I walked the blotevoetenpad with my 4 yo and 5 yo kids. Walking barefoot sometimes hurts, and that was too much for the youngest. I was reluctant to pay to walk around in mud, but kids got a lot of entertainment for the small entry fee. It took us 2 hours for the walk, although it's only 3 kilometers long ! Prepare accordingly... You can clean your feet afterward. Bring a towel to dry them as well as 1€ coins for the locker.

Nice place for a walk in the woods. We did a wonderful walk on green route, it was around 6,5 km by GPS, despite 5 km was written on the map. However it is really good place to chill out, listen to the birds, lay down on the grass and so on. Route crossing some public roads, and there are some fenced private property along your walk. There is no toilet on the walk, only in visitors center, and there is no any garbage bin, so this can be improved. There are some benches on the way (3 to be precise), so you can take a rest. Majority of forest is pines, so it give you nice smell under sunshine. For sure will be back to have longer walk. Nice place as much as any other hoge kempen places.

Family outing for young and old. Very fun parcour and afterwards your feet and silky smooth! Recommendation for everyone. ps. dont skip the smelly mud. justdoit.

We really enjoyed the entomology museum, but we did expect to see more living insects. But still learned a bit about the insects and the world.

Bare feet experience

The "barefoot path" is really fun to do (when the weather is good) - even for adults without kids! The lady selling tickets was not very service-minded (we had to insist to be able to pay with our Sodexo Culture Vouchers) but the place is otherwise great. The self-service restaurant is a great place to have a drink or an ice cream afterwards: it is reasonably priced and has a large outdoor terrace.

We had a lovely visit. Have bin here a few times and I can see they change some things, that's nice to see. Further we visited the insect museum, it wasn't so special. But did folk in a good hour. I would recommend go here for a lovely day, especially in the summer.

Excellent place. The bare feet trail is wonderful, the insects museum full with nice experience and a good Cafe with friendly service. The house of the ants and their labyrinth were just great!
