Everything is about our experience... The story start like this, you arrive to Vilamoura which is beautiful and wonderful place for a calm holiday, drive until the Marina, which is the center of entertainment, restaurants, coffee,and of course to harbour boats,... , and Hotel vila Galé is there. There are a plenty area for parking, also hotel has its own limited parking which is not free 🤔, becareful that even for few minutes don't park on prevented places otherwise you get find as I got 😒. (To hotel, I am a guest and costumer, my bad experience at the first moment of my arrival to hotel could impact my whole assessment of hotel, I could not park car 1 km far from hotel and come with my luggage from far and I parked infront hotel in yellow area, I was hoping my check-in will be fast so I move the car fast to a better place, but I faced very long check-in which I believe parking officer happily waiting in that area for people like me to find us, I write my complane so you may take care of this issue to provide better experience to your costumers). However the accessibility of hotel is perfect, few steps to the beach, less than 5 minutes walk to marina, less than 1 min to bus and taxi stations, less than 1 min to casino🤑(don't like gambling but if you like it's so close), less than 5 min to the supermarket....it's really a perfect location. So now you arrive to hotel to check-in🥴hmmmmm a long long queue 😰, four staff in reception trying to handle the situation, and some others try to help them, but each guest get long time for check-in. I am not sure why, but it seems some guest doing long negotiations or having nice conversations with staff...hmmmm( dear helpful staff, when you see this long queue you just need to cover necessary tasks and leave to being tour guide for a better time).however I was in queue more that 75 minutes. Believe me, my check-in process took 5 minutes and I am still wondering why some people stood there more than 20 minutes 🤔. The Hotels in portugal ask you either the covid vaccination digital certificate or you need to do fast covid test. They will not deliver you key before the negative test. They take you to another room and an employee guide you for doing your test after 15 minutes your test result is valid and you may receive your key(good process 👏). Hotel has 10 floors with a lot of rooms and family suites . Some has balcony some does not. How ever they are clean and large with convincing facilities and commodities. Big comfortable bed, TV, enough table and chairs, safe, refrigerator, good bathroom, bidet, hairdryer, enough towels,... .the view of hotel is either to the sea or to the casino of vilamoura. I was happy with rooms. The only thing may be the rooms need, a cloth dryer. This is beach hotel, you come with your wet towels and you wish to dry them in your room. I don't like dry them on balcony as it look ugly. Hotel has restaurant, pool for adults and children, tennis field, children playing field, gym, spa, cafe, bar, socialising area, even cloth shop, life music at night , and.... Staff are so nice, helpful. ( thanks for their good work) And about the breakfast, it is very good. It's not fabulous for this hotel standards but very good. I always think why there is no fish or nuts for breakfast or why they has every day same thing. Or why some of foods such as mushroom is taste less. I can not say it was the best breakfast I ever had in a 4 stars hotel. The cooked foods are look like hospital foods. Ok lests be positive may be they try to offer most healthy food which remove all spices from it and make it taste less. And guys, please 🙏, you are in the region that produce best oranges of the world. Its a shame that in breakfast you offer artificial orange juice😖, really disappointing! I know that they offer lunch and dinner but normally I prefer to eat out of hotel so I will not comment on these. OK! The most important question, do I come back to this hotel for another holiday? Yes😊, why not. They are good , they could be improved🤓 but they are good.

Can't fault this hotel. Fantastic location right on the beach and right next to the marina (not noisy at all though). Staff friendly, rooms clean and great pool with bar. Really nice coffee shop out front and its own Italian restaurant. I'd definitely recommend this place we had a great time. Thanks to Tomas who makes a great mojito !

Hotels just can't do a, decent breakfast. Cereals were awful and couldn't find any cold milk for them. Rooms were very nice and a great position.

It is a horrible hotel. There is no kettle in rooms. One night a party was arranged in frınt of the hotel till 2 am. Another night, a group of people stayed my next room and they shouted during all the night. When I call the reception 3 times, they did not try to help me. Housekeeper of the room left the room door open after cleaning my room. Door keys were needed to be replaced every day. Very bad staying. Do not waste your money

Lovely hotel. Very clean. The rooms are a nice size. A lovely walk in shower in a good sized bathroom. Only 5 mins walk from the Marina. Well situated for all the golf courses around here. Recommended 😊

Bedrooms need an upgrade although they are spacious. Very basic toiletries provided. Breakfast was excellent and buffet dinner good. Facilities of hotel were excellent - 2 outdoor swimming pools and spa. Spa looked very nice but I didn't use it.

Pros: 1. Fantastic location. Marina a short walk and easy to access the beach too. 2. Quality service from reception staff through to bartenders, breakfast staff and cleaners.👏🏾 3. Scrumptious breakfast with variety... Club sandwich was also delicious!😊 4. Lovely superior room with sea view and balcony. Spacious and small kitchen area to warm food, prepare small meals, fridge freezer, cutlery and plates 👌🏾. Cons: 1. You have to book a time to use the indoor pool. 😳 2. The gym is accessed through the pool area. 🤔 3. Both indoor pool and spa had cool water. Overall: Will stay again. But not if pool is important for me to use. Will recommend 👍🏾.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this hotel and once again we had a great time . Fantastic location , the receptionist were very friendly on our arrival and helpful throughout . We forgot our pool / beach towels so it was no problem picking some up from the Spa . I notice on other reviews some did not rate the breakfast ?? Really ?? We disagree , the breakfast was really good , fresh fruit and yogurts , cheese and hams , fresh bread , cereals ( ok not branded but edible ) , cooked hot breakfast , we thoroughly enjoyed it . Our room was lovely , modern and clean . The cafe bar attached to the hotel serves food plus cold and hot drinks all day and it’s not too expensive . In the evening The hotel bar stayed open till 1am , so it was nice on our return to get a late night coffee or drink . All in all , excellent stay for us . 👍

Lovely hotel right by the beach and minutes walk from the marina. Spotlessly clean, modern hotel...Two outdoor and one indoor pool & a spa. Very good buffet breakfast. Friendly staff at the hotel & golf courses short drive away.

Amazing hotel right next to the beach, we were welcomed by Andre as soon as we entered the hotel. We booked the seaview room and were not disappointed- the beach could be seen from our balcony. The rooms were clean as was the pool and spa area. It seemed as though the hotel was regularly cleaned as we noticed staff cleaning the rooms throughout the day. Breakfast buffet had a good selection even for our dietary requirements (Halal)- there was alot of choice- cereals, croissants, tea, juice, yoghurts, eggs, other pastries, cheese and fruits. There's also a cafe and restaurant on the first floor. A big thank you to Andre who was always so polite and helpful! All in all we enjoyed our stay and will definitely recommend it to our family and friends.

I've been staying at this hotel on the algarve Portugal for the last couple of years great place close to the beach for a swim and great for playing some of the best golf courses ever particularly the old course staff very attentive and professional

It's a very good 4 star hotel in perfect location if you love beach. Beautiful views. Breakfast was just standard exactly what you expect. The area is lovely with busy marina close enough. Swimming pools are good although constantly occupied beds by... just towels! At one point( lunch time) there was only us at the kids pool but no free bed as all were reserved with towels. The main downside is close to none entertainment during the day or night not ideal for family holidays with kids so don't book if that's important for you.

Very nice hotel. We had a junior suite with a great view of the beach. We were travelling with 9month old baby so slightly different holiday. Staff were always so friendly. From the waiting staff at breakfast to the staff in pool bar (Carlos and Tomas) and the kids club I could not fault them. They were very friendly to us. Breakfast was very good. Loads of options. Fresh eggs and omelette were tasty. Helped to have a nice cafe onsite. Early wake up calls with the baby meant the coffee hit was always needed. Staff here were didn't come across as friendly however I think some hotel residents were not very respectful to them so I can understand why they didn't come across overly friendly as a result.

Stayed for 4 days for a wedding. Service was very good. Had an issue with my clothing and approached the reception for assistance. They found someone to help right away. Was very impressed with the quick thinking. Rooms were fine though could have done with an iron.

The hotel could do with a make over rooms could have been a bit cleaner no balcony so wasn't happy about it the reception staff were very nice and the restaurant staff very nice a lot of the hotel could have done with new wallpaper stains on it carpets not very clean but enjoy vilamouora beautiful

Great location only playing golf so didn't spend too much time in the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the room was spotless. Ideally suited for all your needs.Great hydro spa.

We had to stay here following a diversion from Madeiran due to bad weather. The staff were so kind and quickly checked us in; provided a delicious meal with wine; then organised a full breakfast for 3.30 am before we returned to the airport. Excellent!

Been twice now to stay here and enjoyed both visits. The hotel and rooms were clean. The staff were really helpful and friendly which makes everything easier. The breakfast selection was great too. The bar downstairs was reasonably priced and offered decent food too. The hotel is next door to the casino if that’s what you’re into. It’s right on the beach and less than 10mins walk into the marina where there’s loads of restaurants and bars. Went for the golf and the courses are easily accessible from here. Free transfers to most Vilamoura courses. Would stay here again.

This place is in a great location , right across from the beach. The staff were very friendly and the check in process was a breeze. The bar is good fun at night and the breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend the Vila Gale Ampalius to anyone staying in the area

Fabulous beachfront location. Walking distance to Marina with its many restaurants. Very nice hotel with welcoming staff. I would recommend here to anyone and hope to come back again soon.

Lovely hotel right on the beach. We had a superior room on the top floor with a big balcony and stunning views. We had a kitchenette, which was a bonus as we were not expecting it, which we was very useful. Extremely clean , new towels and bedding which was also changed mid week. The cleaners respected the 'do not disturb ' room sign as just recovering from cancer find I get tired in the afternoon and fall asleep. It helped with the bed and pillows being so comfortable, and I slept better than I had for weeks. Breakfast was a delight, plenty to choose from from a cooked breakfast to a selection of breads, rolls, croissants, and pastries to yoghurt and fruit. Even a lovely Asian lady with a friendly smile who cooked pancakes and eggs should you wish. Pity the waiting staff were offhand, they were only clearing tables but an occasional smile wouldn't of hurt them. Location could not of been better right next to the harbour and a bus stop outside that took you into Quarteira for free or Albufeira and Faro at a cost. It was the last week in November and very quiet but that was just what we wanted

Great location for enjoying Vilamoura and the surrounding golf courses. We are a group of 7 and the Vila Gale caters for us well. We have stayed there 5 or 6 times, with no complaints. There are two outside pools and a pool bar, as well as an indoor pool and spa. We always have hire cars but the hotel/ courses provide transport to and from the courses.

A farily average hotel if I am honest, 3 star at best never 4. Family focused so be prepare for quite a bit of noise. Bar only opens after 6 and breakfast was very average. Rooms were OK, pretty standard, no tea or coffee in the room.

Love this place. Great location being on the beach but only 200m from the marina with its bars and restaurants. Friendly staff and clean room add that extra bit to a stay. Been here four times now. Can't wait for the fifth.

This is a really nice hotel and the staff were excellent. We booked through Golf Travel, and the rooms we were given had no balconies. When we highlighted this to the reception, they immediately changed our rooms. Thank you.

Lovely spacious rooms I think each with kitchenette. Perfect if you don't mind a bit of self catering. If not there are plenty of places to eat within 5 minute walk. Hotel is located next to the beach and two minutes from Marina. Two adult pools and kids spalsh pool with slides do the job. Cafe and pizzeria on site. For nibbles during the day.

Horrible experience. We booked a ‘SeaSide view Suite’ were we couldn’t even see the sea, I would say it’s quality is not even near to a 3 star hotel. Everything in the room was broken, dirty and it is a low-class hotel. Quality of the breakfast was absolutely awful, probably one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve had. Parking was no even free for a 4 star hotel. Never coming back again and you shouldn’t ever visit it.

Amazing staff so so friendly and courteous, nothing is too much trouble... apartments are beautiful and well equipped with utensils and crockery. If you need a kettle just request one at reception. Will definitely be back. Food choices are great for breakfast and dinner. Thank you for helping to make a wonderful holiday 🥰🥰

Day 3 of our stay , fabulous hotel ,excellent staff ,all masked adhering to guidelines,very safe feel .breakfast is amazing ,huge choice ,kids luving fresh donuts,pastries,pancakes ,snd pozzas from on site italian restaurant .Great location on beach .highly recommend ,can't say enough positives about the hotel and staff .thankyou to all we are having a fantastic time .Will definitely be returning xx

4 star accommodation. 3 star service. 2 star breakfast. Rooms and hotel facilities were great. Well looked after. Rooms turned down most days. Cleaning staff should get a raise. Very hard workers. Marked down on service because reception staff friendly but upon check in we paid, got the key and that was it. Usually I expect a hotel to give you "the speech" eg you room is that way.. lifts are there.. WiFi is enabled by.. restaurants and pools are that way..nothing. it's not a small hotel. I'd recommend reminding foreigners of the local covid policies too. We got shouted at for not wearing Masks in the reception our first day despite being near no one else and in the furthest corner from anyone. A polite request was all it would have taken. We reported a broken sink plug in our room. (Couldn't take it out of the kitchen sink so we couldn't use that sink. We have now finished our holiday and the sink has not been fixed and we've had to wash our pots in the bathroom sink. It was reported 2 days ago to reception. Breakfast is 2 star. The "hot" choices are cold as soon as you put them on your plate. Quite often the food doesnt get refilled quickly. Sunday was particularly bad. We went at 9/9.15 and the juice/bread/2 coffee machines were out.. there was one toaster machine as the other was faulty. One machine per approx 100+ guests? the faulty machine was "on" and looked to be working so I stood there letting the machine work to be told by a passing female server "that's broken" and walk off. She left it on so no one else after me would know unless they tried it and found that it wasn't working. We only ate in the restaurant 3-4 times in our weeks stay. You can get a cooked breakfast at the marina from €5-7. Pools and loungers are nice. Reasonable prices for a hotel snack bar and drinks. Friendly bar staff. Recommend the sangria!

Terrific Hotel. Stayed for 10 days in June 2022 with my husband. Friendly staff, rooms very clean apart from no clean glasses replaced. Fab location regarding beach and Marina. Never had dinner here so no comment but breakfast was excellent. Bar at night and in-hotel entertainment is only let down for us. Not important though as huge bar/cocktails available in Marina. Very nice hotel with an exceptional location. A few broken items in the rooms, no toiletries, no irons (althougg they have laundry service- ao plan what you will be wearing). Nice restaurants and pools. Awful pillows

Badly managed in combination with poor service makes for a frankly very subpar experience. Check in which was meant to be at 3pm and room still not ready at 5pm (after doing an early check in at 10am), no effort to make up for this whatsoever. The pool was in a horrible unclean state on Sunday although it was cleaned the following days of my stay. Breakfast selection very poor and low quality (I saw a cockroach behind the egg station exiting the kitchen…). Outdated facilities, the only pro of this hotel is the location

It does the job for a golf weekend, wouldn't bring the mrs though, breakfast is mediocre, pool basic, location is good though
