A white sand public beach just next to the coastal main road. Lots of trees to offer shade on the beach as well as many wooden benches for sitting and enjoying the view. Also a great sunset point. Few small food shops there by the beach like swarms, rolls, snacks etc. There are few drain canals flowing through the beach to sea water, and the beach is not so clean due to so easy accessibility to everyone. It's good for jogging, walking, relaxing though. There's a fresh fish stall by the beach and that makes it smelly around that shop. We'll, overall not too bad to visit.

Grand Baie is such an amazing location in mauritius....there are so many restaurants. The water activities are so easily accessible. There are currency exchanges virtually everywhere making it super easy for tourists. One can just sit at the beach the entire day and indulge in the local cuisine. So easy to get around using public transport.

The beach is OK but very busy with fishing boats, tourists, stray dogs, food kiosks, fishermen selling fish. Swimming I wouldn't recommend as water not clear or clean. The view is beautiful though.

All within walking distances, the locals are friendly with glorious pineapple juice on tap, should you want to spoil yourself. White sand , a few metres, walk to the warm,flat ocean, and you swim. Luxurious boats & catamarans are parked for you to watch. A safety line is clearly visible, showing you where it is safe to swim. Do yourself and your loved ones a favour and make a day of it. By the way,the parking is free.
