It makes you wonder if the 5 stars review are even real. A family member DIED there, after a surgery, two days ago and no valid explanation was given to the family. Previous reviews here state that this clinic only cares about money, I can assure everyone that it’s true. That is all they care about. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE for our family. I BEG you, do not go there and do not take your loved ones there. I do not live in Mauritius and I was there on vacation a few weeks ago. My baby was sick and we took him to the Souillac hospital. The care he received there was outstanding. And it costs 0$. So please, save your money and save your life and that of your loved ones.

The pharmacy. Probably the slowest service centre in Mauritius. Definitely not on par with the actual medical services offered. Definitely go elsewhere to pick up your medicines.

Poor service, very unprofessional. That's a shame for the whole staff over there. I went there urgently at night and had to stay outside as there were only one person working. I was almost unconscious and the staffs said the security will assit me. Even animals are treated better in clinics.

Money minded clinic The main reason why people choose paid health service over free, is simply for the service. Had to wait for 2 months for an appointment Got a fix appointment time of 10A.M, when we reached, we had to wait for 14 patients before us The doctor cannot even talk in creole, which made the explanation difficult(both sides) The doctor is in a rush and avoid some questions, they tend to look for 'escape roads'. The question is, what is the difference between such a service and the public hospitals? They charge huge amounts, at least rs2000 for a consultation fee, which is already above average. Moreover, if they need to do a test, they charge an additional of rs500 labor just for doing the test which is supposed to be included in the consultation fee. The testing kit is not free of charge, we can understand. To conclude, we patients accept to pay private clinics more than we are supposed to, to benefit from a good quality and rapid service, instead we are given the same service that we would have got at the public hospitals. So, why should we choose Wellkin Hospital by C-Care for?

I got admitted in a common room on 31. 10 2020.i pay for common room and I got admitted in a day use, after operation I got the common room 426,i was suffering from severe headache, I press the alarm button for assistance it was on the 1st 11.2020. There were three ladies among one mada girl, and it was 11.30 when I asked for medicine, 12 o'clock I asked again, 12.15 one more time, 1h15 I need to act as a stupid silly man for the medecine to come. One of the mauritian lady live in caroline was really arrogant and not helpful at all. I regret to be in this so called best clinic of Mauritius. For me medisave give better assistance than wellkin. I'm leaving tomorrow and I will never recommend to be here. Very poor medical assistance. With your money you don't get the level best services.

Worst medical institution I have ever visited. It was better to go to public hospital. The doctors are not caring and does not value patients. I have waited for 3hr for an x-ray scan. The staff prefer to joke among themselves or are chatting on WhatsApp. Some patients had to shout or create a scene to get the staff attention.

We come here a lot. Never been more disappointed in their care than today. My sister has been having trouble breathing since this morning, she has had issues from childhood, was diagnosed with asthma when she was young. They did not check her lungs in the emergency even after they told them she had issues with breathing. We were made to wait one hour. When finally it came her turn the doctor was shocked and she had to be put under nebulizer. Would have been nice to have been listened to from the start.

I made an appointment for 2.05pm. It's 3.05pm and I'm still in the waiting room. No wonder why Welkin is worth 3.0 stars on google reviews. Pathetic management. Hey stakeholders, it's time to hire some competent people if you want to compete with other clinics.

Dr Shilpa Sinha is one of the worst doctors I have seen! She might be one of the best in her field but she has zero compassion for the patients and zero manners! One of the rudest doctors! You wait for 1h for a 10 minutes consultation and a Rs 2,000 bill!

Poor service, deserves 0 stars. They don’t provide simple information about treatment procedures, neither by phone or on their website, instead you need an appointment for that. I guess this is in order to rip off their clients. Then you go and wait 1h 30min or more (what’s the point of giving the appointment times, btw?!). If customer service is this bad, the treatment can’t be much better. We gave up, didn’t want to wait and pay 2000rs for a small piece of information that should be given for free, and decided to go and find another clinic with a proper customer service. Also the doctor (Shilpa Sinha) is always rude, she doesn’t greet or look at her clients when talking to them. She explains everything so fast that you probably need to ask clarification from the nurse after the appointment. Also her writing is full of errors and a pharmacist had to walk and ask her what was written in the prescription. Also, her nurse let in people that came after us... Another doctor in the same hospital did nothing, charged 1500rs and asked me to come to his private clinic for tests. However, the dentist was good, but the waiting time again long, I was promised to be the next one but then five other clients are served before me anyway. People at the entrance and in cafe are nice but unfortunately this is not enough for me to come back anymore. They have lost one client and I will save a huge amount of money and nerves.

Changing my review as Welkin is no more the place it used to be... Had a very bad experience when my dad got admitted. I've heard people say that Welkin is only for money. Unfortunately with the experience we had, I can only see indeed Welkin just see us as Cash Cows; taking money out of people for poor service. Some of the doctors don't even have people's or communication skills. Very very disappointed!!!

Not even a star. Went there Wednesday at around 21h. With my son aged 2 year..with fever. The ' triage' process in place categorised him in the 'green zone'..waiting time 1h. Not even a seat was offered to us..standing for more than 45mins. Secretary were unprofessional , impolite. baby was crying after 1h they stick to the fact that we should wait..people arriving after us were authorise to consult doc as they were in ' yellow/red zone'..who they are to determine that a child age 2 can wait for so long so later?! In public hospital at least you can get a seat. People working there are so used to see sick people that they have become insensible..they don't care at all. There was only one doctor working..but outside I saw doctors chatting in the parking while people were queueing inside. Decided to ask secretary when the child will be examined ..she didn't answer. Finally since my son was crying we left for another clinic where he was taken care of in less than 10mins. Not recommend only if you are in 'red zone'.. otherwise go elsewhere where there is no 'triage' and where staff are really caring.

(Translated by Google) since the hospital changed its name, it is a lamentable establishment. They think only of profitability. There is more investment, reimbursement by foreign insurance are refused even for the most known (AXA, ALLIANZ, MGEN ...). Bad experience Yesterday my mum got admitted, before admission a doctor check her on the belly, then he called me. He said to me he didnt find any wrong with my mum. Then i ve explain to him that two days consecutive we have been to the local hospital and had injections and may be that why she is not having her the pain, i insist to have an MRI or ultrasound. At first the doctor was telling what should he writes on the reference if she doesn’t have the pain. Then i have insisted to do Ultrasound to atleast check if there is something. Then after ultrasound the found a stone. And admitted my mum. I had stayed over with her. This morning she had breakfast at 7.30. And the nurse told her she has to fast till the doctor come but they said also sunday doctor will come early around 9.30 but till 15.30 no doctor came and several times i had to go and check to see about what time the doctor will come. My mum fasted 8hr and she started to have headaches and acid

Very poor service compared to before! Booked an emergency appointment with the gynae on Friday and got it only for Monday. Moreover came in way before appointment time, had to wait for nearly three hours before the doctor arrives (apparently he had an operation which is comprehensible) but aren’t they supposed to arrange for another backup doc for those who came in through emergency?! I asked for same and they said everything is done through appointment. Had to wait in unbearable pain. Will not recommend to anyone anymore.

Unfortunately cannot put 0 star. Had an appointment at 10:40 to 12:00 on the basics of first come first serve. Arrived at 09:15 and was the third person in queue. Consultation with the doctor had not yet started for anyone at 11 : 40. No information given by the attendants about the delay and the fact that the doctor have not arrived. When queried they just said that he is here and to sit . Still waiting for the consultation

I am deeply saddened and shocked to share my disappointment regarding the treatment my mother has received from Welkins. She is currently battling cancer, and unfortunately, her experience with the service provided by Welkins has been traumatic. In addition to the excessive noise generated by the nurses in the corridors, a series of events have made me seriously question the level of care of this supposedly "first-class" institution. During a recent procedure in which a gastro-intestinal tube was inserted, my mother faced unnecessary discomfort. The medical staff failed to apply gel on the tube to ensure a smoother insertion down her throat. Furthermore, their approach was rough and inconsiderate, resorting to shouting at her and urging her to swallow the tube faster. It is truly disheartening to imagine such unprofessional conduct taking place within a medical institution. Another concerning observation is the negligence displayed by the nursing staff in regards to hygiene practices. They nearly constantly neglect to wear gloves when attending to my mother's stomach wounds and catheters. Additionally, there was an alarming incident where my mother's oxygen mask had fallen onto the floor - astonishingly, a nurse was about to place the same mask back on her face without any concern for hygiene. I immediately intervened, insisting that the mask be discarded and a fresh one be provided. Such a blatant disregard for basic safety protocols is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the overall professionalism of the staff at Welkins. It is baffling to comprehend how a clinic of Welkins' stature can exhibit such a glaring lack of quality in its services. The unprofessional behavior and disregard for basic protocols are utterly disappointing.

Cannot put 0 unfortunately. More than 45min of wait at the emergency. The nurse tells you the Dr is there but in fact not, another 45min of wait... Never experienced such poor service in any other clinic in Mauritius & it's not the first time. Not the clinic I used to know some years ago. To avoid !!!

Extremely unprofessional. We went there as an expat to get a medical package for permits (they have packages for work permits). I was sent to C-Care, as soon as the front desk heard the word 'tests'. So we waited after taking a token at the C-care blood tests center - and after 40 minutes we were told that we had to go the heart centre. Flummoxed, we went to the heart center where we were told that were not registered yet - and had to go to step 1 (basically the same desk from where we started). When we went there, the lady again wanted to advise us to go back to C-care blood test center. Thankfully, my common sense prevailed, and I took those females to task. Then they made us wait for 15 minutes to get the names registered so that the heart center could see our names reflect against our passport numbers. If this is the case with expats, I wonder what would they be doing with locals, where there is lesser risk of escalation. Needless to say, you go to this hospital at your own risk !

When they cannot provide good quality of service do not advertise. They will make you wait for hours. Please employ those who can provide good information and dont charge a huge amount when you cannot fulfill what you promise. What a shame wellkin hospital.

had to wait to be able to get medics as a rule one has to do a RAT which is suppose to take 15 mins of waiting time but at Wellkin the same test takes an hour...and cost rs 1600. I wonder how accurate this is as i know the RAT is only indicative. When i went there they started screening me for Covid-19 even though my complaint was totally different. As per there say it is mandatory to to that RAT, wait for an hour, maybe even of you are abt to die, then a doctor will see you if your RAT is negative. Holly molly, i saw a doctor entering the main building, without going through a RAT. So i deducted that they can consult us WITHOUT doing a RAT themselves but we cannot get treated without doing a RAT!!! hell, the rules r just to make money.

Had an appointment for my son with a pediatrician. I assumed there would be a system but it turns out when one appointment finishes it's a free for all to push in and get in the room. As we're not used to this, everyone else did it better and we were sick there for 3 hours until everyone else had left. So unprofessional!

I recently had the opportunity to visit this hospital for a consultation before a cyst removal procedure. The hospital's cleanliness was exceptional. What truly stood out during my visit was the incredibly kind and attentive staff. From the moment I walked in, the receptionist greeted me with a warm smile and efficiently guided me through the registration process. The nursing and medical staff were equally welcoming and made me feel comfortable and reassured about the upcoming procedure. To my surprise and delight, they were able to accommodate the cyst removal on the same day as my consultation. I highly recommend this hospital to anyone in need of medical care or consultations.

We went there for an intervention. Private room was already booked few days in advance. When we reached at 7am the girl at the reception told us that there was a mix up and that there is no room for us and we have to settle for a general ward. Baring in mind that we were about to go through an intervention we were already stressed to begin with and few minutes later after arguing and looking for mails as proof that we did book a private room, the secretary told us with a huge smile that she made a mistake and she misread her chart. The lady was on her private phone dealing with private matters while dealing with us. It was our first unprofessional encounter. We went to the room where there was no pillow, no towels. House keeping took more than 2 hours to deliver them. Second unprofessional encounter. When we had to deal with discharge, there was a big mess among billing department and insurance. Please note that the patient has to deal directly with the insurance despite the state he or she is. We stayed up to 6 hours in the clinic since they wanted us to pay surpluses. Third unprofessional encounter. After a full day having to go up and down to deal and argue, we finally left the clinic at 6h30pm. Husband and I were in a very bad state. The clinic is a huge mess when it comes to admin. We were lucky enough to meet some nice people along the way, the nurse supervisor, Miss Delphine Mary was of a huge support despite it all. She managed to bring some emotional support in between. I do not recommend going to wellkin for interventions. It was our first time and our last. I do not recommend at all. Better go to the public hospital after all!

Just back from Wellkin.. So disappointed with the service. managed to get an appointment with a Gynae after 3 months and today despite being there half an hour early, I still had time to go back home, have my lunch & come back. When I later went to the Radiology department for an appointment, I waited in the queue like everyone else and at my turn the lady behind the counter was very rude. Something she could have said more politely, that there was a patient before me and that I would have to wait a little. She was rude and manner less. I preferred walking away. Way to go Wellkin..your service is not worthy of the price we paying for.

Had my PCR test done there. 2 days before my departure. So 24 hours should work. My traveling buddy got the result after 13 hours but mine never came. So I started calling them, writing emails, chats etc and they promised one would call me back. But they never did. So I had to spend 1700shilling going there again in a taxi to find out they spelled my email wrong. - instead of using my email direct from the online registration. So stressful. - they should provide a link for the result instead.

Honte a vous. Vraiment déçue du service !

Room 306 - Friday 11 June till Sunday 13 June 21 I would like to extend my grattitude to Dr Jagessur and Dr Gopal and Resident Doctors and the shift staffs from 3rd floor, for the care, special attention and friendly approach you provided to me as an outpatient. Thanks for helping me to recover. Dr Gopal was great in helping for a Knee brace Gibaud which was out of stock @ Wellkin. Keep it up, you were all very kind, full of understanding and extremely patient. Stay safe Stéphanie

I just want to thanks the whole team of Wellkin Team during my visit over there..When you or a family member are under the care of a health pro who can do all that, you can’t help but notice and feel grateful. It might be a doctor, nurse, EMT, therapist, or other provider. Whatever your specific role, the level of care you guys give calls for genuine appreciation. I just came there for some normal test and for PCR test, there was a very joyful and energetic lady Jesimiel...i think she is one of the best customer service person ive met so far at a Medical Service.. To give real service you must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity and this is what i felt from Jesimiel..All the other staff were also very helpful and friendly and without forgetting Jesi made a great impact..

Worst service & there's no honesty about the care and hardly been advised about the care the patient is receiving and to why he's receiving the treatment. No proper diagnostic. We have been dealing with Dr. Mishra and he has been very hard to communicate and he has been rude and frustrated upon questioning him about the care/treatment. My father was under his care and all we were getting from Dr. Mishra that "he's doing better". My dad undergone so many tests/scans and it feels like they couldn't do a proper diagnosis to know what was the issue. The duty of the Doctor is being very informative, patient and being very honest, despite how good/bad outcomes are which Dr. Mishra lacks. We, as a family, felt like we were ripped off instead getting the care that we expected from the hospital. You don't deserve even the 1 star. I wish honesty was a key factor about the care, the least i could get was to say goodbye to my father.

Very bad experience. My daughter went there after she felt at school. Waited for one hour with her pain, nothing was done. Went to another clinic and she had a fractured radius. Sent email also no reply. Not recommended at all.

The professionalism, the care, oh and EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE were amazing. Dr.Mishra, Dr Timol and all the staff, especially in ICU were fantastic. Thank you to each and every one of you. God Bless you all for your care

Very disappointed with the service. Does not treat emergency patients as emergency cases. Patients have to wait for 2 hours before being attended by a doctor, especially kids. I had to return without consultation for my kid as it was taking too long for a doctor to consult her. Why the name EMERGENCY if the service is not being treated as emergency??

Very poor customer service encountered yesterday. My husband had to leave to get his treatment which were NOT available in Mauritius, he was kept hostage until they gave him discharge which they took more than 3 hours to do. We especially talked to them early in the morning to make sure discharge was done early to prevent latenest. We had a flight to take at 4:30 and at 2:45 we were still at wellkin waiting for them to let us go, they refuse to remove the needle in my husband’s hand until they had the green light from billing. It was purely ridiculous service they did absolutely NOTHING to go an extra mile for a patient suffering from cancer who was requiring urgent care abroad. Moreover they were making it even harder and harder as if they purposely wanted us to miss the flight. We got to the airport stressed an exhausted because of WELKIN POOR customer service and ridiculous procedures in terms or urgency there is no urgency at all, they simply do not care about patients health they care about money!

Went there today at 17h. I was impressed that at 17h15 I had really consulted their Doctor. However, I had to wait 45 min to process my payment and get my prescription. If I hadn't ask them why it was taking so long, I believe they would have forget me. Definitely there is something wrong here.

Polite staff. Clean environment. Nurses well explained the procedures. Proper assistance received at the radiology dept despite the bad cyclonic weather of Class2 (Belal). However, long waiting time, should try to review the appointment time.

Really very disappointed about the service here. Far cry from the lovely service I had when my baby was born last year. I've been in the emergency room for over 4 hours. I came in with severe back, neck and arm pain. I've had to move beds 4 times, which is agony. I've asked for painkillers 4 times but I have to wait another 3 hours . I've been bumped into doors and walls when transported for tests. I can't get anyone's attention as I can't walk and they are talking too loudly in the ER to hear me calling someone to help me. If I could walk for more than 2 minutes I'd walk right out of here and catch a lift home where I can at least manage my own pain better. ***** I appreciate your response and trust that you will look into this and make some changes. My stay at Wellkin on Tuesday was a nightmare, please provide me with a contact email as I wish to make a formal complaint about the nurses in the General Ward. Last year I had a wonderful experience in the maternity ward as well as the pediatric unit with caring, compassionate nurses. On Tuesday night when I finally got to my ward at midnight, the nurse on duty looked less than pleased to be receiving another patient. She didn't greet me or offer any assistance. When I asked for pain relief I was offered a sleeping tablet. I understand there are waiting times for pain medication and I had received Pethadine in the ambulance at 7pm but surely for extreme pain there should be additional assistance. I was eventually offered paracetamol at 2am. The next morning I woke up in agony at 530am. I repeatedly asked for stronger pain relief and was crying due to pain. The nurses did not assist me at all. For 4 hours I lay there crying asking for help or to see a doctor. The nurses just said they would call a doctor and walked away. I would patiently wait 30 minutes to an hour and ask again. Most of the time they just gave each other looks and ignored me. I have never been treated so badly in my life. I understand they are busy, It would have taken 1 minute for one of the nurses to just come hold my hand, tell me they understand I'm in pain, ask the doctor in the ward to give the go ahead on stronger pain relief and inform me that my assigned doctor would be there at 10am after his surgery. It's just general compassion and decency to keep patients informed and comfortable. I'm now due for disc replacement surgery but opted to return home for bed rest. If I'm required to stay in that ward again after surgery I would rather do the operation at a different hospital.

Not very professional, I'm sorry to say. First I called the clinic to ask about costs and how procedure would be looks like. The receptionist told me, she can't give me any informations and i will have to spoke with doctor and he explain me everything. Ok I understand that. When I spoke with doctor he told me he cannot give me any information, so I would have to call the clinic and ask, you would never guess, the receptionist. So when I called after my visit the receptionist said she cannot give me any information and I have to send email. So I did and as a respond they send me informations about different medical procedures not what I asked for. At this stage communication is so hard I'm not sure can I trust them with my health. It also seems like there's no way of communication between doctors and people who's working in the clinic. The receptionist asked me about doctor's note after my visit. Don't they have a computer system where they storage info about patients?

Some staffs are the true Gems and assets of a company whereas other are liabilities. Have my two kids admitted here - my daughter 5 yrs since 4 days and staffs were excellent and I felt like wellkin has been able upgrade their services and pediatric department staffs have really change my views on wellkin services but I’m so sad to see that for my son 16 yrs things are totally different on this level.. no way of talking to customers, no respect, staffs speaking with an extreme arrogance and all of a sudden it was like taking a cold shower. I’ve been coming to wellkin since it was Apollo and I must say that there was indeed a great vision and great hospitality when was Apollo. Today’s complaints also is not taken as a token for improvement but it’s rather considered as a time pass job. Sabina Zeadally

It was terrible😖👎. This hospital had really disappointed me. My mom had delivered my little sister there. The c section operation went well but the service of the hospital was extremely bad 👎. My parents needed to pay for every single thing e.g like those dental kits and razors that we didn't even use. The hospital"s breakfast was just a bowl of cereal and some tea. My mom needed to insist with the nurse. Then she brought my mom toast and fruit salad. The room is also not that attractive either. So luckily, we stayed only one day or we"ll pay even more money. Long ago, it was an amazing hospital but now it's trash. So I'll advise you people to go to clinic Muller or clinic bon pasteur which is way better. So if you listen to the wellkin hospital commercial in the radio, don't even think about going there. Go to clinic Muller instead.

(Translated by Google) We don't respect the dates at all. More than 1h30 waiting for a simple consultation ... In addition no info. We don't know whose turn it is because nobody calls the names. It created a lot of tension between patients. Finally, not even a word of apology. For a private hospital, it's not worth it, we'll go back to customer service. (Original) On ne respecte pas du tout les rendez vous. Plus de 1h30 d'attente pour un simple consultation... En plus pas d'info. On ne sait pas c'est le tour de qui car personne appelle les noms. I was at the emergency today quite late night. Though there were many patients, I was impressed by the courtesy, the patience and the professionalism of the doctors and nurses.Quick action in a disciplined manner. Dr Mohit and Nurse Nandini spared no effort to do all the checks, provide the necessary treatment and explained the results and the required follow up steps to me in a clear and professional way. It is comforting to find such level of dedication and professionalism in the medical service. Keep it up 👌👍

I would like to thank the staff and all the Doctors at the Wellkin Clinic for the excellent care that they provided my mother who recently underwent major surgery at the clinic. During her almost 5 week stay at the clinic the staff were always friendly and efficient and went out of their way to ensure that she was taken care of. A special mention must be given to Dr. Guness, the Cardio-thoracic surgeon, and his team who saved my mothers life, under complicated circumstances. I would also like to thank Lisa Kontominas, The In-Patient Services Manager for her help and Understanding. Most importantly, my sincere gratitude is extended to Alexandra Chan MacAulay, the Patient Relations Manager. The care, compassion and absolute willingness to assist with any problems I had, were dealt with professionally and speedily. She is a true asset to this organization ! We will be eternally grateful for everything that you did to assist us. I would highly recommend this clinic to anyone.

I would like to thank Wellkin C Care for having save my uncle life he had a heart attack in the clinic two weeks ago with a septicemia ..he is alive and I place on record all members of the staff who have been really helpful and professionals.. on Sunday 26 March my uncle badly needed some cathéther in view of his treatment at home..I went everywhere in Rose Hill to look for this tool but they were nowhere to be Found. I rushed to Wellkin Pharmacy and was welcomed by a gentle lady Mrs Afsanah Antoraoo..She understood the urgency of this situation and handle this request with such a professionnalism and even called the nurse who took charge of my uncle when he was admitted in the clinic in the ICU as Mrs Antoraoo wanted to be certain that it was the right cathether size since my uncle was on high médication. The pharmacist lady is very caring and I would really like to place on record of her perfect attitude he empathy and professionnalism... these are the qualitiés that we clients or patients look for particulary when it concerns health. Bravo Wellkin Bravo Mrs Antoraoo. Keep it up. God Bless
