We had a brilliant blissful stay at this special hotel … the staff are fantastic and go out of their way to assist (baring one or two at breakfast that I then avoided). Love the folk at the kids/teenager club as they went out of their way to make the kids feel welcome. Food was brilliant, I personally preferred dining at the restaurants as opposed to the buffet. Loved the cocktails ! The rooms perhaps need some freshening and uplifting given the 5 star expectations but not bad at all. I wish we had stayed longer to take more advantage of the water sports and kids club, the beach is amazing ! Definitely recommend and will be going again !

The beaches are really nice, the room also is very good. Overall I would like to give the resort 5/5. However, I don’t like the service inside the resort 1-Power outage twice in 4 days. 2- Some of the hotel staff are really unprofessional specially in the restaurants. 3- You are allowed to use the iron in your room for 1 hour a day. 4- Get your cash in advance with you, they will charge you 500 RB to cash out.

The place is just beautiful. Its located on a long strip of sand beach with an unbeatable view. The rooms have a good size with large bathroom and balcony. The rooms are very clean and the bed is super comfortable. They have 5 restaurants on site from Italian to Chinese to Japanese and obviously the all the day dining with buffet. The food as good but not outstanding. The only thing the lack is the service. You have some individual waiters that a very attentive (like Elvis for example) but the rest just do their job not with pleasure. And that's what you can feel as a guest. We been there in August so maybe it was because of the season, not sure.

Just got home after 10 amazing days here. it is absolutely paradise. we haven't had to lift a finger the full time. Check in process was super easy and quick. we were greeted by a smiley team and straight away our cases were taken until we could get the key to our room. The only thing I would say is, they know when guests would be arriving, so a bit of forward thinking to have the room ready would have been nice. The room was ready earlier than expected though and shower facilities were provided until the room was ready so not all bad. The room was beautiful. We had a junior suite with sea view. it was very spacious and clean. the fridge was stocked with water, soft drinks, beer and snacks. The bed was huge and very comfy. The bathroom was amazing. The terrace was meters from the beach with an amazing view. The room was cleaned twice a day. The pools were fab, especially the adult only infinity pool which overlooked the Indian Ocean. Staff were very attentive, bringing drinks and food round the pool if we didn't want to go to the restaurants to eat at lunch time. The restaurants themselves were all together which was a good idea. We ate at the Italian, the Chinese, the Seafood and the buffet restaurants. All the food we ate was hot and tasty with lots of variety. We didn't eat at the Japanese. The waiting staff are amazing. Natalia and Anastasia especially. They remembered our room number and our drinks order everytime and we was always greeted with a smile and a check in on how our holiday was going. All the staff were like this but those two stood out. The lady who kept the pool toilets clean was called Sarah, she was super friendly and checked on how we were doing and how our holiday was going. lovely lady and a credit to the hotel. she made some lovely flower displays in the pool toilets. this was an above and beyond addition. The Shores Bar has a very relaxed chilled vibe to it and the bar staff were very attentive. we never went without a drink. I would recommend this place to everyone. the beach and the watersports are great also. I dont think I have missed anything. Thank you for an amazing 10 days

Very clean and a great service especially Oliver at the pool area. There is only one thing. We booked all inclusive and got charged for mini bar. This is not typical for a hotel in that class.

I liked our overall experience. My kids loved all the activities. I liked that there were a variety of activities for both kids and teens. I would recommend it for families. I did not like the quality of food though.

It's a big and beautiful hotel, but they have short of staff I guess. I can say that its not same as in the photos. Some renovation is required. We have stayed for 5 nights. The Staff was very helpful, the foods and drinks were delicious and delightful. Unfortunately poor hygiene in rooms.

I stayed here 12 years ago when it first opened and I couldn’t fault it, so wanted to treat my family to a stay here. We had a few issues on check-in, however, on hearing my complaints, the guest relations manager Dolores went above and beyond to ensure the rest of our stay was amazing. The service at this hotel is first rate! They really want you to have a great experience. Samia and Jenny at breakfast were particularly helpful and friendly. It has a great pool for kids and a lovely atmosphere. As well as a beautiful beach, which we loved spending time on. If you have any issues, just speak up and they’ll take care of everything, which is all you can ask of any hotel. Just be aware, there is no free water at dinner, which we were surprised about for a 5* hotel. But I guess we’re used to getting free tap water in Europe. That said, I’ll definitely be back, as we had a great time. And my nephews loved the golf buggies that took you around!

A bit gets lost in the interior and exterior finish, as well as website “design”, which is negligent in both design and information about the hotels wide array of activities. The choices of specific pieces of gym equipment has clearly been picked out by someone who has never been in one. The "Gym Manager" displays a lack of empathy and excessive insistence, resembling more closely the strict demeanor of a German police officer in the early 1940s. Hotel staff that stood out, and is clearly overqualified for their positions: Pretty - Working in housekeeping has a very warm and gentle personality. Arvin - A young waiter working in the resorts “Seafood” restaurant “Tides”. He has great potential and a bright future ahead of him!

This was the first time for us in Mauritius and will definitely not be the last. The staff at the hotel are wonderfully friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Huge shout out to the tall waiter in Chopsticks (sorry didn’t get his name). He was excellent and whenever he saw us about would always come over to chat and give us information about the hotel and island. The food in all restaurants was great. Rooms were lovely and clean. We made the most of the water sports and even got to see a turtle. Loved watching the fishermen bringing their catch in on Fridays. Thank you to all the staff for looking after us.

If you are lucky enough to encounter this stunning lady, you will be wowed by her personal in room touches 😊 Your food was incredible! There was so much variety across 4 restaurants and 2 bars. Just a little request, please have the mosaics of your pool floor checked for displacement to the shallow right side by the palm trees. Two members of our party cut their feet luckily we had first aid kits with us and we also did a wound dressing at the clinic.

Our second time staying at Long Beach, this time with our 6 month old baby. Could not be any happier with the level of service provided by everyone at the resort and the facilities available to us. Want to especially thank Kumar in the shores bar, Raj at Chopsticks. Christian the resort manager also went out of his way to make our stay so special with our baby. I would recommend to anyone hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday!

We have been staying at the hotel for quite some time these last 10 yrs. It's a great hotel! Loved the food at Chopstick Restaurant💕. However, we see a deterioration in service at the lower end. You have to call for attention - be it at restaurants, bar, reception. Fortunately, the middle mgt or supervisors try to step in to cover any mistake but it's seems the lower level are not as dedicated as a few yrs back. Also lack of variety in veg cuisine. Especially at breakfast.

It's a beautiful resort and quite big as well so good to walk around. I love that property had five restaurants and a bar so plenty of option. It's a family-friendly resort, so our little one had a good time. Staff is accommodating and takes care of guest needs too. They have a beautiful private beach, excellent massages and kids club on site is a bonus. Overall I would highly recommend this resort.

Had an amazing time at long beach hotel for their Bollywood Summer Festival Event. The food at Le Marche was heavenly. Special mention to Mr Joy Andy Moustache the guest relation manager who went the extra mile at resolving some inconveniences and made our stay enjoyable. Chef Sunny at Chopsticks was very welcoming too and the food was exquisite. Not to forget Mr Rouben from lost and found who kindly arranged for items that we left behind to be collected. Looking forward to staying at Long Beach Hotel again.

Excellent customer service and the hotel was beautiful and clean. However, they have a big dog problem, with wild dogs frequently found in the restaurants and near the pool. Staff need to address this ASAP. Would have been a 5 star if it wasn’t for the dog situation.

We arrived at Long Beach Hotel for our long awaited Holiday to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary . The Hotel was beautiful as were the surroundings and gardens with stunning views . We had a beautiful room with a garden view . We have had an amazing time , the food was amazing , we ate in every restaurant Chinese, Italian and Japanese . The staff at this resort are amazing and cannot do enough for you . Mr Davesh was wonderful . I’m sure we will visit again in the near future . Great beach and pool area. Rooms are spacious and plenty of storage space. Did not like that you could not have privacy in the bathroom as the rooms were open plan leading into the bathroom. We booked half board. Dinner at Tides restaurant was delicious and fresh. Chopsticks was also top quality. There are 5 restaurants. One is buffet, the other 4 are Italian, Seafood, Chinese and Japanese. The last 4 restaurants have to be booked in advance so unfortunately we got there on our first night which was supposed to be my birthday celebration and we were unable to spend my birthday at one of those and were forced to eat at the buffet dinner which was a big disappointment. There was confusion about the restaurants we were told to book 24 hours in advance and then the next night were told it was 48 hours which was terrible because we only had booked 3 nights at the resort. The manager did try and resolve this and did their best to try and make up for it, unfortunately it was a bit too little too late. We did not find the same warmth from the people and friendly service here as we did at our previous hotel we stayed at. Facilities were great here but please improve on service.

We stayed on one of the beach access junior suites, with our 2 kids (4yr and 2,5yr old) the suite was clean, nice and super cool! The kids enjoyed the resort and all the activities thoroughly, we barely used the kids club. The staff was incredibly kind and patient with everyone and that was amazing! The pools are awesome, the shops had everything we needed, inflatables, sun creams, snorkels etc! And The food was AMAZING! We enjoyed our stay so much, thanks so much for having us and for being incredible hosts

We stayed here for 8 nights. All I can say is the staff was excellent. Too many to mention but Tony the manager did everything he could to make it the best stay in a hotel and we’ve travelled the world. They all made an effort to remember our names and was very respectful. There was a gent with high socks, sunglasses that was very cool, I told him I needed sunglasses and the next day he gifted me a pair and even refused to take money. What an absolutely wonderful place and we promise to be back x

Lovely hotel in an idyllic location with lots of facilities. Good food options but difficult to book restaurants with less than 5 days notice. The hotel was very busy when we visited and seemed to be struggling with maintaining a consistent level of service especially when dealing with larger parties. Having said that, all staff were friendly and helpful, especially the sports team who went the extra mile to make younger guests feel included.

Beautiful hotel, the staff make it extra special; friendly, attentive and make you feel like royalty. The rooms are beautiful however , very opened planned so people in bathrooms/toilets are visible from the bedroom. The food is also amazing, found little information on when certain resturants weren't open but wasn't a big deal.

My boyfriend and I have been to the Long beach hotel for 2 weeks. The place was amazing, the beach is clean and the sea is clear and warm. It has got an amazing infinity pool and a bigger pool for kids. The place we stayed was nearby the beach. It had a nice shower and a nice balcony. Food was amazing. The buffet was the best option as you could eat what you wanted. They have Japanese, Chinese and Italian restaurants too. Unfortunately, cocktails were tasteless weak and overpriced. Although, the major thing that will not make me want to go back there ever is the service. To order your food or to get a simple coffee in the morning, you would have to wait at least 20 minutes. Staff was so slow and did not communicate properly. Our last night, while settling the final bill, we noticed we had been overcharged. We had been charged for somebody else’s dinner and after 35 minutes waiting in the lounge, we finally had our money back. The day after we were also offered to have lunch at one of their restaurants for half price. We had arranged lunch somewhere else BUT we decided to accept the kind offer. When we sat, we made sure they all knew about the offer and they all nodded. When the bill arrived at the table, it was full price. Instead of graciously resolving the mistake, we are not re told of multiple occasion that we would have to pay full price before finally being resolved 2 hours later by a senior member of staff. This was a very embarrassing incident that took up our remaining hours of our holiday and left a sour taste in the mouth. Service apart, overall, it was a great experience. (I would have given 5 star for the experience and the food and 2 for the service if it could have been separated).

Day pass trip including lunch. Swimming pool was freezing. Too cold for a toddler. Difficult to order drinks from the lounger as hardly any staff walking around to take orders. Couldn't start a tab even if I left my card behind the bar which is unbelievable in 21st century! Lunch was good. Service super slow. Best thing is the location. Better day passes at other hotels in the area available.

From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by the hospitality and professionalism of the staff. The whole personnel, whether it's from the restaurant, or hotel premises were so welcoming. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Our stay would not have been complete if not for the sun kids club and their staff. All the ladies there were so patient and friendly with the kids. The club was well equipped for different age groups. The hotel room was just perfect, spacious, beautiful with breathtaking views. Myself and my two daughters had a fabulous time at Long Beach. A beautiful resort with lovely, helpful staff who did everything they could to make it a wonderful and memorable stay. Disadvantage: the sunbeds and the place around the pool and on the beach are NOT enough for hotel guests and you have to get up early in the morning to have a sunbed, this is unacceptable!

We stayed in Long beach for the second time already. I love the atmosphere of this place. Lots of activities, beautiful beach and snorkeling nearby. Beautiful design of hotel. Rooms are cozy but I was there 3 years ago and last week and you could feel the difference that the room feels older and more used than before. I really appreciate that there is a clinic. We could visit a doctor with our 2 years old. Food selection is great also there is gluten free section for breakfast. With a cake, pancakes and bread. We were happy to meet manager Rama in the restaurant. Remember him from 3 years ago and once again he created very welcoming atmosphere and made us always feel special.

We went here for our honeymoon for the first week of our stay in Mauritius and we were amazingly impressed how this hotel is beautiful, new and so organized. Everything was perfect, from our room to the staff that was always smiling and we never felt like just a number; the service was very personalized. They have a few amazing restaurants to choose from and the buffet in Le Marche was AMAZING! After 1 week we went to the north side to an even more expensive hotel but it couldn’t compare with Long Beach!

However, I must mention a couple of negatives that slightly impacted my experience. The room I stayed in had a noticeable damp and moist smell, which was somewhat unpleasant. The issue seemed to stem from poor ventilation or moisture control within the room. Additionally, the bed sheets also had a similar damp smell, which was not very pleasant to sleep on. These issues could have been addressed to provide a more comfortable and inviting ambiance. Despite these room-related drawbacks, the overall experience at Long Beach Hotel in Mauritius was largely positive. The friendly staff, excellent service, stunning infinity pool, and gorgeous beach made it a memorable destination. The delicious food further added to the overall appeal of the hotel. However, it would be advisable for the hotel management to address the issues of dampness and moisture in the rooms to ensure a more enjoyable stay for future guests.

We went there for my birthday last year, we had a very good experience! The room was very nice, the buffet was excellent and had a very good variety of delicious dishes and the staff were very kind. However, I think that the hotel needs a little renovation as I noticed cracks here and there but overall we really liked the hotel and yes, I definitely recommend it ☺!

These guys were responsible for the best family holiday we've ever had. The rooms are fine/spacious/clean. Good beach area/breakfasts/gym/amenities, etc, but the main value add comes from the little extra effort from the staff, which does go a long way when you're travelling with little kids. For example, they have a children's football pitch, and my son who loves football, had no ball to play with. The hotel had a brand new football ball waiting for him on our bed the day after we said he had no ball to play with. The kid's club is super attentive to all the little details, with varied activties, and on most days when I came to pick up our kids they didn't want to leave. This attention to detail extended to other aspects of their service. The next morning my son woke up crying that he still wanted to be in Mauritius, because this hotel had ensured that we'd had such a great holiday.

Overall it was an unforgettable experience for me. However, the beach toweling system in long beach should be improved...which you have to use your towel card to change for a towel. And walk all the way back to the counter again to change back for the towel card.

We enjoyed our vacation at long beach! The staff are really friendly and helpful. The resort is very clean. food is good and they have a big variety at the buffet. The restaurants don’t have many options but overall the food is good. Sapori is the best restaurant and the quantity is great. The beach is kinda rocky. Thanks to the staff that made our experience wonderful! Definitely gonna visit long beach again in the future.

Best hotel we've ever been, great family holidays, great people, great facilities, great service! Kids club: Excellent! Our 3 and 7 years old would skip desert to go to the club. Many activities, well organized, excellent professionals. All inclusive: Consider that not everything on the menus is included but I would say 80% is included at zero cost and it is very clear on the menus what is the cost if not included.. We had all the drinks, snacks, meals we wanted, and not a single issue or unexpected bill. Service: From the reception, to the restaurants, bars, the cleaning staff, maintenance, security. everyone super friendly, respectful and professional. Very grateful for their dedication.

Really nice experience! We did a one night stay and got the time to do a lot of activities, except for water activities as it was really windy. All the staff at the hotel were really polite and welcoming. No discrimination made between the locals and the tourists! Food was really nice and the room really spacious and clean! Overall very good experience and will definitely come again!

We booked Long Beach as a family group of 8 and we had a fantastic 2 week holiday in the last half of August. We all agreed that our trip was so memorable because of the excellent service and friendly staff that looked after us. Going all inclusive was definitely good value as we made use of all the facilities, right down to the hot pancakes every afternoon near the pool. We enjoyed tennis, kayaking and parasailing in the bay. Loved the breakfasts and the fresh French bread every morning. The spa is top notch. The gardeners really work hard to keep the grounds nice and there’s loads of wildlife to see right in the resort. We would definitely return for another stay. Thanks guys!

Long Beach Resort in Mauritius was definitely worth it. The staff members were welcoming and friendly. Kevin made himself available and made us feel welcomed. The beach was absolutely beautiful, the food was fantastic. I would definitely go back to stay again.

Would I recommend long beach hotel for a solo black woman traveller, No. long beach is a modern hotel, beautiful ambiance, and the location is spot on. My experience as a single black woman travelling solo was disappointing. I was an all inclusive client. Upon arrival I was just handed the keys to my room, and nothing explained to me. Following day when I went to reception I noticed them and welcoming guests and giving them brochures and explaining to them detailed information about the hotel. I had to dig for that information from the staff myself, and even so, I got a sentence response out of them. They go all the way to make couples and family stay memorable, like put flowers on their tables, those nice beautiful gestures. For myself, a black solo traveller, well…overlooked and unnoticed is an understatement. They have a variety of restaurants and cuisines, chopsticks stood out for me. I booked for a floating breakfast three times in advance, and confirmed and always cancelled by their staff the following day, ultimately I didn’t have it since I was only there for a week. I love Mauritius as a relaxing spot but long beach, not really. The thought that I paid an all inclusive package and was treated like me a charity case really broke my heart. I didn’t get the value of my money. If you a black and travelling solo, do expect a different treatment and service, lower class service. Long beach ruined my first ever solo travel by withholding information from me that could have made my stay even more pleasant and discriminatory service.

We had booked 3 suites here Since we arrived much earlier than check in time we were offered a complimentary breakfast The rooms were very clean and the staff very helpful at all times There are 5 restaurants with very good food We spent a week here in the first week of September and the weather was amazing. The week passed by too soon for our grandchildren and they didn't want to leave the place Besides paragliding snorkeling banana boat ride etc they have a big kids room for toddlers Great resort and holiday

Excellent resort and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I would give them an easy 5 stars was it not for the exorbitant drinks prices. Prepare yourself to pay 5 times the normal price for drinks (alcoholic or non alcoholic) no matter what country you come from. The food is excellent, the location is fantastic and so is the atmosphere at the resort, every night. Well worth the holiday if you can just get past those drinks prices.

Love this hotel. Ideal location on the Island, not too windy and it's right on the beach with lots of sun loungers and plenty of room for everyone around the pool and on the beaches. The hotel is very clean and staff friendly and professional, nothing is too much trouble. The spa staff are just brilliant, they treat you as if you are their only client and a 50 min massage was so good I had to have another. The breakfast selection is vast, you really won't go hungry, try the chicken sausages, they are better than you think. Ask for a custom cocktail at Tides bar. Try out the pool next to the gym it's empty most of the time. And remember to enjoy yourselves.

It was one of the best hotels I have stayed at. It caters for everyone in the family.We went 2 weeks ago and the ambiance, food, activities, room and staff were amazing. The all inclusive package was good value.Thank you for this special experience.

tldr: Considering the hotel's 5-star rating and the high price paid, I expected nothing short of excellence. However, compared to some other 5-star resorts on the island, this one falls short. LOCATION; Gorgeous location, beautiful white sandy beach. Turquoise water. Be careful when swimming, there are corals. Also, it can get very windy on the east coast. ROOM; Cosy. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Nice view. However, it was not as luxurious as expected. The hair conditioner smelled really bad, it seemed expired. DINING; The food at the buffet was good but the choices were limited. I had a very bad experience at the main restaurant. At breakfast, on all 3 days, I had to look for someone to ask for tea or coffee. The dirty plates were not removed promptly. At one point, we just placed them on the empty table next to us. My napkin was taken mid meal while I was not at my seat, there were no spoons for deserts. Some waiters were arguing about something loudly. PRICE; The extras were very expensive. From the drinks, to water activities (Rs3000 for 10 mins of towable inflatable tube). No exceptions for locals. STAFF; Some of the staff members were very friendly – Special shoutout to Mr Sashi who took us on a bike tour to Flacq market, and to the friendly manager/waiters at Shores and Tides. Other staff members were not particularly welcoming, and one was outright unpleasant. There was also a lack of promptness when reception was called (waited 40+ mins for an iron and for water). On 2 occasions, I could not reach anyone.

I had a delightful experience at this hotel. The service was outstanding, and the staff, particularly accommodating with kids. The kids really loved the pool. Special thanks to the House keeping team namely, Mr Indiren, Mrs Priscilla and team. They went above and beyond, swiftly cleaning up a tea bag mishap by my little one and even providing fresh towels. A family-friendly gem.
