Arguably the nicest cleanest free beaches on the island. If you have a car, scooter or taxi, make the effort to come here. It’s far away from everyone else and is incredibly relaxing. The water is crystal clear and the people there friendly. And lots of space to stretch out if you want some privacy. Lots of parking available and safe to leave your car windows opens bit. There are not to many food vendors here so be sure to take a meal with you. And plenty of drinking water. The cleanest beach toilets available as well. I considered sitting down to pee as they were that clean.

Good beach. Climb up the mountain is good for all levels of climbers. When we visited it was rainy and slippery, so didnot go to the top. View of ocean from top is good.

Very clean and quiet beach. The facilities are a little neglected. It's worth the visit if you are nearby but don't bother on a special trip to this place. There are multiple beaches like this on the island.

Beautiful spot! Plenty of trees for shade. And good water temperature. Sand is a bit rough with dead corals, i recommend you to come with your water shoes to enjoy. May be a bit windy (depending on the days), I assume good spot for kite surfing as I noticed plenty of shops offering kite surfing lesson/service on my way here.

The most western point of Mauritius, worthy to wait for the stunning sunset. Beach itself is very calm, not much windy, due to the protecting rock Le Morne behind.

This was my second visit to Mauritius Island. After visiting beaches on the north we decided to go to explore the south part of the island. We found this hidden gem. Beautiful setting with turquoise waters and white sands. However, during my visit, I encountered a concerning issue. There were many dogs roaming freely on the beach, their owners let them swim, run and defecate without any supervision (not cleaning after them). It would be great if the beach management could address this situation to ensure a more enjoyable experience for all visitors. Apart from that, the beach itself is stunning and worth a visit for its natural beauty.

Arguably the most Beautiful beach in Mauritius πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ί 🏝️ Being a public beach, it still had facilities and a lot of local sellers with both food and souvenirs. The beach has ample parking πŸ…ΏοΈ and it’s easily accessible from the main road. The beach itself is wide with some of the bluest water we’ve seen and some of the best snorkelling 🀿 spots on the island. There’s plenty of open space with beautiful Casuarina trees proving wonderful shade from the sun β˜€οΈ. The sand is pure white, powdery and super soft. The reefs are pretty close by and if you do go out snorkelling, you will be amazed at the natural coral πŸͺΈ and beautiful fish 🐠 in abundance here. If that’s not enough, have a look behind you and will be astounded at Le Morné’s majestic height. All this adds to the natural beauty of Le MornΓ©. The famous underwater waterfall is a short distance away and all of the most luxurious hotel brands are at the end of this beach. Definitely a must visit when in Mauritius as this drive here and scenery is amazing 🀩. It’s not far from the Seven Colored earths of Chamarel and also close to Benetiers island 🏝️

If you don’t have a hotel at this beach you have to go there to spend some hours there and sunbath...the best beach in Mauritius in my opinion. Very nice hotels but the beach is public and there is a big car park free to use.

A peaceful beautiful beach. Not crowded even if it's a public beach. I'd recommend it to people whom don't really like crowded places.

One of the best spots at the coast in my opinion. Amazing place to watch the sun set

Nice and not overcrowded beach. Better acces to the ocean from public beach instead of hotel beach. As there are no private beaches, beach along hotel property is easily accessible from public one, but better walk longer for views and ocean access

Very beautiful beach. Just note that there are many resorts and not so many places to get drinks or food around.

Very nice beach, long and wide. It has free parkings and it is clean. You can meet crabs hiding in sand :) sunsets are really brautiful.

What a stunning beach. There is a decent amount of public parking. The beach is glorious and there are places you can get food and drinks, including the Lux hotel which was a little extravagant but very nice for a treat. Swimming and paddling in the sea is about as good as it gets. Make sure you visit the memorial gardens at the back of the beach to gain a little historical/cultural information. It is well worth the visit.

Easily one of the best beaches and setting anywhere in the world. If the weather is good, do not miss it. Nothing else compares!

Great beach with amazing view over the Morne. Good for afternoon and sunset due to sun exposure. Good sand too. Lots of free parking and toilets available.

Steep beach (compared to most beaches in Mauritius) and rough water, not a place for children. A bit exposed to the elements, great for wind surfers, a lot of skid boats on swing moorings. There are 3 public beaches, the main (biggest) and a bit further south is the other with a boat launching place and the other on the south beach. The beaches have a municipal toilet block, adequate shade, and a free car park. There is no public bus going there, (don't be fooled by the "contract buses" ferrying school children to the monument) either rent a car and include it on your route or take a very overpriced taxi from la Gaulette. It's a long way to go to sit on the beach, which is probably why the locals don't go there. Incidentally, there are no ATMs on the strip, so if you take a taxi, make sure you take your wadd. Check the StreetView option before you go.

Nice beach with lots of space for yourself. During the high tide we can actually really have a swim (all other beaches in Mauritius were very shallow). Be aware there is no shop or bar around, so bring your own stuff with you.

Not the best beach, it’s surrounded by resorts so the opportunity to grab a good spot in the sand is very limited. The weather as well is a bit more cloudy compared to the north part of the island. And most importantly, is impossible to get in the water without water shoes, there is a lot of rocks under the water.

Very iconic beach with Le Morne Brabant in the background! Enjoyable but not the best beach in Mauritius. Little shade available in public areas. Quite shallow so not the best for swimming. I advise to take watershoes.

Very fine white sands. Can have fun and picnic also. A lots of tree, clean sea shore

Really nice long beach with white sand... Lots of coral shards so take appropriate footwear and something to lie on. The beach has out of date signs around about hotels 'owning' the rights to the beach outside them but this is no longer the case. However I would suggest be appropriate about where you lie your belongings as the customers have paid for a beachfront. We visited on a weekday in September and it was empty if you walked up the beach away from the wind sports. Really peaceful. Not much to see in the sea. Few sea cucumbers, lots of sea grass and a handful of fish but it was very clear

What an amazing beach, just breathtakingly beautiful and serene and calm. Great place to dive and swim and snorkel. The water is very calm and you can go for a swim if it's a sunny day. Good food options nearby in food trucks.

Beautiful clean beach, we did snorkeling here in the shallow water, though it's rocky in shallow water but it's a safe beach, beach has many public facilities like washrooms, changing rooms, picnic spot, barbeque corner, ample parking space and a beautiful view of Le Morne mountain, sunset view from this beach is amazing

Not too busy with easy parking. Plenty of shade with fresh fruit to buy. Small cafe near by with beach front but closed by 3pm .

Quite a long beach with different areas and many shady trees. Popular with locals and tourists. The little red house delimits the public area from the Dinarobin Resort. But don't worry, as long as you stay on the beach you can walk all the way to the end of the beach.
