Blue Bay Superette

Grocery store

😠 I don't usually post bad reviews, but this place took me by surprise. The shop is counter service, so less time to review what you're buying before purchasing. I tried to return an expensive item I realised was unsuitable *less than a minute after purchase* and was told I can only exchange it - afte... People often mention shop, supermarket, expensive,

Nice shop with few things you might need. Prices are higher (for instance soup for 80rs is normally in big shop for 20rs) but since there is no competition.. you might find some wine as well but no rhum. They also have some fruits and pastry. Lunch break sign might be there for long time but she is probably down in the restaurant.

(Translated by Google) The only grocery store in Blue Bay, reading the reviews I'm sure some people dare to compare a beachfront grocery store with supermarket giants. Of course, the prices are a little more expensive but these are reasonable and the human heat is priceless. By taking the time to talk with the owners who also offer delicious dishes (cheaper and better than Bougainville 3min), you can discover good addresses on the island and they will try to make your holiday easier! Yes heat and human contact, nothing better. Thank you to Rassoul and his wife.

I tried to return an expensive item I realised was unsuitable *less than a minute after purchase* and was told I can only exchange it - after being told what was written on the product was not true(!). It just doesn't make you want to come back..

This isn't a place where you can walk around. You have to ask for what you want at a counter, and they'll bring the items to you . If you intend on buying a few items, it's best to have some change. If you like, you can just sit outside at a table and have a coffee!

Only supermarket in this area. It's more like a Mini Market. They have the stuff you need (Water, Coke, Snacks). Prices a bit higher. But no SIM cards here. You have to go to an actual provider shop like Emtel.

Useful little shop for food, drinks and other items. The lady was very friendly and helpful. Sure, it's harder that you can't wander around, but if you ask for something, she'll tell you what items she has available.

Unpleasant woman behind the counter. They don't let you into the shop. Didn't buy anything or go back. There is a good supermarket a couple of bus stops away on the 46 route - London Way. Avoid this overpriced dump. You can get cold beers from Blue Snack Bar.

Good enough for a small shop. Most of the essentials are available.

It's a traditional Mauritian shop (la boutique), so it's normal to be served from behind the counter.

Rude lady. She used the excuse of having no change for Rs200 for not selling us 2 water bottles. Why bother having a shop with that terrible attitude?

An absolutely pointless shop. This place could be making so much money as it's the only potential shop in the area, bit there's basically nothing on the shelves. Bizarre! The restaurant downstairs is alright for breakfast. Maybe that's why the review score is over 3 stars, Just be for the restaurant rather than the shop. The nearest supermarket London Way is 4.5 km away so be prepared for that.

Small super market. Water costs double of a big supermarket. They have fresh baguette every morning. They have changed the opening days. Sunday closed. Monday to Saturday from 7:00 to 19:00. It is the only supermarket in blue bay. Next one is 7 minutes by car. (London way)

Range is better than the other small hawkers in the area, but there is only a limited selection really but enough for a stopgap. For a decent shop you are better heading up the costs elsewhere.

No prices displayed, expensive. Opening hours not reliable. Walter is even more expensive than in a Kiosk.

(Translated by Google) The supermarket on the upper floor offers only the bare minimum. So you shouldn't expect miracles. Some cheese and sausage in a drinks display case and other canned goods etc. Before the staircase next to the restaurant there is a display with some fruit and vegetables. That was it. At least there are a few, including cold, drinks. (Original) Der Supermarkt im Obergeschoß bietet nur das allernotwendigste. Man sollte also keine Wunder erwarten.

That was the only things that was missing in Blue Bay. Prices are very much cheaper that the exiating shop from the beach. You get from frozen meat to drinks and even gets fresh bread everyday morning. I seen that prices are higher than from supermarkets, but i understand that they buy small scale goods and usually this costs more expensive to them. You will get soft drinks to alcohol and wine, foodstuffs including canned and frozen, yoghurt and dairies, breads and biscuits, and a lot of items. Please note that it is situated on the 1st floor.
