It was definitely interesting to see different types of species, however the lady at the front selling the tickets tried to scam my family by attempting to make us pay even more than the required amount which I found very disturbing. Nevertheless the tour received from one of the workers in the zoo was exceptional as he was very well informed on each species present in the botanical zoological garden.

Lovely place🤍❤ - Nice for families. -Perfect spots for picnics. - Blend in with nature with exotic animals like lions, crocodiles, hyenas, eagles, antelope, snakes, parrots, primates and so on.. - You can also ride horses there. Its 1000 francs for a ride and 40k for classes on how to ride a horse. - There is also a playground for kids. - This is definitely one of the best recreational spots in Yaoundé

Good place to take your kids. My guide was very professional and knew the history of this environment perfectly. He was also bilingual and friendly.

My son loved it there. He was exited to see lions but was a little bummed to see just one. I wish there was a wider variety of animals tho. Too many apes.

We enjoyed the tour! It’s a good place to take kids to, so that they can see and feel the nature, and learn from it. There’s even an entertainment area especially designed for kids!👌🏽 My children love being there!🤩

Well, they have quite some animals, but in my opinion, they are fewer than I was expecting. Most of the animals are the rare species and endangered species. The environment for the animals is not well taken care of in my opinion. Snakes were really fewer than I expected.

It's a place for kids to go relax and play with friends, little or no animals can be spotted in the zoo making me doubt if it's really a zoo.

We really enjoyed our tour of this small zoo. Our guide was very friendly and knowledge, present with us and shared his intimate knowledge and relationship he had built with many of the animals with us.

The zoo had monkeys, snakes, lion, horses, bush pig, birds, crocodile, and one other kind animal which I don't know it's name. The zoo still needs to bring in more animals like Elephants, chimpanzees, buffalos, gorillas, leopards, tigers, eagles, wolves, and many others. I enjoyed my experience there but wasn't fully satisfied because many species of animals were not there.

Crocodiles need more space, quite a few of the animals in the photos have died. It needs more maintenance...

It's a cool place to visit with kids, but I think they need to step up their sanitation

The zoo is big and has a lot of neglected potential unfortunately. It's still worth though. Get there

The zoo is a catchy spot in town and is very easily accessible. It boosts a diverse range of monkeys and baboons. Though it's quite fun, especially the museum, it's not at its best. It's relatively unclean and lacks a degree of organisation. Also, the animals, especially the lion look weak and sickly, the snake stall is unlit and creepy, the hyena too is overly wounded. The restaurant is just not intriguing or engaging. Generally, these days, the place has lost its glory and needs more attention; cleanliness, modernization, and diversification. Nonetheless, it serves it's purpose.

A zoological garden in the heart of Yaounde. This actually is the only one of its kind in the city of Yaounde. The zoo has local wild life species
