Luagan Lalak Recreation Park Pond in Brunei. Description Lalak Lake is a pond in Mukim Labi, Belait District, Brunei. It is located within the Labi Hills Forest Reserve as part of the Luagan Lalak Recreation Park, and 100 kilometres from Bandar Seri Begawan. The Brunei Malay term "Luagan", refers to a natural pond or non-flowing body of water. Find tranquility in The Luagan Lalak Recreation Park. The park is home to an alluvial freshwater swamp known for its mesmerising beauty. The walkways extend out into the center of the swamp,Β as the mirror-like surface of the water reflects the open sky with all of its majesty. Each visit may be different too, as the water rises and falls with the seasons. In the dryer months, the water gives way to beautiful patches of sedges. It’s a great place for dreamy walks and beautiful photos.

A nice park to go to especially if you want a picturesque background for your photos! There are three huts and each of them can fit about 20-30 people which is great for a place to hangout or have a picnic with loved ones. Unfortunately, we're not sure if this place is maintained by anyone because there is a broken walkway so you have to be careful and watch your step.

1 hour drive just to visit here while trying to connect with nature. But ended up very disappointed πŸ˜ͺ Hope they’ll fix it soon because it is such a waste to let it be ruin.

Luagan Lalak is about 96 km from Bandar Seri Begawan and 1hr 15 min drive. A great place for bird watching or fishing. It's quiet in the morning but in the afternoon you could see the villagers fishing. The spot is also great for watching the milky way at night.

Very scenic. Quiet. Easy access even with motorbike though some roadworks due to recent floodings but passable. Enroute to waterfalls in Labi

Amazing place! The silence screams in your ears, and you become one with the nature. You can hear birds and monkeys from far far away. If you just be still, you will see nature at its purest.

Came here for the first time in the afternoon. Place was truly peaceful, scenic and suitable to spend quality time with your family/friends/partners! But I strongly suggest to go here on big vehicles (eg. 4Γ—4, off-road, SUV etc.) as you will face potholes and minors floods (i.e after rainy days). Overall, my go-to list has been fulfilled! ❀

Luagan Lalak is a nice place to relax and enjoy the nature. You can bring your family and spend your time viewing the surrounding area from one of the hut built by the Brunei Forestry Dept.
