My
mom
ended
up
in
the
er
with
a
white
blood
cell
count
of
45000.
Her
doctor
told
her
he
had
NEVER
seen
someone
conscious
and
walking
with
a
count
that
high.
Not
only
did
they
keep
her
in
the
er
for
over
24
hours,
they
fed
her
awful
food
and
couldn’t
even
find
out
where
her
infection
started
from.
They
ran
constant
tests,
every
single
test
possible
at
that
and
still
couldn't
find
any
specific
problem
or
cause.
Scaring
my
mom
with
so
many
could
have
beens
and
might
be’s,
shes
found
out
she
might
leave
today
and
still
has
no
idea
what
really
happened
or
what
it
really
is.
Me
and
my
mother
are
VERY
close.
I
just
recently
got
her
back
in
my
life
and
seeing
all
this
happened
has
really
scared
me.
I
stayed
with
her
all
day
yesterday
and
we
both
agreed
that
me
staying
was
the
best
option.
We
asked
more
than
5
employees
if
me
staying
was
a
problem
and
none
of
them
said
it
was.
Many
nurses
and
doctors
saw
me
in
her
room
with
her
from
8:30pm
-9:00
am
all
through
the
night
and
none
of
them
said
anything
about
me
staying.
Most
of
the
night
nurses
even
saw
me
sleeping,
some
of
them
just
asked
if
I
needed
anything.
This
morning
was
the
final
straw.
A
nurse
named
Jackie
came
in
and
saw
me
and
asked
if
i
had
stayed,
we
were
honest
and
said
yes.
she
had
already
had
an
AWFUL
attitude.
She
asked
if
someone
had
given
me
permission
to
stay,
we
were
still
honest
and
told
her
about
the
many
nurses
that
either
said
it
was
fine
or
saw
me
sleeping
and
staying
with
her
late
at
night.
She
asked
how
old
I
was,
we
told
her
my
age
(18)
and
then
she
said
that
it
didn't
matter
anyway,
and
that
it
still
isn't
allowed.
Why
ask
then?
Just
trying
to
start
an
argument.
She
said
it
was
just
her
job
to
ask
but
we
shouldn't
have
been
so
disrespectful
and
should've
found
“someone
other
than
nurses”
to
ask.
She
also
decided
it
was
smart
to
tell
us
that
people
staying
over
night
is
just
for
people
with
family
members
on
their
deathbed.
My
mother
has
been
nothing
but
sweet
and
bubbly
with
these
nurses
and
doctors
even
when
she
was
on
her
deathbed
in
the
beginning.
Theres
no
reason
to
act
like
that.
These
are
patients
to
Jackie,
but
she
doesn’t
understand
that
these
patients
are
family
to
us
and
we
wont
be
happy
when
you
speak
to
them
like
they
are
children.
I
understand
not
being
happy
when
hospital
rules
aren’t
followed
but
we
asked
and
got
permission,
theres
no
reason
to
take
it
out
on
us.
