duty manager, Ajay, that I felt some understanding of my concerns. He offered to change the room, but by then, the inconvenience had already affected my experience. It's worth noting that the staff seemed accommodating, but the issues stemmed from management decisions, such as restrictive rules. For instance, the hotel imposed impractical rules, such as not allowing drinks to be taken out of the bar area, and serving based on the number of people seated. These rules seemed unnecessary and added to the overall dissatisfaction. The only highlight of the hotel was the aqualand, which was enjoyable for kids. However, considering the issues I encountered and the available alternatives in Mauritius at a similar price point, I would recommend exploring other options.

Well no great choice of food for people who have allergies. The staff was great but the restaurant didn't cater for my food allergies. At tea time, I wasn't offered any gluten free dairy free option to choose from, if i didn't have my own snacks i would have stayed hungry. I even wrote emails to plan for my special meals. When the chef finally understood my allergies, i waited for quite long to eat.

Overall it has been a good experience. We had one night stay trip (family +kids). The staff were polite, attentive, friendly and eager to help. A good variety of food available, catering for both adult & kids palate. Activities also available so the stay isn't boring. Aqualand is fun & the staffs had precious advice for first timers. Very encouraging. The rooms, however, needs improvement. It is of adequate size but had a few minor problems that staff should pay attention to before checking in guests in those rooms. For a 4star hotel, those little things were minus points.

Over all we had a good time on Mauritius..the people are super friendly and the weather is fabulous. The Hotel How ever was a bit disappointing. We expected more from a 4* Maritim. Things that are great: staff even though often overwhelmed were over all nice and attentive. I believe there is a lack of training not a lack of willingness. Everything seams a bit run down and the rooms are in need of renovation. The cleanliness is a big problem! Special thanks to Sam from Customer relations and Sunny the assistant hotel manager you made our stay that much better. We understand that you can't give what isn't there.

Booked 2 nights at this for the Chinese New Year. for all hotels i have been well this one is particular. Mix Feelings. On our check-in there's were no reservation for us even though we booked online via Deals.mu weeks before. No welcoming cocktail which is not an issue for me but even smaller star hotels give this service. Reception crew needs some appropriate training. (It's a 4 star hotel) The Food in general is good. Staff are friendly. Good job entertainment for young one at the aquapark. Room though need some improvements. Friends and i took a total 8 Rooms. Size of rooms are perfect But One No Air con, Electricity. Tap broken. Bath Tub well... no comments. We are asked to keep the aircon on so that no humidity odour rose. Pillow Stinks Spa is good. There's ONE that bothered me is that there's NO APPROPRIATE SANITARY PRECAUTIONS. from staff to residents. After some times you become paranoid and wish to return home. I've been to other hotels but man this one needs a lot of attention.

There is a beach at the back of the hotel which provides some water sports too..Service and hospitality is really good... Food is good... Different cuisines are served every day.. Overall a good experience. 5 star for the staff who are very polite and always helpful.

There were no kettle in the room, only 2 cotton birds in the bathroom, asked for it at the reception, never got it. The bar near the biggest pool at the hotel was invaded with bees and an unpleasant odour. Got bitten on my hand by a bee which really hurt but they told me that the nurse has already got home since it was about 18hrs. Interesting water activities included in the all inclusive package. Some employees really do their best over there and i am very thankful. There were many power cuts during my stay. The animation was nice but please there is a big problem with the sound system and the audio jack which made really unpleasant noises. Please when there is the Indian buffet, add more choice for people who can not eat that much spice. Overall it was okay, but it could have been so much better.

I attended a team building event at the hotel. The staff were welcoming and the food were quite good. One point of improvement would be to review the organisation of the team building activities and have better time management to make sure we are able to make the most out of activities. Overall it was a good experience.

Visited Maritim Crystal around 2 years ago and service was excellent so I decided to visit again. I was however completely disappointed. We had to wait for the room but despite the wait, the room was not to our expectations. We took a room for 3 people and one bed was missing so we had to call and wait again. Hair dryer in the room did not work. There was a constant awful smell in the room. We had to wait ages for the drinks. Tables were not clean and we had to call the waiter on multiple occasions to get it cleaned. Poor variety of food. It was once a very good hotel but sadly, I will not be coming back again and will not recommend anyone to come to this hotel as well. Very bad and disappointed experience.

Rooms were very nice and clean. Location was perfect with a gorgeous beach. Unfortunately, the service sucks. I asked for ground-floor room for my 82 years old Aunty. The front desk gave us a room on the third floor. They ignored the request. The weekend I was there, lots and lots of Mauritian were also there. The food was catered for them only. Cheap food. No real beacon or quality hotel food. Definitely, it was not worth the price. Was disappointed.

A good property, with a large kids play area, water park in the premises, proximity to a great beach and lots of rooms. The only peeve I have (and it is a major one) is that we were there for 5 days/ 4 nights and our room did not get cleaned (serviced) on any day! This was despite leaving a notice on the door and informing the hotel reception multiple times.

Great hotel to stay with kids. Full of activities with the aqualand park to play, heated pool, poney ride, Dodo kids fun place. The room was nice and had everything but only felt old and used up. Good buffet and variety of food. The only issue is that if you've loved a drink served at the bar when you ordered it again it was never the same.

We went for a family vacation with two young kids and we had the best time ever. Food was good, service was perfect and top shelf in all respects. Only minor complaint is that Nescafe isn't real coffee, and shouldn't be served to guests.
