Beautiful and so resourceful, all you need to know about the civilization of the Fang-Beti . So proud of the hard work and research Dr. Fouda Thèrese put in to achieve this mesmerizing space.

Discriminatory prices; you pay more if you are a foreigner. I wasn't impressed by the museum. The national museum has more stuff and is a lot cheaper. Electricity was down while we were visiting. So we paid to see things in the dark. I didn't like the owner's remark. When I told her I've already paid at the entrance she replied: "we are not wild people here like you think". How does she know I thought that when I never did? Ma'am because I am not black you think I was thinking that? It's not very professional and doesn't give a good first impression about the place. Maybe you could think of an exposition at your museum about stereotypes too.

Very well maintained museum, with beautiful objects to learn a little more about the people of the forest, particularly the Beti ethnic group, with very friendly staff. Small point of improvement on the need to deepen the information given by the guide. Some elements deserved some additional information of which she was not aware. Fortunately, the founder of the museum, Ms. Fouda, was present to overcome this and answer the various questions! Count 5000 FCFA for an adult, 2500 for a student.

First of all, do not take a picture before permission from the staff and Dr. Founda, the owner of the museum. This is a great collection of ethnographical stuff I was so amazed.

The national Museum costs Fr.5000. The Blackitude museum is Fr.3000. This museum costs Fr.10,000 for foreigners which is seriously over priced. This is really not much of a museum and the tour guide did not speak good English. Give this place a pass and save your money and your time.

Great museum. The founder, Ms. Fonda, is there every day and is also available to answer questions. The staff is friendly and competent, unfortunately the tour is only offered in French.

(Translated by Google) The works there are super well preserved. The museum is alive. Coming out there we really understood the history of these peoples and failing that, the guides answered all the questions. The founder is passionate and produces many paintings herself. As a woman we find inspiring figures from history (although this point could be more developed 😁). Great museum. To do absolutely if you go to Yaoundé (Original) Les œuvres y sont super bien conservés.

Very enriching, very well laid out framework, we are immersed in the life of our ancestors with identical reproductions of the living environment of these peoples. Go there and drink some knowledge. (Translated by Google) Nothing to say go visit this museum. If you want to know a little more about the history of the peoples of the forest and the center of Cameroon. I recommend it to 1000%! When I went I was lucky to find the founder. She told us about the city of Yaounde. It was really magical. I lived here there was no better way to tell me about the city where I grew up! (Translated by Google) The Ethnographic Museum of the Peoples of the Forest and Central Africa was founded by a retired pharmacist. She is the daughter of a soldier who joined General De Gaulle in the French Resistance during the Second World War. The collections are presented by type of objects (cooking utensils, weapons, ornaments, masks, traditional musical instruments). The museum is the result of more than 40 years of work but it evolves permanently, being the place of welcome of dance or cooking events to which the foreigners of passage but also the international schools of Yaoundé join. We can finally note that the guide is very applied in its explanations, and that the shop offers various handicrafts as well as postcards.

This place is so wonderful. Calm, appeasing to the soul and the objects of ancient time reflecting our history gives life to our existence. I was so shocked to see iron in its raw form. The snake of the Beti people, the weapons of hunting, the head shape of the ancient Congolese people, the story of the tortoise as the judge, it is just soo much to write about. Then, the painting activity we did was just an added touch to this experience. This was an exceptional and unforgetable experience.
