Nice place. I was looking for an authentic Portuguese cafe. This isn't it.more catered for the English . Cakes were nice though and staff were pleasant and polite

Excellent little patisserie. Good coffee and tea (and a few things a little stronger, if that's your thing). The cakes are the reason you'd want to come here - they are soooo good! Famed for their chocolate cake.

A very strange place with no menu and a very strange waiter that reminded me of an Indian Manuel. I asked if they had sandwiches "Yes".. So, what do you have "Ham & Cheese".. Ok, so do you have anything elss.. "Just Ham & Cheese".. I settled for Ham & Cheese in the end... So to summarize.. If you like Ham & Cheese roll and/or pastrie then this is the place to come.

The best hot chocolate that I had in Portugal (and I had A LOT) - it was almost like pudding! We had absolutely no problem with the staff although they were busy and they did take our credit card. We had chocolate cake, pastel de nata, OJ and hot chocolate (12 euros).

I always enjoy a coffee and cake at Pão & Pão when in Vilamoura. A cappuccino and pastel de nata is €5, while an espresso and pastel is somewhere around the €2.50 mark (can’t remember precisely). Only problem I have is that they don’t accept cards, and operate as cash only.

I will start by saying that I am a local and have been to this cafe a few times. My Portuguese isn't the best but I always make an effort to speak it. I never feel quiet welcome but since I live so close by, I have kept giving it a chance. Not anymore and definitely not again. First and foremost, they do not accept credit cards which isn't written anywhere and it definitely isn't communicated to you. I was with my dog and my baby which makes walking to the ATM a nightmare, and the minimum i could pull out the ATM was 100 euros! The owner seems very defensive in his responses to reviews, so let me not nitpick. Besides the forgetfulness of the staff, and literally having to beg to receive table service outside, I was shocked when I was charged 4 euros for a small cupcake! 4 euros! Their pastries have always been pricey, but nothing can excuse 4 euros for what looks like a store bought cupcake. There also isn't an excuse for not getting served when there were only 4 tables for Sunday lunch. There are several other bakeries near by I would recommend going to, where you will not feel like being a foreigner is a problem.

Strange to have such a cute place with such rude staff. No smiles, abrupt way of responding. It’s like they hate people. Rudely told me they don’t accept card payments despite no sign saying only cash. Horrible experience.

25 minutes for an orange Juice and toasts. Forgetting the orange juice, i didn’t wait more and went out of this abominable cafe.

I have been a client since many years. It used to be a good reference in Vilamoura, particularly for breakfast. Used to be .... It became hyper-expensive in this post-covid and inflation period. Furthermore the environment changed - better to eat very slowly if you don't want to be under preassure to leave the table. Every time you finish something someone pops up out of nowhere to take a cup or a plate asking if you 'finish'...try to have a conversation in a table of 6 ...When they manage to take stuff out of the table a cup or a plate at a time, then try to stay and finish a conversation ...there is preassure to leave and sometimes to consume again if you stay longer ... This seems to be a new technique I had not seen yet in Vilamoura. What a pity. Will not get back in there.

Charged €4.00 for a cappuccino that tasted like a milkshake. Could not get any hint of coffee. Glass was just full of milk froth. Didn't even sprinkle any chocolate on top. Bad coffee and very expensive!

Good bread and friendly service. Unfortunately the coffee is not great.
