We visited Telfair Public Beach today, at least the viewpoint overlooking the beach. The roaring sea below is lovely to see and it’s a good place to see some unique birds. All in all a fun yet quick visit.

Amazing pretty spot to look out at the sea. There is a small part that has some beach sand and limited swimming, looks a bit dangerous. The views are incredible though. There are public toilets and lots of parking. It is near the bus station and a few food vendors. Take a walk down the path to the right of the beach, this is one of the most beautiful walkways in Mauritius. You can find a few secret beaches along this path.

Lovely shady park in front of the beach, nice for picnics. The beaches are small and rocky with dangerous rip currents. But if you stick with the crowd and swim next to the rocky outcrops it's fine. Lots of fish to see if you bring goggles and a snorkel.
