Lovely place to visit and apparently it's always 16-18 degrees C so you'd probably appreciate it more in the middle of a heatwave. When we bought the tickets, we've been told the next tour starts in 10 min and it's in Portuguese. And the English one will start in 25-30 min. Since we didn't want to wait, we joined the Portuguese tour. Big mistake! The tour took "1 hour" and not 15 min as I thought it would. I am sure the guide gave a lot of interesting information but spending an hour down there without understanding a word was painful. I'd highly recommend waiting for the English one if you don't speak Portuguese!

The caves are impressive. The tour guide was a gentleman that was very knowledgeable and keen on his job, but his lengthy talk and frequent pauses were a bit too much for our 6 and 3 year-old kids.

This cave can also be visited with the adjacent Cave de Alvades by purchasing a joint ticket. The leadership was very good. Cave is beautiful and huge. very many formations. Clear recommendation.

The caves are incredibly beautiful and deserve to be visited by everyone. Apart from the path that was created to be able to visit and the lighting, everything is natural (and naturally beautiful). I was extremely lucky that there were only 4 of us on the visit, which allowed me to photograph freely and calmly enjoy the galleries visited. The guide was extremely friendly, answering questions and explaining the history of the caves.

The caves themselves exceeded expectations and presented nature in all its glory. The visit takes 30 / 40 minutes and the guide shows a truly understand and love of the caves. It's a magical world create by nature. Definitely put it on the list if you're visiting Nazare or Fatima.

Nice view, we were too late for the tour but we were able to enjoy the view. Chill the fat with 0.33 liters of water and 27°C heat.

Absolutely worth seeing it, when you are around. Very nice atmosphere and impressing sculptures formed by Nature. We were almost the only visitors.

What a treat to go into the earth! The caves are beautiful and fascinating. Also they don't feel claustrophobic. It is a guided tour, and the guide was knowledgeable and happy to answer questions. There are 2 sites a few kilometers away from each other. Both are interesting and worth visiting. Enjoy!

Very interesting and educational, learned a lot regarding the formation of grutas. Tour was just long enough and felt safe the entire time. Price was fair.

Wonder of Nature. One of the most beautiful caves in Portugal.🙏😍 It's worth a visit. Furthermore, I have to record the sympathy of Mrs. Arminda, at the ticket office, and Mr. Carlos Alberto, who has a lot of wisdom, humor and friendliness. Congratulations. 👏🏻 I recommend.

The best caves I've ever seen. Alive, growing, with very different shapes, with lakes, fossilized animals. It is very interesting to listen to the excursion. And bats live there.

Quite impressive. Barely any people in the low season. Tour is 30-40mins with a guide - portugese only, but you can get an info pamphlet in english. Adult ticket is 6.60eur, which is reasonable.

Wonderful cave to visit. Recently discovered in 1955 by accident. A large cave of around 4000 square meters , with plenty of amazing stalactites and stalacmites to see.

Magnificent cave, very nice discovery Too bad that the Guide (gentleman of a certain age) was totally unsympathetic indifferent and only addressed the Portuguese! This spoiled our visit a bit.
