Date of visit: early November 2021. Beautiful beach with crystal clear water. There is a sign warning of strong currents so best to stay near the shore if swimming. It seemed very safe when I was there. Came here on a Mauritian public holiday so it was fairly busy, but less crowed than Blue Bay. There are toilet facilities, ice cream van, and another couple of food stalls near the car park. Parking is free.

Very dependant of weather conditions, cause its a windy beach. For bathing, there are specific locations for the rocks and corals. On a sunny day, its ideal for relaxing and conducting activities.

Hiiden GEM. Perfect beach with white sand, waves, breeze, turquise waters and (as we've been there) .... nobody - over 1 km long beach without people :-). Great views and tranquility

La Cambuse Public Beach is a beautiful and serene beach located in the southern part of Mauritius. The beach is known for its crystal clear waters and pristine white sand, making it an ideal spot for swimming and sunbathing. The beach is surrounded by lush greenery and offers stunning views of the Indian Ocean. The beach is relatively secluded and peaceful, with fewer crowds compared to other popular beaches in Mauritius. It's a great spot to relax and unwind, away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The water is calm and shallow, making it safe for children to swim and play. There are several activities available at La Cambuse Public Beach, including snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding. The beach is also a popular spot for picnics and barbeques, with several shaded areas and picnic tables available. Overall, La Cambuse Public Beach is a must-visit destination for those looking for a peaceful and picturesque beach experience in Mauritius.

La Cambuse Public Beach is a hidden gem located on the southeast coast of Mauritius. This beautiful beach is known for its stunning natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and recreation. The beach is relatively isolated, which makes it a perfect spot for a quiet and relaxing day in the sun. The white sand stretches out for a mile, providing ample space for sunbathing, picnics, and other beach activities. The crystal-clear water is perfect for swimming, and there is an array of marine life to discover while snorkeling. It is important to note that the beach can be quite windy, so it's best to come prepared with a beach umbrella or windbreaker. La Cambuse Public Beach is not equipped with amenities such as food and drink vendors or showers. Therefore, visitors need to come prepared with everything they need for the day, including plenty of water and snacks. Overall, I highly recommend visiting La Cambuse Public Beach for those looking to enjoy a peaceful and beautiful beach day in Mauritius. Its natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere make it an ideal destination for anyone seeking a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Hey guys, this is definitely a very nice public beach you should visit. It is beautiful and offers a quiet spot to spend the day with friends and family. There are some shade under the trees and there are also some kiosk around with concrete bench and tables. Parking spaces are available plentiful even for buses. Whilst you are there you can try the coconut water from a coconut seller who is present most of the time. It is also a perfect spot for a swim.

Very nice Public Beach, not so much crowded. Location and views are really fantastic. Clean beach, near to the airport. Greenery area. Rocks for take good pictures. But be careful it's also dangerous beach because no safety security near to the beach. Swim on your risk. Have seen in the given picks by me.

Useless for snorkelling or swimming in April - too much waves although the water temperature is nice.

Nice beach to relax. It is not too crowded. There are some food stalls on the beach. You can have some quick food and drinks. Swimming is not recommended as it is quite rocky and heavy waves.⁸

Peaceful and crowd-free beach with lots of parking, public toilet and plenty of sand. National Coast Guard officers also ensure that people are following sanitary measures.

Super amazing beach and the water is even better there for swimming and snorkeling. If you love snorkeling but are a bit afraid of going too deep, La Cambuse is the place to go.

Visited with the rented car several beaches. This one is in my opinion the best. Not so much coralls, shells, stones. Clear water.

One of the best beaches in Mauritius. Very clean beach. Long beach area. Parking facility is there. Many resorts are there in this beach side.

Atmosphere: Worth a vist during week days. Very clam and isolated beach with very few people around. Only the sea and birds can be heard. No traffic and commercial building making an eyesore. One of the very few public beaches that remains natural and nature friendly. Hope it continues to be like this with no concrete and other man made amenities implemented! Parking: large number of parking available nearby.. Food: Only one stand selling food stuff and it's very good as the palce remains authentic with no commercial activities making it artificial and business like. Hope it keep the natural and wild isolated atmosphere.

Der perfekte Strand auf Mauritius, das Wasser ist der Traum - dort abbiegen wo das Schild zum Hotel zeigt, dann kommt ein Schild zu public beach.

Nestled along the coastline, the beach emerged as a serene haven, particularly enchanting in the early hours of the morning. As dawn broke, the horizon blushed with hues of orange and pink, casting a warm glow over the tranquil waters. The soft, rhythmic lapping of the waves against the shore created a symphony of natural sounds, enhancing the beach's peaceful atmosphere. This idyllic setting was not just a feast for the eyes but also a sanctuary for wildlife. One morning, as the sun's rays gently kissed the sea, we witnessed an extraordinary sight. A turtle, majestic and graceful, swam near the water's edge. Its movements were slow and deliberate, a beautiful display of nature's simplicity and elegance. Further away, beyond the protective barrier of the reef, another marvel of nature unfolded. Whales, those gentle giants of the sea, made their presence known. Their massive bodies gracefully breached the ocean's surface, sending sprays of water skyward. It was a breathtaking spectacle, a rare opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat. Amidst these natural wonders, one should be mindful of the beach's powerful stream. Its currents, often underestimated, required strength and caution to navigate. The stream's force was a reminder of nature's untamed power, coexisting with the peaceful beauty of the beach. This unique combination of serenity and strength made the beach a truly remarkable place, offering both visual splendor and a deep connection with the natural world.

It's a nice beach bay where you can relax! There are public toilets and a snack bar which I can really recommend, too! The current can be very strong but there are nice waves!

For the first time you will encounter problems due to the lack of direction signs but once you go there you will regret nothing. Nice beach with awesome views and you could see aeroplanes flying right above you. However watch out for your feet.

Best describe as a family fun beach a few minutes away from the airport. Lavish golden sandy beach, with perpetual ocean current driving into the shoreline.Truly breathtaking if one ventures along .A few more surprises might come you way if you take your time to look far beyond the reefs.

👍 A great beach to visit, clear and warm waters all around. And it’s quite quiet for most of the day. The only downside is the only parking is on the side of the road, and the beach access is a bit difficult to find.
