This place is the best. We have been in Portugal for 11 days this was beyond a doubt one of the most fun places we have eaten at. We stumbled in by chance after waking out of a place 10 minutes down the road. The people here were wonderful, warm friendly great service! The food, pork, boy do they know their pork. We split 4 sandwiches, peppers, and green beans. If you are looking for the local family experience and some amazing food. This is the place for you.

Got there at around 20:30, the restaurant doesn't take reservations and that is completely understandable, me and my group were willing to wait, no problem, we waited until 21:45, when we were called into the restaurant, we noticed the door had a note that said "after 22H anything you order will have 15% added to it's price" so we sat down and I clearly stated to one of the waiters, in a joking manner "please take our order before 22H so we don't pay the 15% extra", and they said someone would be along to take our order, no one came to take the order until 22H, when I asked the waiter if the 15% wouldn't apply because we had been waiting inside the restaurant with our order ready for 15 minutes, the waiter was rude and said that it was 22H so the 15% extra would apply, this was the first time I visited this cramped noisy place, and it was also the last, the food is mediocre, would not recommend.

This tiny restaurant offers an amazing atmosphere and delicious, well-priced food. While the wait can be long, it's totally worth it if you can get a table. Highly recommended with a five-star rating!

The food is what I love in Portugal and I go to find it wherever it leads me. If you want authentic Portuguese food try to go to Tascas around Lisbon, as every other nice restaurant in the tourist part of Lisbon is Portuguese food with elevated French preparation, boring! Cabra Macho stands out as a tasca because the food is amazing. The owners are hip and young, and very in-tune with the tastes of Portugal. The only downside is finding parking, also the food is very inexpensive.

One of the best local experience's in Cintra, very recommended!!! Food was delicious, waiters are funny and fast, line outside was big, but everyone got in, definitely gonna come back))
