A fantastic experience. Do yourself a favor and go learn about the conservation efforts while having butterflies land on your head. Seriously, take the 45 minute tour of the butterfly rooms, catapillar nursery, and finally the hummingbird feeding area. You won't regret it!

Had a wonderful time at the Butterfly Ranch! If you’re canoeing at Barton Creek you MUST stop here. Our guide Rachel was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took us through the butterfly garden and pointed out many of the different species for us. We got to see all the stages they go through from egg to caterpillar to pupae to butterfly. These butterflies are very well cared for. The enclosure itself is beautiful and if you stand still, the butterflies will land on you. Many hummingbirds also call this place home and we got to see many species. I’ve never seen so many hummingbirds at once! There were at least 30 in one area. We’d definitely go again!

Definitely glad we stopped in on our way down the mountain. The tour was alot of fun and informative. $20 entry fee seemed like a lot to see some butterflies, but after we were done I was more than happy to support the work being done here. When in the butterfly cages they would land all over my body, even one landed on my nose. I highly recommend stopping in if you are in the area.

Probably the best butterfly farm that I've ever been to. It took a while to get there because its a bit off the beaten path, but it did not disappoint. Tons of butterflies all over the place and many different varieties as well. Be sure to bring your camera as there are tons of great photo opps. I saw quite a few butterflies that I had never even seen or heard of before visiting this butterfly ranch.

We loved out trip to Green Hills Butterfly Ranch My husband and I visited Green Hills Butterfly Ranch on the way back from Mountain Pine Ridge Forest. We enjoyed exploring the largest live butterfly display in Belize. Equally, we LOVED birding at the ranch. Green Hills is an internationally recognized birding hotspot and it did not disappoint. In my opinion, the hummingbirds are the star of the show. We saw at least 6 species of hummers during our visit. My only regret is not getting to the Ranch a bit earlier so we could have picnicked while birding! I highly recommend Green Hills Butterfly Ranch for the nature lover and especially for kids! Green Hills is an excellent place to foster fun, learning, and curiosity for children and adolescents.

We had a 45 minute to one hour tour of this spectacular place. Rayna explained the process from eggs to caterpillars to chrysalis to butterflies and showed us each step. The butterflies are beautiful. We stopped on the way to Barton Creek cave canoe tour. The hummingbirds were a treat as well.

WOW. A simply magical place. I cannot recommend this place enough. The tour is short and well worth your time. You see so many butterflies in a beautiful little garden building, but you also get to see tons of hummingbirds...like more in one spot than I've ever seen. Seeing all the beautiful creatures in such a lovely setting cared for by such dedicated staff is truly special. Our tour guide Cleydi was so knowledgeable and helpful and truly cared about protecting all these animals.

The butterflies make the place so vivid and lively. The kids will enjoy it. The hummingbird area was my favorite. Something about hearing the sound of their wings is relaxing.

What a wonderful experience! The moment we pulled up, Susany our guide was already walking towards us to welcome us. We learned so much from her about the different butterflies and their life cycles. This operation sits on 250 acres of land and they work tirelessly to grow the population of butterflies for the planet. They even ship pupae all over the world for this one purpose. It’s a lot more work than I realized requiring daily attention. The tour was dense with information. I should have been taking notes! Thank you for all you do!

Beautiful place to visit on the way to the ruins! For $20 it’s a great tour with staff passionate about their mission. The varieties of butterflies were spectacular to see up close. Definitely go!

What a beautiful experience! Shanell showed us around the whole operation and it was amazing to see all the butterflies in their different life stages. Not to mention the hummingbirds at the end! Really great place, great staff, lot to see and learn, totally worth the trip.

We added this as a stop after Barton Cave and are glad we did. The guide Weslyn was very informative, answering all our questions, and showing us all the stages from egg to butterfly and all the different kinds of butterflies including the glasswing! When we first got there it was drizzly, which means the butterflies weren't very active but as the sun came out they were everywhere. There's also a hummingbird feeder area.

Didn't expect to come visit but had my youngests with me while the older kids were riding horses across the road. Blown away. Lots of ooohs and ahhhs and random butterflies landing on us, posing for pictures. We were guided by Weslyn who was very knowledgeable and explained not only the hows and whys, but the howcome and the business and conservation efforts behind the ranch. I might've come out more impressed than my little ones. Price $20usd for adults, $10 for kids - but free at a certain age, not sure which. Definitely worth it just for the conservation efforts this business is doing, and for the valuable jobs and school trip opportunities it provides.

Gorgeous and peaceful! A must visit for nature lovers and birders in Belize. I highly recommend the guided tour. Everyone is knowledgeable and kind here. This place also does important work to support ecology and give good job opportunities to Belizeans. Stop by the hummingbird feeders to watch for a while, it's incredible!

This tour includes not only an amazing variety of butterflies, but their eggs, larval and pupa stages as well. Our guide, Wesleyan, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She pointed out the differences between the different eggs and types of plants where different butterflies laid their eggs. She also showed us a variety of caterpillars from a day old to forming their chrysalis! On top of all that, they have hummingbird feeders that attract many, many beautiful hummingbirds!
