I enjoyed every step I walked through the park and the fort. Lots of interesting things in one place. I admired every monument and exhibited combat equipment. I did not visit the military museum because I arrived a little late, the working hours are until 4 p.m. But I will definitely turn it around again. Everything is tidy, clean, the grass has been mowed and you can’t find thrown waste on the trail or lawn. I am very pleased with how they maintain the park. Beautiful view of the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers. As a tourist, I am thrilled. If you are passing through the city of Belgrade, then place it on Kalemegdan. You wont regret.

Since living nearby, this has become my favourite spot for long walks. I love how it's enjoyed by both locals and tourists no matter the season. If you are visiting Belgrade, it's not to be missed.

🍀Where better to start than the glorious capital city, Belgrade? Kalemegdan is the highlight of any trip to the city, the famous fortress enveloping the finest park in the city and hiding museums and monuments within it. The capital’s most romantic spot is found here♥️, along with centuries of conflict and tumult. No trip to the capital is complete without checking out Kalemegdan.🌅

A lovely park that is located on a hill right next to the Danube river. Here you may see one of the most historic places in Belgrade, the Belgrade fortress. From this park, you may also continue your walk to the nearby Knez Mihailova Street.

Old fortress located up on a hill in the middle of a huge park. Very well preserved overlooking the river, you can immediately parse its strategic location. Entrance is free except for a couple of towers which require Rs100 tickets from what I understood from the sign.

Kalemegdan Park is a historical and cultural monument in Belgrade located on a high cliff at the junction of the Danube and Sava river. The current park is build on the remains of the ancient Belgrade fortress. Be sure to visit the park, as, though you will be joined by tourists and Belgrade citizens, it's a beautiful place for a relaxing walk at a historical important surrounding. And the views over New Belgrade and the two rivers are wonderful. Please like this review if found useful. Thank you.

Great park, full of history and natural scenery. Ideal for walks around ancient walls and for taking in the best view of the city. There's also a collection of actual artillery used in the great wars. Definitely to be included during your visit in Belgrade. For a small fee you can also visit the underground shelters.

A very interesting park full of history. I personally adore fortresses and walls. An open-air war museum and many souvenir stands. You can play chess with the locals. For children, Jurassic Park and Luna Park. I recommend that you walk through Kalemegdan through the pine trees.

One of the most iconic and historical places in Belgrade. You can visit the fortress for free, there is a park, clock tower, a church, a small chapel and a torture museum inside. Only the torture museum is paid. You can get to see the beautiful city of Belgrade from the fortress.

One of the symbols of Belgrade is this fortress with breathtaking river and city views. I have only visited this fortress at night and I absolutely loved it. It’s a brilliant place to spend a couple of hours whether you are a history buff or just looking for a leisurely stroll.

The most beautiful and biggest park in Belgrade, at the same time is the most important cultural and historical complex. Where dominated by the Belgrade fortress above the mouth of Sava in the Danube. The complex of the Belgrade Fortress consists of the Upper Town, the Lower (or Water) City and the Kalemegdan Park. The upper town is the heart of the fortress, the last defense of Belgrade and the place where the commanders of the city lived. This is a nice place to relax, where the atmosphere is beautiful. In the Upper Town is located, Memorial winner, Great or Roman fountain, faucet Mehmed Pasha Sokolovic, Karađorđeva gate, Inner Stambol gate, there are the Military Museum, the Art Pavilion "Cvijeta Zuzorić", the City Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments, a Zoo, a children's entertainment park, and a number of sports courts and good restaurants. The view from the Belgrade fortress to the mouth of the river Sava, the panorama of Sremska and Banat plains, as well as the mountains of Šumadija, leaves no one indifferent to anyone. It is worth visiting and enjoying the rich history of Kalemegdan.

You enjoy the wonderful view. The whole area is clean, people go for a walk, for the view or to lie down under the trees. It is not at all tiring to walk up from the park to the fortress. But there is also a train that leaves the park and takes a long ride, to the fortress and the park. It's very cheap and it's a cute ride.

Great place filled with history that should be visited if close to Belgrade. Loads of activities and we'll organized. From the monastery to the military museum or the torture museum, even the Roman Well or just stroll around the fortress it is great. I would avoid middle of the day during summer due to lack of shade and the heat but there are trees in certain regions. Go for it, great place to visit and learn about the local history

One of the highlights of Serbia, and a must visit in Belgrade. It has a good structure of the old castle but also nice scenery for a good walk, specially when if it is not raining and there is sunshine. Might be muddy when raining so wear a good boot. There is a couple of nice cafes at the entrance that can be good for traditional Serbian Coffee.

Nice place to walk but s little bit overrated, well if you are interested I archeological history, then this is your place, the entrance is free, a lot of gifts sellers are there, negotiating is essential.. enjoy it as much as you can , check the riverside view as well

Amazing for taking pictures and exploring, there are many areas not even the locals know about. Also, a great place to bring foreigners for a walk and to learn about Belgrade's history

Kalemegdan, the Belgrade fortress, is a very important landmark, a must see for any visitor of the Serbian capital. It has an enormous historical value since it's been an important military facility for Serbs, Turks and Austrians and each of them left their mark in the architecture. The fortress is quite intriguing both above and below the ground - there is a true maze of underground passages and halls.

Nice, relaxing park surrounding the fortress in Old Town Beograd (Belgrade). Especially pretty on the winter evening (Dec 2021) when I was wandering through. I’m sure it’s equally pretty in the summer. Worth a visit/ stroll

Historic fort which is centuries old at a point where two rivers meet. One can sit on the walls to enjoy a sunset. This is one of the best experiences in Belgrade that one can do without shelling out much. A military museum, public observatory, zoo, planetarium, great parks to laze around etc. Perfect place to spend half a day or more. Located within a 5 min walk from the city Center it’s a must visit tourist place.

Historical location, great park and amazing event place! Kalemegdan is a great choice for afternoon walk with or without kids. It has a magnificent view on Sava and Dunav. Withing park, there are some of historical points of interests like the old Roman well and Zindan-gate. If you get tired, you can always buy coffee in nearby caffes.

Perfect date place, so many benches where you can rest while watching Belgrade from above. Sunsets like nowhere else. At night it can be crowded especially in summer. It’s 1 place in Belgrade that must be seen

Beautiful park with many attractions from the Fortress to the military museum, torture museum, dinosaur park, statues... There is so much to see. Sadly some of the attractions open a little late for example the torture museum opened at around 11.15 am.

One of the main must see attractions in Belgrade. You get a nice view of the city and the rivers. It is free for everyone, although they have some open galleries which you need to pay for. They do not accept credit/debit cards, only Serbian dinars in cash. The place is pretty big, so you can easily spend more than an hour and a half here.

One of the must visit place in Belgrade! It's a huge area consisting of fortress, a massive park, a zoo, dino park, military museum, war machines and much much more... We can just wander around this great place to enjoy in wonderful nature and historical monuments. Above all, it's totally free to enter and explore although some galleries are there with a payment.

One of the most beautiful and popular spots in Belgrade. The entry is free and the park is huge to visit, it took us like 3 hours. Inside is full of souvenir stands and bars to chill out a little bit. 100% worth visiting.

We were on a walking tour, which took us through the park and into the castle, which could be accessed by anyone as there is no entrance fee. Lovely park with tennis and basket ball courts, pretty gardens and fantastic panoramic views from way up high.

I don't know how is it possible to rate this park lower than 5 start⚜️. It's an amazing huge recreation area, full of greenery, taken well care of. There are various sightseeing spots on the territory of the park. The view over the city and Danube River itself deserves 5 starts, let alone other worth-seeing spots. For those fancy of a leasure walk and sips in between walking, there are a number of cafes inside and just right next to park. For those who are inclined toward history and exploring - brows through museums, galleries, monuments, etc.

Lovely walk, beautiful views both on the river banks and the old fortress, park. Got a really good takeaway cappuccino on the street stand. There are museums, restaurants, Belgrade Zoo, bars, and sports courts. Not crowded in the evenings, great place for relaxing just across Knez Mihailova street/city centre.

Old fortress, destroyed and rebuilt many times, a great place to stroll around and enjoy some great views. There is an open exhibition of vintage major military hardware, sport facilities, kids dino-park, and in the evenings a public astronomic observatory (that one Fri/Sat only). Place is a must for anyone visiting Belgrade.
