Location, service and friendliness from staff are the strength of this resort. I gave 4/5 because of the food. It’s repetitive and average It was difficult to rate this hotel because it’s graded 3* plus but the service is that of a 5* hotel. Unfortunately the average food spoils all the goodness of this wonderful place.

Warm welcoming by rexeption staff. The weather was good, meals delicious and not so different from our South African food. Entertainment was good, loved the fact that guests from all places were catered for in terms of music, loved Clive as well, how he made each guest feel special. Will not mind to go back there again!

Very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed our week's stay in Mauritius πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ί . We had the full board so drinks were available to 11am to 11pm. Food was awesome. Top chef The beach is a walk away from the hotel and so clean and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place to someone wanting to experience this part of Mauritius. Every night was a different theme with music and entertainment. πŸ’ƒ πŸ•Ί

My first time traveling overseas and what an excellent experience! Manager named Dennis is incredible ! They offer the most amazing warm welcome. Amazing food and snacks. We had an all inclusive package and boy oh boy would I recommend Veranda Palmar Hotel to anyone ! The most amazing vibe was set every evening and the staff is so polite and helpful! Definitely a place to call home away from home. They definitely set the bar high for our next vacation and expectation for other hotels. I loved the water sports that they offer ! Beach view is stunning and the beach volleyball nearly every afternoon was so much fun. The staff were so friendly and played along with the games they put out for their guests. Worth it all the way !

We, family of 4, had a fantastic time, staff was great, always friendly, happy and ready to help where they could. Beach and facilities were great and we enjoyed every minute! Thanks Dennis, Maureen, Isabel and all the rest of the friendly Mauritian people for accomodating us and the kids, and making it a wonderful, pleasurable and memorable holiday. You are all missed.

We stayed at Veranda Palmar Hotel from 6th to 7th May 2023. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Guillaume, Kelly, Kashi and the rest of the Front Office team. They made us feel right at home and we couldn't have asked for a better check-in experience. Our sea view room was spacious and clean, with all the amenities we needed. The food though! We were pleasantly surprised! We've been to many hotels before, but the food at Veranda Palmar was one of the best we've ever had. The variety of food was more than satisfactory, and everything (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner) was incredibly delicious. We would like to congratulate Executive Chef Kumaren for his amazing work and also for his special attention to all his guests. The Entertainment team at Veranda Palmar Hotel was exceptional, and we were thoroughly entertained by the talented 'Trio Live' singers who performed a diverse repertoire of songs in English, French, and Creole. Their ability to tailor their performance to each table was particularly impressive, and we felt truly valued as guests. The DJ was perfect on Saturday night. A BIG 'THANK YOU' to Santosh for his special attention during our entire stay, and to Suren for his amazing cocktails. We only wish that more cocktails and mocktails were included in the All-Inclusive Package. Although the weather prevented us from enjoying the water activities, we still had an exceptional and unforgettable experience at Veranda Palmar Hotel. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, and we can't wait to come back again soon. Thank you to everyone at Veranda Palmar Hotel for making our stay so enjoyable!

The vibe of this hotel is awesome. It is rated as a 3-star hotel, I can understand why (some appliances would need an upgrade) but besides that I think this hotel is best when it comes to the value for money. The staff here is simply awesome. Please ask about Akchay at the main bar (Baracuda), he will serve you with a big smile always. Also, do not forget to play a volleyball game with Denis on the beach or sing along at Karaoke night. I saw some people not being pleased by the food. The variety is not great, but it always tasted very good and was well seasoned. There were also a lot of local food choices, which is a big plus. If you are in doubt about this hotel, please don't be. I had some questions myself, but this hotel exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it.

We had an absolutely fantastic time. Staff were friendly and so helpful. Atmosphere at resort was fantastic. Only issue we had was the food. No flavourful and repetitive food for lunch and dinner. We were not happy with the food at all. Otherwise everything else was lovely.

Good beach. Climb up the mountain is good for all levels of climbers. When we visited it was rainy and slippery, so didnot go to the top. View of ocean from top is good.

A beautiful place with special people. The staff were very helpful and they always ready to make every wish come true. I appreciate that so much. The beach was windy in front of the resort but if you walked a few meters on the right or on the left the wind would drop. And the sea was always good and quiet.

If you don’t have a hotel at this beach you have to go there to spend some hours there and sunbath...the best beach in Mauritius in my opinion. Very nice hotels but the beach is public and there is a big car park free to use.

A peaceful beautiful beach. Not crowded even if it's a public beach. I'd recommend it to people whom don't really like crowded places.

We had spent our new years at this wonderful resort and it was sooo beautiful. The food was not all to my like but i enjoyed it. The entertainment I didnt like because not much South African music is played to enjoy. Also the manager Sunny of the resort is extremely rude and not helpful at all. The staff and chefs however i will miss them. They were so kind and gentle. The fireworks was amazing.

Went there for our honeymoon, the rooms were clean staff was friendly, and the stay was great, and food was wonderful, however the hotel is a bit understaffed in peak times, at times we noticed that the beach bathrooms were signed off as cleaned up to 3 to 5 hours ahead of time but they were still dirty , And they though it will be a great idea to repaint the whole hotel during peak December holidays. You might have to wait an average of 15 to 20 minutes for your cocktail or beer. However i believe with a bit more effort from management it can be one of the best budget hotels on the island.

Overall a great experience, the hotel staff were nice, food and drinks were great. Beaches are well-managed, there is many things to do organized by the hotel (such as playing the sΓ©ga instruments). We were met by a cyclone at the last day of our vacation and the staff handed it perfectly, went out of their way to make sure we were okay. Special shoutout to people at the reception, waiters Yash, Yashi and Suren and of course DΓ©sirΓ©, the entertainer. I hope I will visit this place again soon!

Wonder welcome by staff. Beautiful view from room which was basic but clean and very nice. Food was lovely but the flies were everywhere. Suggest having dining indoor behind glass. Staff were very friendly except one young bar man looked very unhappy in his job. Only annoying thing was the frequent phone calls and requests to fill in forms and update on the hotels progress.

Most amazing resort! Absolutely fell in love with the place, the people and the culture. Thank you for such wonderful service, was lovely waking up to smiles every morning. Such fun activities and good food! Ritesh: the best waiter (so attentive, friendly & helpful), Yasveer: the best chef ever and Neha: the best Creole teacher and waitress. Absolutely adore the staff. Would definitely recommend to anyone and come back!!! Thank you!

The hotel decoration is absolutely gorgeous. Almost all the crew is super friendly and kind, execpt one or two. The beverages on the bar could be improved in quality and variety, the food at the restaurants is delicious, again expect one or two dishes. The watersports they advertise having is kind of deceive as they always use the tie as an excuse while you see other reserts doing the sports.

I experienced significant disappointment with the service during my recent stay. Our arrival at 14:00 was met with the realization that despite booking an all-inclusive package, we were denied access to certain dining areas. Exhausted from our journey from Albion, we had to wait a considerable amount of time to receive some snacks. When we inquired about this, the staff's responses were less than satisfactory, with replies such as "we don't know, madam." The shortage of staff was evident. Additionally, during breakfast, the coffee machine was out of order, and despite prior notification of my vegetarian dietary preferences, vegetarian food options were not provided. Furthermore, the television in our room was malfunctioning, and the variety of food on offer was unsatisfactory.

We stayed here as part of a trip around Mauritius and had such an amazing time. The staff were so welcoming from the moment we arrived and were always on hand to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The beach is one of the best on the island, the sands and coral are postcard level perfect. There's a great range of free water activities and the guys manning the water sports shack are always happy to help and make sure you have a great time. Would fully recommend staying here, the food, service, location, beach is all exceptional.

What a value for money package this hotel offers. The staff where incredibly helpful from Kelly at Reception to the waiters to the lady that cleaned out room Asha. The beach is wow. The all inclusive package food and drinks was okay but most things were free in the package. For excursions speak to Raj on the beach , Highly recommended. The hotel room was clean, comfy and pleasant. Thank you very much.

Lovely luxury holiday with great staff, kid friendly, lots of ocean activities, perfect temp water, nice pool. Only drawbacks were slow bar service, ants in rooms and bed, everything is very overpriced, and i got a tummy bug, possibly from food or coconuts.. But had a great time anyway. Thanks

We recently stayed at the Veranda Palmar Hotel and had an absolute fantastic experience. The rooms were clean and beautifully decorated, providing a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. What truly made our stay specials, however, was the outstanding service from the hotel staff. They were friendly, welcoming, and always went out of their way to ensure that we were well taken care of. Whether it was providing recommendations for local activities or simply offering a friendly smile, the staff made us feel right at home. The food menu was well thought out and offered a great variety of dishes to choose from. Each meal was expertly prepared and bursting with flavour, making every dining experience a true pleasure. Overall, I highly recommend the veranda Palmar Hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing vacation. The beautiful rooms, attentive staff, and delicious food made for an unforgettable experience. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so wonderful!

Quite a long beach with different areas and many shady trees. Popular with locals and tourists. The little red house delimits the public area from the Dinarobin Resort. But don't worry, as long as you stay on the beach you can walk all the way to the end of the beach.

Beautiful clean beach, we did snorkeling here in the shallow water, though it's rocky in shallow water but it's a safe beach, beach has many public facilities like washrooms, changing rooms, picnic spot, barbeque corner, ample parking space and a beautiful view of Le Morne mountain, sunset view from this beach is amazing

Today is the 9th day quarantine at Veranda Palmar beach resort. What can i say?? The staff are so attentive to any request and go extra mile to make you feel more than comfortable. Do you have special food request? Yes and it will be attended next 24 hours. Any room request is attended next few mins. What can you ask for more? Every alternate day, Customer service will call and ask for our well being and how can they improve. The foods since our arrival are just delicious and 2 options are offered daily. Thank you team Veranda Resort , just to mention some names Mr.Soobeer and other colleagues, the nurse Hasana for daily temp check. Keep it up...

Surprised as I am, I will miss my Quarantine days @ Veranda Palmar Beach Hotel. I came with full expectations of a boring quarantine, confined to my room. But this has been one of those memorable times! This place changed it completely for me. The staff had left no stone unturned to make this stay a pleasant and memorable one. Everything was smooth and systematic, right from the time we arrived from the airport, to the food service. The rooms were pre-allocated, everything that we would require for the next 14 days were already kept in our rooms. I was working during the weekdays, and I could not ask for a better work desk - view of the beach at a distance, chirping of sparrows around, blossoming bounganvilla near my veranda, and good wi-fi. The staff, including Sindy, the manager, chief cook, and the waitress Anusha were very sweet and always greeted me with a big smile. They regularly checked on to see if I was comfortable. And any need/concern was addressed within minutes. I required brighter lights to read and they had it fixed within an hour. I was in work-calls and couldn't answer calls from the staff, and they were quick to adjust. They even helped me get my luggage to my room (I was told not to expect that). And most importantly, the staff regularly checked in during this period. They made sure we felt cared for. The Zumba sessions, yoga session, live music evenings, live cooking and the weekend music,, crown of flowers strung by the staff, all of which we would enjoy from the veranda/balcony of our respective rooms, turned this quarantine stay into a holiday! Not a single gloomy day here. Meals were always delivered with a wide smile and eating it brought a bigger smile! It was delicious! There were 3 menu options to choose from for every lunch and dinner. The pastries and sweets were amazing. I am a non-vegetarian and thoroughly enjoyed the food. Tips to enjoy your quarantine: 1. Keep your self occupied. Work/study/read a book. Good time to catch up on those things that you have been postponing for long. 2. Wifi is good. Have regular video calls daily with friends and family. 3. Watch that funny movie/documentary again that had taken your wits off! 4. Exercise. Yes, I said it. Staying indoors with limited movement can make you feel restless. Spare an hour for Yoga in the morning or do simple workouts in your room. There are ample videos and blogs available. 5. Sleep, sleep and sleep.. Once you step out, you will be back to the mad-rushing world. 6. Solve puzzles, read book, call people - keep your brain active. 7. And chill - You will be here for 14 days. Just take that glass of cold coffee, sit in the sit-out chair, look at the peaceful beach, enjoy the beautiful scenic view and relaxxxx... Thank you Veranda Palmar!!

what can I say. Mauritius is beautiful. but this hotel is not that great. here there is an absolute distinction between locals and tourists. as a tourist you get the absolutely pared-down program. locals don't even get ice cream for dessert as a tourist. asked and the answer was only on special occasions. I was also denied a meal (I wanted to pay for it) at the Beachbar. the indian visitors were allowed to eat enough there and had all their wishes fulfilled. I can only confirm the previous comments. only locals get great service here. Never again this Hotel
