By far one of my best museum experience in Cameroon. Had I known how rich and insightful the content of the museum was, we would have planned to be there for at least 2 hours, instead of one. The museum gives a great overview of Cameroon's B.C history (the civilizations that existed on the territory that is now called Cameroon, such as the Sao of the Far North). The expo also does a commendable job in regrouping the 240+ ethnic groups of Cameroon into 4 main anthropologically similar ethnic cultures. We learn their beliefs and daily traditions.

The Civilisation Museum is one of the top places to visit in Dschang. You'll learn more about the Bamileke culture and villages esp but will equally be briefed on the history of other places in Cameroon. They have bilingual Tour guides Prices are very moderate (with additional 5k if you want to take pics during your tour) It's location is ideal as it's easy to visit (not far from the road). Perfect place for picnics as it's right beside the Dschang Municipal Lake in FOTO, restaurants and hotels are equally not far from it.

The museum is mans eye on the past. Through its expositions one can revisit what was. Its cultural display of mask and more are jus breath taking. Love everything I saw and lived. They even got Cameroon's first presidents car.

It's awesome and just amazing to see the great display of artefacts of the past. I enjoyed the tour and it was a really enlightening experience to learn of my Culture, history and some... a little disturbing traditions of the past. I was impressed with so many grandiose displays, and a particularly funny colonial boots and hat caught my attention lol. This really brought to life the history lessons I got in primary school. Displays: You'll see displays from the four corners of the country from archeological expositions to sculpture, art and customary artefacts. A human hair made ritual clothing made from actual human hair gotten from barbershops in the country gave me the creeps... ? There are a good number of artefacts (replicas) on sale ranging from sculptures to slippers and books. It's a great place to take children to inspire them about their future looking back at their past. Overall it was a memorable experience of learning and enlightenment! Thanks

We liked the museum. Lots of pictures and sculptures. The tour itself wasn't bad. Just far too detailed about the little things, no structure and chronological consequences of the country's development. Only at the end did we find out that we would have to pay for the pictures taken. We didn't think it was nice.

The mini nautical base allows you to take a ride on the lake. The children's play area is small, but very nice. The museum contains many magnificent works of art. There is a perfect restaurant with various dishes, refreshing drinks and beer. (Original) Cet endroit est vraiment attractif.
