Abe provided us with a ride from San Ignacio to Belize City in March 2022. We so enjoyed having Abe as our tour guide, educator, story teller, and excellent driver. We learned about his family and coconut farming - as well the culture, politics and the relationship between Guatemala and Belize. What could have been a long 2-hour drive was a really pleasant experience!

Abe offers a fantastic service. From the first moment we were greeted at the San Ignacio landing strip, I felt like I was being picked up by family. He made sure we had all of our things and made us comfortable for the ride to our Airbnb. Even stopped at a local supermarket for us to get get things because we were staying outside of town (we would have never thought of this!). We also used his service from San Ignacio to Hopkins and what was a 2.5 hour trip felt like 20 minutes. With couple of sites to see along the way and just all around good conversation. My husband and I will be back and likely only use Abe. Abe is reliable, safe, proactive and an all around good human being which is more than we could have ever asked for in a service. Abe- I keep telling people we made a friend here and it’s so true! You will always be first in my mind when I think of this trip and share with others! You embody the friendliness of Belize!

*READ BEFORE VISITING BELIZE* I usually don't leave reviews or find value in your guides when visiting places, but hiring Abe made the experience of visiting Belize so easy and enjoyable without feeling like you have been taken advantage of or uncomfortable. He should probably start using the nickname "Honest Abe". He didn't try to sell us on anything, he was considerate of our needs and wants, super friendly, and was a reliable source to turn to for helping fill out gaps in our vacation and asking any questions. I highly recommend using him to ensure your trip to Belize becomes a positive memory.

Abe came recommend by our Hosts Adam and Rebecca's @ Lost Compass Cabininas. We contacted him from Canada, booked our trip from the Airport to San Ignacio, then later to Hopkins. His one helper. Johnathan. Drove us from the Airport. Great guy. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly. And you'd never know he's just learning English. He recommended The Mayan Women's CoOp, as a must see. Totally worth it. Abe took us on as a personal tour guide to the Coop, and Cahal Pech the one day. Then to Lamanai Chocolate Co, the Inland Blue Hole, Mrs Bertha's Tamales and eventually Hopkins. He's a personable communicator. Very knowledgeable, especially of the more boutique or Authentic Cultural or everyday Belizian life experiences and foods. He loves to answer questions - even the esoteric. Is full of stories and history. Abe is definitely one of the highlights of my wife's and my Trip so far. I can not recommend him and his team more highly.

Abe provided the best taxi service we had in Belize. He was friendly, accommodating, and it was so easy to communicate and coordinate with him through Whatsapp. We first used his services to visit the Xunantunich ruins, and we enjoyed our time so much and the insights that he shared about his country, that we used his services again for transportation from San Ignacio to Hopkins. Along the way he was gracious enough to take us to a few places we never would have known about (the inland Blue Hole, Lamanai Chocolate Co., and Bertha's Tamales). He answered all of my inquiries about the history of Belize and was very knowledgeable about the people and places we were visiting. I can't rate Abe highly enough. He's such an honest, genuine, and authentic person. He came as a recommendation from a friend, and I can see why he was recommended. Taxis in a foreign country can be a stressful experience, you never know if you're being charged too much or if they're steering you to businesses that might not be in your best interest. This is not the case with Abe. He helped me out so much, gave me recommendations, and was great conversation to boot. He's an absolute gentleman and a fine fellow. And, if he can't help you, he will make sure you are taken care of by someone who will.

Abe was so wonderful! He met us at some ruins that we were exploring, brought us ice cold water, then took us to our next destination while providing us with rich history of the area. He also does trips crossing international borders! Would recommend him any time.

We hired Abe's Taxi for our transfer from the Belize International airport to our hotel in San Ignacio. Abe was so easy to communicate with and extremely helpful. He was a joy to talk to and provided invaluable information on things in and around San Ignacio that we would have missed otherwise. We hired his taxi service again for our transfer from San Ignacio to the water taxi in Belize City and also for our transfer to the airport when it was time to go home. Both Abe and his brother Joel are top notch customer service experts and engaging story tellers. We hope to some day return to Belize and when we do we will definitely be using Abe's Taxi again. Abe picked me up and took me to see the Maya ruins then the zoo and even helped me book my hotel. He also provided me with an umbrella , cold water and me a free hotspot so I could use my phone. Abe was a great host during our trip to Belize. He was right on time to pick us up from our hotel in San Ignacio to take us to the airport in Belize City. The car was clean, he was a safe driver, and he had lots of knowledge to share about the country. He even offered his data for a hot spot. Abe is the man. We had the pleasure of using his service for multiple things during our visit to Belize. As such, we got to meet Abe, Jonathan, and a couple other drivers that are part of his network. Everyone was awesome. But specific to Abe since it is his business, I want to single him out. When he greets you at the airport, it's like walking up to an old friend. He's genuine, knowledgeable, and professional. When I say we used his service for multiple things, this is referring to not only the airport to/from San Ignacio, but also a couple of Mayan sites, including Tikal (Guatemala). He arranged everything for us (including guides for the two sites) and always checked in on What'sApp the night before to confirm the plan. If he wasn't driving us himself, he also always called the driver we had a couple minutes after they picked us up to confirm they got us. I really don't know how he does it, because he's so busy and so on top of everything. I cannot recommend him enough and look forward to having backseat Belikin's again on a return trip! Abe is the best!!!! He picked us up from Belize City airport and drove us to San Ignacio. He also drove us to Xunantunich and connected us with Naz who was our guide inside the ruins. Abe then took us to Bennys for lunch and Green Hills butterfly ranch. We had some time to kill and didnt know what to do and took us to Oxmul Coffee farm, one of the highlights of our trip! Abe will recommend you things to do and he is so kind and knowledgeable. We are so happy we found Abe and his business.

Abe and his colleague Jonathan were incredibly friendly and helpful during our recent trip to Belize, and we would recommend them to anyone. It was easy to communicate with Abe on Whatsapp, and Abe was flexible accommodating a change in our travel plans. He helped us out with a few activities (coffee/birding/Xunantunich) and airport pickup/drop-off. We had many great conversations too. Hiring Abe was the best decision we made on our trip.

Abe made traveling to Belize such a treat. He planned our trip and showed us the best that Belize could offer. He’s always trying to make sure you have a great and comfortable time. Abe is polite, professional, personable, friendly, and funny. We felt completely safe with Abe and our trip with him was absolutely excellent. I couldn't recommend anyone more than Abe. We contacted him for a last minute trip from San Ignacio to Xunantunich and then back to Cahal Pech - despite being in the middle of making tamales for his family celebration, Abe jumped right on taking us where we needed to go and made a great day out of it for us. Abe was a gracious host and we had the best time! If you're ever in Belize (or Guatemala), I highly recommend Abe! He connected us with another amazing tour guide in Guatemala to see Tikal, Lloyd. They're both truly good humans who taught us a lot, and made us laugh. And the food! They took us to a place with the best chicken soup. It was so good! It hit the spot after a long day. Abe is an excellent and safe driver. He got us all the way from San Ignacio to the Lighthouse in Belize City, quickly and safely. He took care to pass slower drivers only when it was safe to do so and wasn’t reckless like some other taxi drivers can be trying to hurry hurry. His car is spacious and clean with good A/C. Abe is also a great conversationalist which made the 2+ hour drive go by quickly. I would highly recommend Abe and look forward to using his services again when we are back in Belize.

It was a fantastic experience riding with Abe's taxi service. We went to Tikal from Belize City with a stop at San Ignacio with Abe and his partner (for Guatemala) and everything was perfect. Abe picked us up from the San Pedro express water taxi and drove us to San Ignacio. Everything went very smoothly and the conversation was the highlight! He was a great driver, he answered every question we had about Belize and made the taxi experience fun and educational. Abe was awesome, friendly, and helpful! He brought us to the xunantunich ruins and arranged a tour for us, which was incredible! He gave us great suggestions of things to do in San Ignacio and was easy to contact when we needed a ride somewhere. He also put us in contact with the taxi service in belize city to arrange our transportation in that area.

If you plan to tour Belize, do yourself a favor and book Abe for all transportation, tours, and logistics. His prices were significantly less than what the other shuttle/resorts quoted us and Abe provided us with better customer service and flexibility with pickup locations and times. He also recommended several lesser known attractions and restaurants that we absolutely enjoyed. Abe was a delight to talk with during our trips between destinations and tour sites and his knowledge of his country and culture gave us even more appreciation for Belize. Abe was also able to book a Mayan ruin tour for us which cost substantially less than what the resort quoted us and set us up with a knowledgeable and engaging guide to tour the site with. The guide also helped us locate toucans, monkeys, bats and iguanas throughout the site! We felt like Abe was invested in us getting the most authentic and genuine experience of Belize that we could and made our trip as stress-free as possible. Abe was incredible for me and my partner on our first trip to Belize. He did so much more than the basics. Not only was he prompt and incredibly gracious, he helped us at every step to find the best experiences to get the most out of our time in the country. We have only great things to say about our experience with Abe! We had Abe pick is up at the airport and he was waiting for us with a sign and cold water and beers for us! While in San Ignacio Abe took us to Xunantunich where we had a great tour with a Mayan guide. Having Abe bring us allowed us to get there early and beat the crowds. We also had him bring us to Mountain Pine Ridge. We had a great day there as well and Abe let us take however long we needed at each stop. We really enjoyed talking with Abe and learning so much about Belize. I would 100% recommend using his services again if I am ever in Belize! Thank you Abe!!
