It is a major attraction in Hampi. The big Shivlinga is also the biggest Shivlinga in Hampi and is located close to Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. Carved from black stone the shiv linga is believed to have been existing since the Vijayanagara Empire. The Shiva Linga is constructed in such a way that it has no ceiling and the whole chamber becomes flooded with light. The Shiva linga is also rested on a pedestal that is left on a body of water that is channelled through it.

Huge and Mesmerizing Structures. I wonder, how amazing must have been the scene when Kings resided here and performed the Puja.

One of the famous temple in Hampi. There is huge historical history of this temple. You can get the tourist guide here very easily. Other than this Karnataka government has maintained it very well. As this very famous place for tourists so you can find other activities as well other than temple visit.

Badvi shivalinga is one of main attractions in Magical Hampi’ in Karnataka, we gave a visit to ‘Badavilinga Temple’. Badavilinga Temple is a wonderful temple in Hampi dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is a 3 metres high Monolithic Sculpture of Shiv Linga. It looks quite marvelous. The sculpture is slightly submerged in water. The Hindu deity Shiva is worshipped in the form of a Linga in this temple. The Badavilinga temple is located near the Lakshmi Narasimha Temple. Tourists as well as devotees flock to the temple throughout the year. The temple is extraordinary and dedicated to God Shiva. The Badavi linga Temple is a wonderful temple in Hampi dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located near Sri Krishna Temple and at a distance 3 km from Hampi Bus Stand. The beautiful Linga is built from black stone and the temple is positioned near the Lakshmi Narasimha Temple.
