King David was responsive and a clear communicator. We had a few days left in Belize after visiting San Pedro/Caye Caulker so his local knowledge was extremely valuable to plan our last few days. He picked us up at the ferry port in Belize City in his vehicle. His vehicle had plenty of space for two (and our backpacks) with reclining seats to relax during long journeys. David drove us to San Ignacio where he arranged for us to join an ATM Cave tour which was absolutely incredible. In San Ignacio, we also visited the Green Iguana Conversation Project and Xunantunich. The Xunantunich experience with David surpassed our visit to Chichen Itza, Mexico. David took us early in the morning so we were one of the only visitors - we could really enjoy the site to ourselves and climb at our own lesuire. After San Ignacio, we wanted to visit Orange Walk as we heard from multiple people that this was the best place to celebrate Independence Day. Orange Walk was completely rammed and there was no accommodation available, except for one room at Hilda's Hotel. Note, Hilda's Hotel is not listed online so we knew it was a gamble. It was like a prison cell with all the towels and bedding covered in stains. The roof was corrugated metal with white paint which was flaking on us as we slept. There were several cracks in the wall where bugs and cockroches crept through. We really wanted to stay for the celebrations so we looked passed all of this until we realised we could not lock our door, leaving us concerned about our belongings and personal safety. The owner of Hilda's insisted that he would be manning the hotel entrance over night. This was not the case. King David used his local connections (friends and family) to see if there were any alternative rooms available and managed to find a cancellation elsewhere. King David tried to see if he could give us a refund and took photos of the room to report Hilda's Hotel. David and his family went over and above to help us out. It showed us that he really takes extreme ownership and responsibility of his guests. Not only does he make sure guests are having a great time but, more importantly, ensures they are safe and secure.

King David Tours picked us up at the cruise ship port in Belize City, and gave us a private tour of Altun Ha. Learning the history of these beautiful Mayan ruins made for a wonderful day! Thank you to our tour guide, Jacob, he made it an extraordinarily great day by patiently answering all of my inquisitive sons questions! We finished the day by stopping at a local restaurant near the ruins for a wonderful lunch! 5 stars! If you want a tour customized to exactly what you want to see and do, I highly recommend hiring King David the next time you are in Belize!

I came across King David tours searching Google just couple days before our trip. David is very helpful and professional, he navigated us through different activities and provided with the best tour guide, Orlando, for the ATM tour, which was a new experience for us and we absolutely loved it. He also advised how to get to Caracol and shared contacts in San Pedro for scuba diving and snorkeling tours, as well as return transfer from the water ferry to the airport, so we felt comfortable getting back home. I highly recommend King David Tours to get the most positive experience while traveling to Belize. Thank you, David!

We had a phenomenal day trip with David to the Mayan ruins of Xunantunich followed by cave tubing. David‘s passion for his Mayan anchestors and his deep knowledge of the history & nature of Belize made our time together incredibly interesting, fun and insightful. Overall can‘t recommend the experience and David as a local guide highly enough - thank you for an amazing day David! Alex

Great experience with my family of four. My teen girls and us were enthralled by David’s passion for his people, the history of Belize and humanity in general. Not to mention he was equally good in physically maneuvering us all together in tubes thru the caves and setting up expert guides at the zip line. He also made sure we had a good breakfast and lunch and made arrangements to cater for our needs ( wife is vegetarian, daughter is vegan, other daughter doesn’t like seafood! 🙄😂) truly a wonderful guide and experience that’s unique and personalized. Get him as your guide!

King David was prompt and professional. He knows the history of his country and feels honored to be able to share your 1st experience with him. Our tour consisted of the Mayan Ruins and also cave tubing. King David also took us to local family owned restaurant. The food was delicious 😋. King David is very conscious of covid 19 rules and regulations. I felt extremely safe and comfortable during my excursion. I highly recommend him as your tour guide to Belize 🇧🇿

We got in touch with King David months before our trip and he customized our whirlwind 28 hours in Belize City (mainland) with EVERYTHING we wanted to do. And it was a lot! From a friendly smile at pick up at Belize City airport, to a spacious van (for the 5 of us) plus his driver, Roger, and wife, Maria! She happened to be on vacation from her job and got to spend time with us, which we loved! We drove up to Lamanai right away to begin that tour. David had drinks in the van and told us a lot of history on the drive up. A scenic jungle cruise tour/boatride for 45 minutes and then we were at Lamanai. What history ... and David explains it all so you don't have to spend your whole day reading all of the signs. A personal narrator was great! After we'd climbed the Mask Temple, High Temple and were walking to the Jaguar Temple .... we heard howler monkeys. David spotted them right away and we were able to get some good video ... it was creepy and awesome and thrilling all at once. Unforgettable! We drove down to San Ignacio for the night and David took us out for the traditional Belizean meal, which was sweet chicken, rice/beans, plantains, potato salad at Hode's Place. It was so good .... After a good night's sleep, we headed out early to Xulan Tunich for more Mayan ruins. You cross a river on a hand-cranked barge ... amazing! He had all of the history to go with the tour which we loved. We then drove an hour for a ziplining tour - 6 lines, fast and high -- thrilling! We then did cave tubing which was awesome, then an hour drive up to the zoo as we wanted to meet Junior and Lucky Boy. The Zoo is a collection of rescued and rehabilitated wildlife ...so beautiful and such great rescue stories. All of this crammed into 28 hours with David ... and it was perfection. It never felt rushed, we always got the full history at the locations and more while we were driving. He gave us a Belize 101 lesson which was fascinating. David is always in contact with you before the trip to ensure all is planned as you want it. His prices are half of what the tour out of our resort would've been, and most of all, he is just a great guy. We consider David, Maria & Roger family and friends now. We will be back to spend more time with them. Don't miss your chance to do so when you visit Belize! You will not be disappointed.

Our group of seven used King David Castillo of AlTourNative Belize Services and went toured Altun Ha Ruins while on a cruise with a port stop at Belize. I found that being a tour operator for (King) David Castillo is not just a job. He shared his love of the culture and helped immerse our family in it's history. Our family unanimously decided that this was our best tour of the entire trip. David was thorough, but never were we bored. He would explain the "why" of what we were looking at not just ramble off dates or this is "blank" sight. David's correspondence was always very prompt. He always followed up on any emails that were sent. I did find out that facebook messenger is even easier to contact him than email. Very clear directions on when and where to meet were given. He even shows up with his crown so you can't miss him, and everyone knows him there. You can't go wrong with touring with this man. We did the Altun Ha ruins, but I would happily in a heart beat tour to any of the other sights with him. Altun Ha is the perfect choice if you are doing a cruise stop. The price we paid (truly) was not enough. He ***should*** charge more than he does. Give David a call, email, or FB messenger and set up a tour. You won't be disappointed!!!!!!!!! We walked away with a new friend in Belize.

We have had the opportunity to do 2 tours with David while in Belize. He is a great communicator and will customize a tour to what you want to do with your time. He remains flexible with plans throughout the day to ensure you spend your time the way you want, never rushing you. I would highly recommend contacting him if you plan to spend any time in Belize. It is a beautiful country with a rich history. David explains it all to you as he takes you on the tour. Don't miss a great day in Belize with King David!

I found out about King David Tours through a google search, and actually cancelled a previously booked tour to be able to go through him instead. He was able to accommodate a last minute tour for my husband and I. We came to Belize on a cruise and were able to easily find him outside the port. We did the Altun Ha / Baboon sanctuary combo tour and had a great time. David made us comfortable and taught us so much. You can tell he’s proud of his country and his Maya background. He had a ton of facts and information for us throughout the car ride and at the ruins. He made sure we arrived before the big tour busses so we had the entire ruins to ourselves. He made sure to provide us with water, sodas and candy throughout the day to ensure we were hydrated and had our sugars up. He also made sure to accommodate our food needs at the local restaurant - he ordered me a vegetarian dish and got my husband the ‘royal rat’ to try in addition to his meal. He was very conscious about the time to ensure we arrived about 2 hours before our cruise was set to debark. Even with this, we did not feel rushed at all, and he made sure to leave proper time for everything we wanted to do and even some souvenir shopping. This was our first time traveling out of the country together and Kind David made us feel safe, welcomed, and gave us a great experience. Prices are super fair and well worth it to get a private guide and a personalized experience. If we ever return to Belize we will definitely be booking with him again, as well as recommending him to others. Listen to all the 5 star reviews and book with Kind David if you’re planning on visiting Belize!

If you are looking for something fun to do in Belize, consider booking cave tubing with King David! I am currently on the boat and many people wanted to do cave tubing but the larger companies said we didn’t have enough time at the port (we arrived around 9ish and the last tender back was 3:30p) We reserved our spots with David a few weeks ago. Since only my boyfriend and I reserved spots, it was a private tour. We got off the boat as quickly as we could in the morning and when we got off the boat David was already waiting for us. It is about an hour drive + 30 minute hike to the caves. It was 100% worth it. Since it was a private tour, we got to ask David everything and anything about Belize. The tour was awesome, lunch was included and the price was VERY reasonable. David got us back to the boat with ample time. We had such a fun day 🇧🇿❤️

This is my second time with King David , I trust him to make sure we get to see everything we want and get back to the ship on time , we went to drop off school supplies to a local school which is the highlight of our vacation, then cave tubing and lunch on the way back. He is able to make each quest feel special and adapt to any special needs, my friend and I are overweight and he was very patient and understanding of our needs . He made our day special and a cherished memory forever. We love King David and Belize, don't hesitate to book . Amazing adventures with the king

We booked two tours with king David: Zoo + Howler Monkeys and Lamanai. While he wasn't present in the first tour it was still splendid. He was however, on the second one. He's very knowledgeable, with an answer to any question we had. He's a safe driver, a people person and offers fair prices even for small groups.

Arranged at very short notice via the Jaguar Adventure Tour, we were lucky enough to be able to explore Belize with King David. David drove us safely and comfortably and got us back to the ship on time. We visited the zipline and Altun ha in one afternoon. During the tour we were provided with cold drinks and hot, delicious food. David always told us facts about his country and was happy to answer our questions. We were very satisfied and thank you again for the nice support.
