My wife and I took our two kids (16 and 11) to this resort in June of 2022 and I can honestly say it was one of the most amazing experiences I've had. The resort is absolutely incredible. The area and the people of Hopkins are wonderful, and of course, Belize is a beautiful and unique country. That being said, the experience you get at this resort is second to none. From the moment you book, to the approach to the resort, the staff helps guide you there by booking any additional LOCAL travel you may need, being understanding of any travel issue you may encounter etc. Once you get there, you are greeted with smiling faces each and every encounter. The food is delicious and the staff knows your allergies each time you sit down for a meal. The adventures are incredible and the guides are all unique and give their own history and personality to the experience. My wife are coming back just the two of us as soon as possible and have committed to get the kids here again every 5 years. I miss the Hamanasi crew already! Do yourself a favor and get out to meet these amazing people that will make sure to make the most of your experience in Belize.

We had heard about Hamanasi before and knew it would be a wonderful place....but this resort far exceeded our high expectations and it is the best of the best! We stayed at the resort for a week in one of their Tree Houses. The first impression you have of the resort is quiet, calm with the sound of birds, the ocean and peace. The staff is beyond friendly and they will do and did anything and everything we needed. From the check-in process, to the activity scheduling, to dining to relaxing the Hamanasi experience was 5 stars and rivals anything you would get from a luxury resort. All of the activities whether you are interested in the Mayan history, water activities, hiking are lead by knowledgable guides who want to give you an experience....no just a tour. The staff make it a point to know your name and they do it in a way that is not intrusive...they anticipate what you might need. The food is amazing, and the chef creates wonderful dishes that use ingredients grown on the resort and that are local to Belize....there was nothing on the menu that was not delicious. The accommodations were wonderful and our tree house was amazing. From the 4 poster mahogany bed, to the hammock on the deck to the sounds of nature going to sleep and waking up...Hamanasi is a magical place. We will definitely go back and can't say enough about the Hamanasi team. One of the best places we have ever stayed in the world!!!

On my first trip to Belize, Hamanasi was the perfect place to stay! The staff consistently went above and beyond to make the stay memorable, from personalized notes and interactions to leading interesting and well-organized excursions! There are endless options for customizing the stay of each person of the group's interests. The diving trip and jungle excursion were my two favorite parts- both were well organized and had very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well designed, and all of the meals had FANTASTIC options! Highly recommend!

Outstanding. We have visited Hamanasi twice over the last year for diving, snorkeling, and day adventures. Both times have been great experiences in a very relaxing setting. The entire staff are friendly and helpful, and clearly have a pride in working at Hamanasi. The food is top-notch with each of the servers making the effort to know your name, and in some cases even remember what you like! I have been diving around the Caribbean for many years and cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism and knowledge of the dive team, the quality of the equipment, and their focus on safety and service. We met a number of people during our stay who were also repeat customers of Hamanasi. It’s very easy to see why. We are already planning to return.

Hamanasi Resort in Belize is a one of a kind experience. The staff go above and beyond to make your experience magical. The excursions are breath taking and the guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. You can truly tell that the staff love what they do. The grounds are extremely well kept and each day is another day in paradise. My family loved our experience and would happily come back. I could rattle off 20 names of staff members that made our vacation so special. Great work to the Hamanasi team!

Hamanasi was the most perfect resort! From the staff to the facilities, to the adventure offerings on BOTH sea and land, my family of 5 could not recommend this resort enough! (My kids are 15, 13 and 9 respectively!) And even if you aren't divers, don't think you wouldn't enjoy this experience! The snorkeling is amazing too! Most notable was the excellent staff at Hamanasi! Their number one concern is making sure your are having the BEST time, and they will check in frequently throughout your stay to make sure of that!!! Book Hamanasi now - you won't regret it!!!

The room was beautiful and clean. The grounds are well taken care of. Every single staff member was so nice and accommodating. The food was absolutely amazing. I think I gained weight from eating so much good food! I love that they are eco friendly. Check out the rooftop view where my boyfriend proposed!! I recommend for a special occasion to book the private dinner on the beach because it is very romantic. Also the beach front cabanas are fabulous, but definitely get a tree house room for at least a night if you can because they are dreamy and you get a whole house with an outdoor jacuzzi! We hope to go back to Hamanasi again soon.

We just flew home from our wonderful 6 day vacay to Hamanasi Resort in Belize and I couldn’t recommend this place more!! We took our 2 grown daughters along with one of their fiances and our 11 year old son. All had the BEST time!! We rang in the New Year last night and it was an amazing experience. The resort itself was immaculately kept and the staff was super friendly and attentive. Each server would learn our names and remembered all of them for our entire stay. The adventures we chose were unique and so amazing. The guides for each of the adventures were so knowledgeable and entertaining. We felt super safe and well taken care of. Highly recommended Hamanasi for a fun adventure filled vacation.

Hamanasi was the most perfect experience. It was clean, the staff were AMAZING, and the whole experience was above and beyond my expectations. The food was delicious. I was in awe at the attention to detail from each and every person who works at Hamanasi. That is what makes Hamanasi special - everyone there is working to make sure your whole experience is fabulous. And it was! Highly recommend.

We just returned from Hamanasi and can't wait to get back! What an amazing property and staff! It really was the best vacation we have had in a long time. We had so much fun on all the adventures and diving excursions, loved the food, and are missing our new friends we made at Hamanasi and in Hopkins. See you soon!

My husband and I had a fabulous stay at Hamanasi Resort. ALL of the staff went out of their way to make sure our visit was everything we wanted. However, we really appreciated Kenya (adventure center), Cordelia (housekeeping), and Freddie (bar). They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. Management checked in with us to make sure we were happy with our accommodations and service. All of our excursions were top rate. Go, enjoy, make memories!

The staff at this resort is what sets this place apart. The staff all treat you with much respect. The location is beautiful, all of the adventures are well done, and you won't be disappointed. We travel a lot, and see many high end resorts across the world. This place easily made our top 3 and we will be back. My most sincere thanks to everyone at Hamanasi and I look forward to visiting again very soon.

Jen & Ken Room 10. Stayed November 27th-December 4th Home from our vacay in Belize and words nor pictures can even come close to expressing how amazing it all was. We will absolutely be going back at some point. Our resort, Hamanasi adventure & dive resort was rated number 1 in Belize and it lived up to those standards and more. The customer service was above and beyond and their customer relations was second to none, with all the staff, from sand rakers up to office staff and tour guides and everyone in between. It made for a very special environment that I will never forget. On top of it, we met some of the most amazing, like minded people that I’ll never forget and hope to forge long lasting friendships with. It felt like a community of friends you have known forever, including with the staff, which made it that much more special. On top of it, the different excursions they offer are very diverse and all of them are truly a one of a kind experience. We did the magical Mayan history tour, took the specialty tour to Guatemala to visit the Tikal Mayan ruins also, did river canoeing and also snorkeling and all of those were incredible! Next time we go, we are gonna put on our big girl panties and get our divers certification and do some dives as well as some zip lining and some of the cave excursions. If you ever are in search of a vacation destination, I highly encourage you to go visit Belize and stay at Hamanasi. Even if you spend your last dime, I promise you it’ll be money you will never regret spending. It was an experience of a lifetime, so much so, we are already talking of plans of going back and I had zero intention of traveling to the same place twice, but it’s just THAT good! Also, while you’re there, go visit the Garimaya gift shop down the road. We thoroughly enjoyed the shop itself and the owner was an absolute delight. Both my husband and I loved his whole vibe and open and friendly personality. Also, ask him to sing for you. He’s WONDERFUL!

Hamanasi goes the extra mile to make sure each guest has the experience they want. Their staff was always at the ready to help with anything we wanted to needed, which made it a truly grand experience. The food is amazing, the excursions are fun, and the relaxation is impeccable. The guides take a personal interest in guest enjoyment, which really made the trip all the better. I was able to secure my Open Water Diver certification on this trip, and the diving they offer here is just impeccable. There is not a single thing I would change about Hamanasi!

I spent one week here, primary goal was to get some deep sea diving done. This place met all my needs. The rooms were large, spacious and well equipped. This is an all-inclusive resort. The food was outstanding. It was not a typical all inclusive buffet, but it was à la carte and the choices were different everyday. The chefs were also very accommodating to modify the recipe for your palet. What stood out for me The most was the service by the staff. Every staff member knew the guest by the first name. They were very responsive to your needs. The dive center was also excellent with very good instructors. Big Daddy, France , Evan and the others were amazing. Unfortunately the see life was average and a little disappointing. But that is nature and a good part of this change is due to us human beings The resort has multiple activities including hiking, birding , tubing etc etc. My focus was diving and birding. I went out one morning for birding trip which I absolutely enjoyed and saw a whole variety of birds. The guide was excellent. Bottom line: highly recommended. Will go back.

Hananasi was a wonderful experience - beautiful cabins, quiet, peaceful and lovely grounds, welcoming staff, and a wide variety of activities. The service was world class, despite the modest size of the resort, and everyone went out of their way to solve our problems and ensure that we each had the best trip ever. If you're a scuba diver, the dive masters are terrific and the operations all top notch. Only issue is that if there aren't enough divers they don't go out -- Hamanasi's location is far from other dive shops so there is no alternative, and you lose the day.

Hamanasi is simply the best! Whether you are looking for an adventure, relaxation, or both, you will find it at this wonderful resort. The staff take care of every detail including transfers from the international airport in Belize City. The food is wonderful, the rooms are spacious, clean and unique, and the staff are warm, friendly, and competent. Scuba dive in the morning, enjoy a sumptuous lunch of fresh, local, food, and go for a night hike in the jaguar preserve. The options are endless! Do yourself a favor and book a trip to Hamanasi.

Absolutely top notch. The service, the food, the adventures - can't say enough good things about this peak vacation experience. The team at Hamanasi does more than just anticipate your every need and respond personably, they set a way cool, way chill, way joyful vibe that permeates the atmosphere. The other guests that we met all agreed and everyone had an incredible time.

My vacation at Hamanasi was sooo incredible. We stayed in the tree house and it was absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship was so fantastic and so noticeable. You could really notice the staff being so good and taking such good care of the resort. The perfect place to learn how to scuba dive. The dive trips were ran super smooth and our instructor Terill was very knowledgeable. This place gets an A+ on just about everything.

Hands down the most amazing resort! The staff are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond to make the stay fantastic. The property and rooms (went with my mother so able to see two different spaces), all had unique details, were clean, comfortable and wonderful to return to at the end of the day. The adventure / tours were very interesting, due in large part to the knowledge and experience of the guides. You cannot go wrong staying here, and if you are suffering burnout from work, I cannot recommend a stay here strongly enough to allow you to unplug and recenter!

I can't begin to say enough good things about the resort, the staff, the people of Hopkins. Everything was awesome. The food, the atmosphere, all of it. My husband and I went for a late honeymoon (30 years after the wedding!) and were treated so well. The adventures that we booked had great guides and all were very conscientious of how we were doing and if it met our expectations. I have a gluten allergy and they went above and beyond to help with that. I would go again in a heart beat.

Hamanasi is one of, if not the best resorts of any kind that I have had the pleasure to visit. I have been all over the world and have been fortunate enough to stay at some really nice places, but Hamanasi takes the prize for being the only resort we have gone to multiple times. Earlier this month we came back from our third straight Hamanasi vacation in as many years! That pretty much says it all in my mind. In fact, we have already booked our 2024 Hamanasi adventure so there you have it….

This was our 2nd trip to Hamanasi and certainly won't be our last! The staff here is phenomenal! They make you feel like family. The resort also is a great example of pairing tourism with sustainability and integration into the local society. The Hamanasi crew has created a tropical paradise that offers many adventurous and educational experiences in this vibrant and beautiful country.

The resort does it all perfectly. The rooms are spacious with mahogany furniture crafted right on site. The rooms are quietly nestled in the jungle and decorated with with soft tropical touches. There is remotely controlled AC. They are eco-friendly when it comes to water and paper use. All guests get a reusable water bottle and they use cloth napkins and bamboo straws. They compost everything for use in the on-site garden. The adventure center offers a variety of marine and inland adventures. The guides, like all Hamanasi employees, are local and knowledgeable about the history and flora and fauna of Belize. All in all, it was a dream vacation which I would recommend to any traveler who wishes to combine adventure with luxury.

Fantastic experience at Hamansi in Belize. The trip exceeded expectations. The location just outside of Hopkins is idyllic. The staff and guides are knowledgeable, extremely friendly and helpful. The accommodations were first class. The snorkeling and diving has to be some of the best in the world. We could not have chosen a better place to take our family.

This was our second visit to Hamanasi in 10 months and we can’t say enough good things about this place. First, the staff are AMAZING! They make you feel like family when you’re there. They pay attention to so many little details and go above and beyond to make each encounter with them remarkable. The resort is stunningly manicured and maintained. The rooms are so comfortable. And the adventures are so much fun! From diving, snorkeling, hiking, cave tubing, and anything your heart desires, the amazing team at Hamanasi does everything in their power to make it all magical. We travel pretty regularly with our kids and this is one of the very few places we always want to keep coming back to - it’s a special place and I’m so glad we discovered it! Can’t wait to go back a third time!

Hamanasi provided the best resort experience we have ever had. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attuned to our individual needs. The grounds, rooms and beach were beautiful. The adventures were fun. And the food was incredible.

We wanted to the stay at the hamanasi, but the rooms were all sold out, so we had to stay down the road….. Needless to say, on one of walks on the beach, we were very kindly welcomed in by Juan to enjoy the Hamanasi grounds. We ended up booking dinner at the hotel and it was amazing!!! The cornbread, the atmosphere, the service (by Areinie), the drinks and the meal were all incredible! We ended up going back (each day) that we spent in Hopkins. It is a delightful, well run property. Would highly recommend! It was definitely our best meal in Hopkins!

Hamanasi epitomizes the idea of hospitality. The entire staff from reservations to the guy raking the beach are very attentive and100% invested in making sure every guest is completely satisfied and feels that their stay in Hopkins is perfect. The restaurant is amazing, never a bad meal...in fact every meal we had was perfectly prepared and delicious. The adventure center provides one of a kind experiences and cater to everyone's comfort/activity level. I can't wait to visit again!

My husband and I stayed at the Hamanasi for the first part of our honeymoon, and what an experience it was! The resort is so gorgeous! We stayed in one of the treehouse suites, and it was absolutely spectacular. It felt so secluded and private, we were surrounded by beautiful trees and greenery on all sides! The food at the resort was just wonderful, the rotating menu was delicious for every single meal. What drew us to the Hamanasi the most was all of the excursions and adventures they offer; we loved every single one we went on! The snorkeling trip we went on was incredible, and the guides on all of our adventures were awesome! We also loved the several resident cats that live at the resort :) I cannot recommend the Hamanasi enough!

Our stay at the Hamanasi was absolutely incredible. There are not enough words to describe how perfect this place is. The scenery was breath taking. It was peaceful and tropical. All that you want in a vacation with the accommodation of a resort. We felt like royalty. Amazing service.

Visited for dinner one night and staff were absolutely fantastic. Lovely dinner and wonderful setting. When the rain poured, they insisted on providing us with towels and driving us to our own lovely resort down the street. We were so appreciative and impressed! We called to make reservations for dinner another night during our stay—no answer on multiple attempts. We walked up instead as we had on the prior night. The restaurant greeted us warmly and served us a wonderful meal. On our way out, management stopped us and confronted us for not having a reservation and indicated we should not have been there. (We were dressed beautifully and had just spent significant money.) Odd that they were willing to accept our money but wanted to assert some sense of power after the fact. Disappointed by the experience.

My husband and I have vacationed at Hamanasi 5 times. We love this amazing resort. The accommodations are superb, the food is delicious and healthy and all the staff and adventure leaders are knowledgeable, caring and fun. Looking forward to returning and bringing more family and friends with us!
