😠 I went to purchase a rug and look at kitchens in Freedom Geelong this morning. I was in the store for about 20 min. They had virtually no customers but many staff.     I went to purchase a rug and look at kitchens in Freedom Geelong this morning. I was in the store for about 20 min. They had virtually no customers but many staff. Not one staff member acknowledged me on the shop floor. Not even a hello how can I help! I went to look at kitchens. Two sales women standing and having a personal conversation whilst I’m browsing kitchens. Didn’t even look at me. I went to the other side of the store to look at rugs which I came in to purchase. Two sales men on the shop floor close to the rugs. Same experience. No customer service! How do you stay employed guys? How does this store make a sale? Very poor

    Tried to get info on an out-of-stock product and told they have no idea when it will come back in and "it is what it is". Great. Called Essendon store. They connected us to the distributor, then the supplier and got us the date that stock would come back in (the exact date).

    The staff at Freedom Furniture Corio provide the worst service of any of the Freedom furniture group. Very disappointing. Displaying sale prices on stock in the store that is not available online or in their warehouse. Unhelpful and unfriendly - no care and no accountability.

    Great products and beautiful store but pickup customer service an afterthought. I ordered a small furniture item over the phone and was advised a few days later that it was ready for pick up. Drove a fair distance to pick it up on a Saturday 2pm only to be informed that no one was in the warehouse that day. The first sales assistant just told me there was nothing she could do. A second sales person at least checked the size of my order and whether it was accessible. She couldn't even locate it. Apparently, the warehouse person was on leave and there is no backup on some days. Would have been handy to know before I made the trip. Sales staff apologised but didn't/couldn't offer shipping.

    Great customer service and really great at handling all the extra pressures of covid/supply chain demands… hats off to you guys - you put up with a lot and keep your cool! Love freedom - will continue to shop here and tell all my friends to as well! 5 stars.

    Staff were absolutely amazing. Lovely people & friendly customer service from the staff and manager. Products purchased were brilliant quality and they gave us some generous prices on some run out stock.

    Wow! A big Thank You to Merccy! I just had her process 5 vouchers, she did it so quickly & easily over the phone, without a complaint. She sold us our furniture back in June, we received amazing service & that was the only reason we didn’t go elsewhere (we had just visited another store nearby and chosen other items). Merccy provided incredible service and made sure the entire process went smoothly. She is an asset to your business! Thank you again Mercy. I should also note that our furniture arrived quicker than expected which was also a bonus! Thank you.

    Despite it being a lengthy wait for my new Freedom furniture, I was very pleased with it all when it recently arrived. I was very happy with the service I received from Merccy and Jack at the Geelong store and realise that the delay was beyond their control. Merccy and Jack were most helpful in the selection process and I valued their honesty.

    This 5 star review is for the Freedom Geelong store only. The staff at the Freedom Store, Geelong are absolutely wonderful. Merccy and Jack in particular have been attentive, caring and understanding during a recent difficult time. I highly praise the staff. I give Freedom after sale service out of store and head office 1 star as this is the lowest score one can give. Unfortunately after sale, events are trying to say the least if there is a problem with your purchase. My new sofa took 8 months to arrive. It was defective in that the cushioning had compacted causing the leather to sag dreadfully within three months. I am little - 50 kg. I submitted a claim form to head office and long story short, this was considered a MINOR fault and I was unable to receive a refund, just store credit. After a very stressful 2 months I eventually I received a refund. If you have a warranty claim, go straight to the store. Always ask for a list of customer rights and warranty conditions in a short and concise document at time of sale. These are otherwise only available online. It seems head office have their own rules with no regard to consumer rights and what is considered a minor or major defect. Read online reviews before making any purchase at Freedom, or any store for your own safety.

    Top customer service- supportive, helpful and the staff really know their products. My couch, cushions and towels are excellent quality- a really happy customer. Thank you- the staff are wonderful! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    Outstanding service from Jack. He was kind, very helpful and went out do his way to make our purchasing experience easy and stress free.. he has great attention to detail and listens to your needs. Couldn’t be happier with his service and look forward to the next purchase

    Very successful shopping in Freedom today. Kim assisted us and she was excellent. Good knowledge of products and very patient answering our endless questions. Delevery in 1 to 3 weeks 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍. Will definately be returning to Freedom

    Ordered a Lounge which was too big for the space, called the store and spoke to Maxine, Happy to offer full refund without any trouble as I have not picked up the item. Great customer service.

    Great products generally and good store set up. Hit and miss with customer service though; it has been better in the past. Particularly for click-and-collect items apparently, you will have to drive to the back of the store around the car park and other shops and staff are unable to assist with your item at the counter even for one small item — “protocol” we were told. This protocol should have been clearly stated in the email so we don’t waste time.

    We recently purchased 2 couches at Freedom Geelong. We were looked after by Kate who was really helpful and helped us get a double recliner which had to be custom built on the system. We can't wait for the new couches to arrive! Thanks Kate and the team at Freedom Geelong who were all really helpful and knowledgeable. We would absolutely recommend them.

    I bought a couch from freedom Geelong. The customer service I received from Kate was excellent. She answered all my questions professionally and patiently. I will definitely come back to buy again from this store. Hopefully the wait time is not too long for delivery.

    We visited Freedom Geelong today browsing for a new sofa. We were warmly greeted by Merccy offering assistance. She was able to show us several options in terms of what we were looking for, while answering all of our questions, she knows her product! We were looking for a sturdy long lasting fabric and only a few colours in mind. She explained the grading of fabrics to us and since the fabrics were Warwick fabrics we could easily look up the fabric online too. With her interior design background she also helped in choosing a complimentary fabric colour for armchairs later on. Merccy wasn’t at all pushy or looking for a sale, just genuinely helpful and invested in our investment. 10/10 for customer service and knowledge! We are no longer browsing!

    Well greeted when in store however later contact left sour taste as took ages to answer 2 phone calls, don’t get back on enquires & long delays to get item seen on the floor……very poor

    Bought a couch and was advised it would take 6 weeks to arrive. I asked them twice to confirm that 6 weeks was correct, I was assured it was. Freedom then called me a week later and advised delivery would now be in 20 weeks.

    Have waited 6 months for a sofa (paid in full) with the news now that could potentially be 9 months! We were told at time of purchase the wait would be only 10 weeks. The sofa we purchased has now gone on sale. We feel totally let down by freedom and at time of purchase had many options for stock available now from other companies however we chose freedom as we had so much faith in a trusted brand. Sadly that's not the case any more and I'd be extremely reluctant to purchase furniture again having had this experience.

    DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!! We have been waiting 2 years for our couches, each phone call we make (on hold for at least 30 mints each time) we are given different details and dates on when they are arriving and each time the date is extended! They still cannot tell us when we will get them. This store is an absolute disgrace , I would highly recommend going elsewhere .

    Bought a sofa bed online in January 2022 that was supposed to be delivered in early March. They kept pushing back the delivery date to May blaming Covid. Finally it has arrived 2 months late and the wooden frame at the back is completely cracked through and frame is out of shape. I have been forced to submit a warrantee claim which they have taken 2 days to respond to and now want another 3-4 days to have someone contact me to arrange a time to come and review the sofa. That's 6 days before anyone can even come out for a sofa that was broken on delivery. I was offered compensation for the late delivery, but that still hasn't been credited 2 weeks later. Don't buy from them, they are completely disorganised, advertise fake delivery times and when you contact customer service they just send templated email responses. I thought I was buying from a quality provider, but was clearly wrong.

    Thank you.... The staff are now so fantastic, friendly hospitable so helpful toatily the best team I have ever come across in years at the Geelong store . I have had the best experience today all NEW friendly staff instead of dreading going there I can now go knowing they have the best staff. So thank you Freedom Furniture for replacing your staff definitely have picked the best team they are amazing.

    I visited the store a while ago. I was greeted with a smile from several staff members. If I can remember there names… I would note it down. They helped me with my purchase, they did explain to me me about the delays in the supply chain.. which left me feeling comfortable. It’s refreshing, to have such great customer service. In a toxic retail environment, I understand the pressure they are under. I understand patience goes a long way. A massive thank you to the Geelong team. I will be back.

    Can’t thank Maxine the store manager enough for the customer service we received at Freedom a few weeks ago. She went over and above to ensure we were happy with our purchases and offered some great suggestions along the way. We will definitely be back to make some more purchases for our new home. All the staff at freedom geelong are friendly and super helpful and in an era where customer service isn’t always great, the staff here provide service with a smile.

    Absolutely great experience shopping at freedom geelong because of the service I received from Kate! She was just lovely. I can definitely say I have not had customer service like that in a long time! She was so real, patient and helpful. Answering all my questions and really going above and beyond to help me with my decision making. Freedom should feel very proud to have someone like Kate representing their company!
