👍 This is a B&B, not a hotel. There are a couple things you'll want to bring, such as towels and soap and other toiletries. Although I don't know what else you'd expect from a place this cheap. Imho this is the worst place ever for stay. They didn’t clean the room, for 10 days we have every day the same brekfast (ONE egg, jam, one banana and bagel), we couldn’t pay by CC (on booking you have information that You can pay by card). Of course we bought own food because nobody won’t accept brekfast like that. On our floor was kitchen- empty, no plates, fridge, only the furniture. All the time owner walking and tell us „close the door, etc. do that don’t do that). We ask for trip around south part of the Island and the price was double comparef to travel agency. owner of that horrible place offer price double like in travel agency. Not recomended for nobody!

Needed better water pressure in shower and kitchen supplies, but otherwise clean and friendly service. Shirley is a gem. Quiet and comfortable.

There is not 3 star hotel. Only guesthouse. But staffers golden hearts and smiles, over the 5 stars.

The printed Expedia voucher says MUR400 for shuttle service, but was actually charged MUR500. Also, the dinner was expensive. Spider webs in the shower when we checked in. Dogs bark non-stop just downstairs throughout the night. Breakfast every single morning was greasy eggs, and toast! Wifi only at the living room, which was weak. As I stayed on the other side of the guesthouse, I had to climb down and up the other stairs (so troublesome) The problem don't lie with the employees though. Vishnu was extremely hospitable and helpful. I have to compliment both Mala and Vishnu since boss checks online reviews. This review is meant for the boss, Gobin to reflect on himself. As a plus point, the location is good.

This is a B&B, not a hotel. There are a couple things you'll want to bring, such as towels and soap and other toiletries. Although I don't know what else you'd expect from a place this cheap. I saw no bedbugs or fleas, I did get some random insect bites but I've had enough bedbug and flea bites to know that these weren't that. AC is a bit weak - if you're coming in the summer months (especially Dec to Feb), this is actually important. The breakfast is the exact same every day, but it's also free, so nothing to complain about there. The location is pretty excellent. It's super close to the airport, and I saw literally everything I wanted to see in Mahebourg on foot. It's also an 8 minute walk from the bus terminal, from which you can go to the airport or major cities like Curepipe or Port Louis. So basically, a three star review. I'm adding another star because the hosts basically act like they're your parents and are very helpful and kind. If you have a lot of disposable income and you're here for over a week, go elsewhere. Otherwise, I thought the guest house was more than adequate.

The Guesthouse is close to the airport, so might be acceptable if you need to stay one night in the area. If you decide to sleep here, please bring down your expectations. The hosts are very friendly, but the rooms are not particularly neat. Linen was synthetic, hence it was very hot to cover yourself with it. We had to sleep on top of all the sheets. There is airco in the room, but we were advised not to use it, as it “gets too cold”. Shower and toilet are built in the room; there is no warm water. On the other hand, hosts were kind to let us in even though the plane was late and we came past latest check-in time. Taxi from the airport to Bamboo costed 600 rupee (midnight Sat to Sun), “taxi” back offered by the owner was 500 rupee. We probably overpaid quite a bit both times. Price-quality relation is okay I guess - based on my experience in Mauritius. Not comparable with European quality though

Very nice couple that run the guesthouse. Very helpful, gave good suggestions on what to do and how to get around. Nice clean house near the bus terminal and market.

Nice and helpful staff. They offered me dinner even though it is not on offer, and it's a very sweet price.

2009 - I left the next morning but paid them for the days I would have stayed.. You don't have to lower your expectations. You need to forget them.

Don't expect your typical hotel. All you got is a service flat. You must come with your own toiletries, towels and the other typical stuff hotels gives you. The manager is quiet ok until you begin to complain about their inadequacies i.e slow or no wify connection, AC going off at 10am to come back on at 4pm local time, unavailability of hot water sometimes or a guest who wont stop disturbing you with their own activities.... if you can cope with any of these, then its a nice place to be. But I will personally recommend it for a day or two till you get your footings and are able move on.... cheers

Hi This is my ist visit to Maurituis. Nice place. Nice room. Everything well and safe. Near by airport. I would like to give a five star Mark to Mala Madam and her husband Bishnu. They are very nice person. Very helpful. Is there anything will I miss is all about Mala madam food. I had lunch and dinner.. Its awesome .. Her food can beat a five star hotel. Thanks Madam.
