Unfortunately there are several activities that aren't working properly and some are simply turned off. It seems that they were heavily used and are weared/broken and need an urgent care/replacement. Also the quality of the movie (payed an additional amount just to watch it) was really low... Not even 480p and some of the texts are really hard to read. It's unfortunate, because the topics are really good and important for kids, especially the ones under 12 years.

Good idea, badly carried out. Lacks maintenance and that “extra touch”. The Hemispherium is a good idea, but the movies they show are absolutely terrible.

Excellent place, with a variety of activities which are perfect not only for Science classes, but also for spending some time discovering the world again through the eyes of your children. Interesting exhibitions, different topics to be covered! A big plus for the amazing staff (thank you, Miriam!) who are well-prepared, helpful and with you every step of the way. Excellent experience for everyone!

My 7-year-old son is using the interesting summer course scheduled by the municipality of Coimbra in this place. We really like this place. In addition to fascinating parts for children, the staff are so kind, expert and innovative in their work. The students can experience new things in this beautiful place. The best place for children to play, discover and experience what is needed based on their age range.

Fantastic place for kids! Lots of activities and fun games. The kids from 2 to 10 years old were all well entertained and us parents too! Definitely worth a visit. We are looking forward to go back as we didn’t manage to explore everything during the 1 hour and half of our visit. A great place for families in Coimbra.

First thing, the place did not accept any of our 3 different foreign cards (lack of contracts from terminal), meaning I had to drive to withdraw money. The coffe shop located in the same building did accept our cards however, so this is clearly a tentative to save money on the cards terminal at the entrance. In the exposition itself that we saw around 40% of the experiments didn't work, as they were broken or just switched off. A lot of the failures were related with missing parts connected to the experiments that had just been cut or broken. This was pretty disappointing and not worth the money. I will not be coming back for sure and would not recommend it to anyone.

Very nice space to visit. I'd recomend however: - Repair or at least post as offline experiences that damage. - Some experiences are not clear what to do, what to expect. Visual&Step communication would surely help. - Works best for older children, but younger will also enjoy, even if through unexpected ways

Good place to bring your kids, it has some expositions with activities about science that they can explore. It offers a birthday party program great for the kids, but not so great to the parents: if for any reason you stay with your child during the party, you cannot go with them to the activities, and are then forced to stay in the meals' room with not much to do for more than one hour. I'd recommend visiting with kids, otherwise it's too simple for just adults to enjoy.

Brilliant place for kids, took my two daughters (5 and 7) they had a great time. The exhibits are all in Portuguese, but that didn't seem to phase them at all! Also a lovely spot near the river for a picnic lunch. Highly recommended!

Visiting from abroad, I'm not quite sure about all the offerings here but definitely great staff, very cool models of ancient machinery and - on top of all this - a pretty neat planetarium where you can enjoy multi media presentations. Looking good!

Lovely place for the whole family. Unfortunately when we visited the main exhibition was under construction but we explored the family lab.
