Such a gorgeous place for a dip or a casual stroll and situated just below the clifftops where there are some remarkable cafes and eateries to really make a day of it. There is easy access to get down to the beach by a gentle sloping pathway rather than stairs onto a pristine, clean beach that has change so much since my childhood. Dogs are okay as long as they’re on leashes and of course their owner cleans up after them – that goes without saying but sadly we need to remind some owners to be mindful of others. There’s a great look out at the top of the cliffs with heaps of seating available to while away the hours either enjoying the view or strolling along the beach, the choice is yours. With more than an adequate amount of car spaces along the road above, there’s no problem getting a park even at peak times on both sides of the road. Such a beautiful place to visit and only a short drive from the heart of Geelong. Now with everything opening up in Victoria, this is an old favourite that needs to be re-visited to get the economy going and to enjoy the new Ocean Grove beach if you haven’t seen it in a long while. Well worth a visit.

Perfect for the family. Life guards, gently sloping and not as dangerous as other beaches on the surf coast. Plenty of parking and facilities. Minimal rocks and weed, plenty of sandy area to set up on and sheltered by the sand dunes.

Beautiful view at the lookout this morning with an orange sunrise around 6- 6.30am. Can see beach, sit on grass and see any tips from up here.

Great dog beach. I regularly travel 2.5-3 hours from Bendigo to bring my dogs to this lovely beach. A lot of new work being done creating ramps down to the beach instead of steps.

Limited parking, but great surf beach for kids. Patrolled area, so you can safely swim between the flags. Nice to walk along, and smallish waves so kids were find on their boogie boards as well as surf boards.

Beautiful day at this stunning beach; great surf and very clean; well maintained beach. One of my favourite beaches in Victoria; many happy family holidays memories, spent here growing up.

Great spot for a relaxing day. Close to shops, cafes and supermarket in the centre of town. Gets a little overcrowded in the warmer seasons but can still be great for a dip in the ocean, surf, fish, boat or even a beer and chill. Local vibe varies from pretty laid back to pompous and arrogant..Our experiences have been pretty good so far. Would recommend!!

Always love bringing our dog here for a stroll, and splash and some delicious lunch and ice cream at Kyosk and Paradise Parlour up the road! Waves can be high and strong, lots of fun if dogs are happy in water :)

Crazy good spot to swim and have the pups around. Like all dog beaches, you get some nit wits, but overall the behaviour of the locals is above par. Good facilities and enough parking with local amenities just a stones throw away.

Love this beach. Staple for us. Front beach upgrades have been thought through really well. Terrace design gives great viewing from many angles.

Didn't know it was a dog beach until we parked in the tiny parking lot. But on a day that was packed, we ended up in between the dog and surf beaches and had a ball.
