Amazing place to stay! ☀️ Quiet, peaceful and the nicest hosts you could imagine. We spent a week in this lovely place with its beautiful garden & pool area. The breakfast & dinner was both absolutely delicious, vegetarian options for one of us were also no problem at all. The hosts were super helpful whenever needed, they’ve even organized a rental car within one day. You can easily walk to the beach or just enjoy a day at the residence next to the lake. We highly recommend to book your stay here when you’re not a big fan of packed all inclusive mass tourism.

It's was the best place we stayed in Mauritius! It's like an oasis created with a lot of love of the owners. Very quiet, with a lot of nature all around. The owners have the consciousness of taking care of the nature, they planted a lot of trees, they feed the animals and they are really loving. The rooms very comfortable, the terrace it's a bless to lay down and just observe the nature. The food they make it's a MUST! It's prepared with love and delicious. It was a pleasure to stay at Horisun. We feel very happy and wish to come back.

This place ticks so many boxes!! We stayed in Garden view rooms. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom giant. The whole place clean super clean. The owners are both very friendly and helpful. The food is delicious - we booked their dinner on the first night we stayed. We had green curry, tom yum soup and dessert. The food was beautifully served, and cooked using herbs from their garden. Breakfast was also abundant: crepes, omelette, fruits and tea/coffee! The pool is large enough, and clean. Nice and quiet place for a relaxed time with family/friends or as a couple. What a great family runs this hotel. We are still amazed by the warm-hearted atmosphere at the Horisun. It is located in a local area of Belle Mare on the east coast of Mauritius. The owner and the staff try everthing to make you feel welcome. Sang her husband and their son whereas friendly and helpful as well as Poonam, her son Dewish and her husband. Our room was spacious and always clean. The big bath with the bathtub was fantastic. The breakfast and especially the dinner were tasty and delicious every time. The eating area at the lake has a very nice scenery. Even though it was raining quite often when we were there we enjoyed every minute of our stay. Because we became family with some other guest and especially with the hosting family. It is a totally different kind of vacation at the Horisun in comparison to a five-star hotel, but we are glad that we chose this type of holiday. And the price is reasonable. But we recommend a rental car to get around. Even though you can rent bikes for free. It is just easier to get to the beach or explore the beauty of Mauritius.

Horisun was just a great experience. Couldn't believe my eyes until i have seen it. Superb lake view was just awesome. Early morning, I just woke up with nature, birds humming and that sunrise over that lake, it was like I was in heaven Beach is not far, couldn't dreamt of better. Food was just mamamia, They offer a vast variety in menu if staying for long Thai dishes was simply hmmm........ have no words to explain. Perfect for destination weddings guys.

We spend whole week and enjoyed it all - great breakfasts, superb dinners, spacious and clean rooms (lizards free), very pleasant hospitality. The owner took us for the market to the nearby city and visited supermarket with us. Bikes to borrow for free. Feeling like home :-) Beautiful beach very near by, well located for trips around island (staff can help arrange anything). Well worth of money - would definitely recommend!

Horisun is situated in a quiet place and I would recommend anyone to go there if they want some peace. The horisun restaurant was quite a small walk away from where we stayed. I think that if you book the lake view room, you might be staying where the restaurant and pool is. Their breakfast was delicious ☺️ What I can add on is that a hair dryer might be missing from the room and some hand wash 😅
