I was trying to make contact with my father as he was a patient at this hospital. I am in England. I tried to find out which ward he was in or to see if they can connect me to the correct ward so I could speak with him as his mobile phone was switched off. Instead of helping me, they put they disconnected the phone. Now I cannot get hold of my father to know if he is being discharged or not! I am very angry!

Good service, doctors are patient and actually take time to listen to your health issues before suggesting any treatment or prescribing medicines. You can get lost easily within the facility with lack of instructions thus wasting a lot of time. The lady at the registration desk is not helpful at all. She's just lazy!

Worse hospital- DO NOT GO THERE. I have lost 3 family members at this hospital due to negligence. The doctors there do not test you properly and give you any type of medication. My grandmother had a fall recently and was brought to this hospital. Her nose was swollen and lip was cut. The doctors there read her ECG and confirmed that she had a mild heart attack, but they completely ignored that fact that she had fallen and possibly had a head injury. They did not do a CT Scan and proceeded to order an Angioplasty and give her blood thinners. Unfortunately she already had slow bleeding in her brain and the blood thinners just accelarated the bleeding. She passed away 2 days later. She was completely fine the week before that. The neurosurgeon there just wanted to operate on her even though she could collapse at any time during the surgery. If you care for your loved ones, do not bring them there.

Everyone who visit bring your patience with you because man oh man you'll need it. Let's go through them 1. Parking is a genuine issue too many reserved parking .Sugar can fields and dirt tracks available for general public. 2. Security guards very low standards ,the company who has been awarded this contract should look into investing in refresher courses on etiquette and good mannners ,positive approach on dealing with issues and keep their ego at home. Ask them to learn at least the basic laws on what they are entitled to do under the law of Mauritius not invent new ones or apply hospital regulation as law. 3. Staffs discussing their personal business with their colleagues or (on their phones) whilst the general public who came to seek for help or appointment has to just listen by default. Talking down to people ,wow this is just what they exel on .When they were appointed were told that this is a requirement because its seem to be the norm. 4. DOCTORS ..sorry gods with massive ego's you can't challenge them because the are always right .I bet if you publish an audit and public feedbacks on each doctors you'd be surprised on how very few are really worthy ones . 5.Communication between department a pure disaster and they will even agree to it but nothing or no one seems to bring a positive change. 6.cleanliness by the time one lady finish to broom and mop a corridor her shift is over .Invest on cleaning machines rather for a better outcome. I really didn't want to be negative but please what I wrote and tell which ones are wrong.

Had to consult 3 doctors and did not get a realistic feedback on my illness. They made me do several tests. Better go to clinic if you can afford. No customer service

Top rate heart surgery. It's well known in the Indian ocean. Surgery carried out by highly qualified doctors. World class complicated surgery. This place has a lot of highly qualified specialists. Free for locals.

Worst hospital experience of my life. Went there twice as a patient and once as a visitor and it's safe to say, I won't be going back. The nurses and doctors treat patients like 5-year old children and I even saw one doctor google medicine! You go in, self-diagnose and they prescribe whichever medicine they want. It's Inshallah and vibes. Wouldn't recommend.

Worst hospital ever. They mistreat patients like animals. And they get angry at you for asking good intensive care. But this hospital is the worst. I wouldn't advise anyone to go there.

I went with a flu symptoms. The lady in the front with wig asked me to go to triage instead of giving me a card. Then the triage sent me to an empty room. After waiting a while I came out. The guy next to the lady who was supposed to hand me a card did my covid test whilst the lady started doing my card. She put another person NIC number in my card. She ignored me and crossed my NIC. The guy whose NIC she put my card also alerted her that she put the wrong one. I asked her to put my correct one and she showed her attitude with no eye contact. She did not put my NIC number still. I felt if the beginning is like this what will be like inside. She should have only said sorry and put the right one. But inside I was quickly checked with blood pressure and temperature. Then the doctor was helpful too.
