Comfort food, quick stop before heading anywhere to and from Bandar Seri Begawan.

The place have old tables & seats with edges scrapped from over use. The display rack food will just be microwave to heat up. I ordered fry fish coated with curry flavor flour, its not fresh and masked with vinegar perhaps to remove foul smell. My asian vegetable stir fry in onion garlic, its bright color like unnatural and served cold.the soup is like water with pepper. The noodles taste like it has dust perhaps not blanched properly The female servers are wearing decent local outfit. However, the male servers wear like untidy shirt and one old guy servers looks like he can have a shower as he looks messy . Theres also a musty stench from all over the restaurant. Mostly from the vinyl top table that water seemed to have seeped from over use of wipung wuth wet table clothes. The display food looks not so fresh. They serve "rojak" an asian salad with ground peanut sweet dressing. Im not sure if it's hygienic as the kitchen prepping counter for drinks & salads have the similar stench of rotting wood panels. Over-all, if I'm not rushing with an hour lunch break, Ill totally avoid the place.

Clean and tidy place to bring your family to have food. You could choose a variety of food including the famous mee mamak or the pre-cooked set meal of Nasi Briyani, chicken, beef and veggies. The murtabak, on the other hand, has left me a bit disappointed, not as good as the one in Telisai branch. All in all, a recommended place. After that, you could do your shopping at Soon Lee Mini Mart or visit the Guardian.

Service was slow. No server/cashier was available to attend to me when I was trying to pay and pickup for my order at the cashier's table. 5 minutes went by and then only someone took my payment. Frustratingly, I had to wait for 10 - 15 minutes for my takeaway of Roti Kosong because no one included the curry and dhal sauce. I had to leave the place with my dry Roti Kosong because they couldn't get anyone to pack the sauce for me. Despite calling them 30 minutes in advance for my food to be prepared. Not even an apology was given. They seem to be very understaffed. If you can't serve 20 people at a given time, don't provide 20 seats. Price: acceptable. Good value for money. Food wise: tastes good for their Roti Kosong and Dosai. Their sauces are good. Cleanliness: need improvement.
