The turnover rate here must be insane. Every time I come in there’s a new face just playing on their phone. They all seem to have no customer service skills especially the manager! Everything seems to be out of service. Good luck using the hot tub or the pool it’s never opened. I’ve been to many gyms and have to say the price to workout here isn’t anywhere near being worth it. Tooo small of a gym.

I pay extra for Esporta/LA Fitness for the dry sauna and hot tub. The hot tub is down all the effing time. Should give discounts to people when the facilities they sold you do not function. Oh and good luck asking about it.

Don't join Esporta. I have been going to this gym for over a year. This place is fairly modern with decent equipment. However, maintenance is almost nonexistent. All of the TVs in the men's locker room have been in a state of disrepair for over a year with no picture on any of them. There are also roaches in the lockers and in the showers. The TVs on the treadmills occasionally are not working at all or do not display certain channels. But worst of all is that recently in the men's showers there is no cool water. Regardless of the setting the water delivered is way too hot. I contacted the gym operations manager who said they are working on these problems, but nothing has changed. I even sent an email on this topic to their corporate help over a week ago and I have yet to receive a reply.

If I could give a negative rating, I would. Management is trash. I’ve had nothing but problems with the staff. Before signing my contract, I ask if filming was allowed because that is a nonnegotiable for me. I know certain gyms don’t allow that. They told me it was fine as long as I’m respectful and not recording anyone else. Been filming in that gym since June 2021. I don’t film with its busy and avoid peak hours. I do my best to be respectful so I don’t record other people. I was recording in a corner and a lady comes up to me and starts harassing me and cussing at me. I asked if something was wrong and she asked why I had a camera. I stated that I do this for a living and I film my workout videos. Continuing to harass me and finally walks away. About 20 minutes later the manager come up to me stating that I put the camera away or leave. I told him I was confused since I’ve been okayed to do this for almost a year now. He said he’s the manager and the staffs boss and “he” makes the rules not them. I told him this is what I do for a living and pretty much said not his problem. He was nothing but rude to me and a complete jackass. He was not at all polite about the situation. Not sure how he pulled off that manager position 😂 Guess it’s okay for people to harass you but not film or take pictures of yourself. Maybe next time make sure you do your job and “your” staff knows the rules of the gym. What a joke. I’ll gladly take my business elsewhere ✌🏽

A great gym to burn those calories away. Staff is friendly and helpful and they have a great selection of equipment. The two negatives are the hot tub and bathrooms. The hot tub is closed far more than it is open and the restrooms are always repulsive and smelly. I do love their classes. Yoga on Tuesdays and Thursdays is nice

I had signed up over a yr ago and when I signed up I was told directly from management that it was good I was signing up because they were going to be open 24 hrs within a couple of months! Here it is a yr later and you are not open 24 months! It makes it hard for me to work out on the weekends because of your hrs and work schedule! When are you opening 24hrs ???

I have stopped working out at this gym 6 months ago and they are still charging me, even after I made a claim with my Bank! I sent them a cancellation notice well before the require time frame!!!! Then they kept charging me and ignoring it, moth after month and I THEN SENT COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL CANCELATION NOTICE AND FOR THE MONTH THAT I WAS CANCELLING BY AS WELL!!! I DON'T Workout Here, ANYMORE, LAY OFF MY BANK ACCOUNT!!! I'M NO LONGER A MEMBER any more already sent in a cancellation form and made a dispute and now they wanting to charge me again on my birthday!!!!

Personal training “manager” is absolutely foul. *note I never got PT training because the person who scheduled me ”was no longer there” I only got to meet the rude manager because I wanted my money back.

I used to go to the LA Fitness in Land O Lakes, but recently relocated to Clearwater, so I started going to this gym bc it's convenient for me on my lunch breaks. While this one has more amenities like a pool and a basketball court, I think the layout is poor, they have less equipment to choose from, they allow ballroom dancers (3 of them) to practice in their great room taking away from other workout options, they have no changing rooms in the locker rooms, it's not the cleanest, the floors are gross in the locker rooms and bathrooms, the water fountains smell like stinky feet ALL the time, and the staff isn't as friendly.

The nastiest, funkiest, stinkiest gym I’ve ever been to, hands down. The staff is nice so I’m really sorry to be this honest. I’m personally a traveler, I’ve been to countless different gyms around the country. This gym in particular was revolting, the stench was all around the building, especially in the locker room. I couldn’t breathe in most sections of this gym. I was here for one hour, it was sickening. At the very least they need to do something about the smell.

There are a good number and variety of machines and equipment. Staff is good. I only go in the morning so I dont know everyone. I do wish they'd do a better job mopping the floors. I see the guy working, but he only does the main area. Underneath the machines there is dirt and hair. Never seems to move. They should also have better placement of sanitizing spray and paper towels throughout the gym.

Stellar facility, and STELLAR staff here. Every single member of this team works in his or her capacity to maximize value and enjoyability for each and every patron / guest. The cleaning staff cleans almost NONSTOP. Also, there are more cleaning supplies made available to members than in any gym location that I have ever been in. There is a jovial and friendly atmosphere which is omnipresent within this facility. It is easy to have a good time working out here. I spend a LOT of time in this place, 7 days a week. I have never seen any staff member be anything except helpful and courteous. The personal trainers are TOP notch. If you are new to working out, they make everyone feel comfortable and accepted. If you are are a seasoned pro, there is still plenty to learn from these dedicated guys and girls. The goal of these trainers seems to be helping clients maximize benefit from time spent in the gym. The management staff is clearly the backbone and infrastructure which keeps this place the very best choice and experience for anyone wanting a pleasant place to build a healthy lifestyle. I suggest you say hi to Brian on the way in. He has been a catalyst for the success for staff members to build their careers, and for members to build their biceps for decades. Extremely poor customer service. Called with a simple question about membership, and the woman on the phone would not answer the question and said she would have the sales agent call after he got in. Sent an email asking about membership and the response was "have tried to locate your membership in our database". Of course, I'm not a member and was asking both the lady and the receiver of the email a simple question which they both refused to answer.

Have really enjoyed my time at this gym! The equipment are new and the area is well kept. It’s not too crowded so can definitely count on getting in a good workout. The GM Jay has been wonderful! Made the sign up process a breeze. He’s truly a genuine guy, always providing helpful advice. Definitely will continue going to this location long term!

Fantastic Gym Experience with Incredible Trainer! I've been working out at this gym for a while now, and I can confidently say that it's been an amazing journey. One of the highlights of my experience has been working with the exceptional personal trainer, Michael. When I first started, I was a bit unsure about proper workout techniques and training methods, but Michael has been an absolute game-changer. Michael's patience, knowledge, and dedication to helping me achieve my fitness goals have been truly remarkable. He's guided me through every step of the process, ensuring that I not only learn about proper workout techniques but also how to train safely to avoid any injuries. His motivation is contagious, and he's always there to push me further, which has made a world of difference in my progress. In terms of the gym itself, I must say I'm quite satisfied with the cleanliness standards. However, I can only speak for the areas I use, as I don't make use of the locker room facilities. I tend to avoid peak hours, but even during my workout times, I've noticed a diverse group of people, all different levels, shapes, and ages. As a woman, my priority is feeling safe and secure while working out. While this gym does provide a sense of security, I do wish there were more advanced measures in place, such as key card access and surveillance. However, I understand that location convenience often comes with trade-offs, and I've opted to use the small lockers at the front for my belongings. So far, it has been hassle-free. In a nutshell, this gym, coupled with the outstanding guidance of Michael, has transformed my fitness journey into an enjoyable and productive experience. If you're looking for a place to work out with a fantastic trainer, diverse fellow gym-goers, and a supportive environment, this is the place to be!

I’ve been going to the East Bay location for about 2 years now. This Esporta by far has the best trainers you’ll find. The entire PT staff including the manager Daisy is super friendly and welcoming. Trainer Michael Welch is amazing and has helped me with certain exercises to help rehab my leg for a while now. I am now able to run and exercise pain free while playing ball again. Equipment is always available! I highly recommend this gym especially working with the team that they have there!

I have been a member for years. Personal trainer Michael is the best, even though I have not personally used him he makes the gym a comfortable place for everyone from first time gym goers to people that have been to many gyms. He is very outgoing and has knowledge on everything you could need for a healthy lifestyle.

Funny how the TV's in THIS la fitness location ONLY has CNN news, and the Fox news station is blank. Equality for everyone... except for things they don't like.

I broke my ankle, had a plate put in, came into the gym, cancelled my membership... not only did they not cancel the plan they continued to bill me every month and have refused to provide a refund. I offered a letter from the surgeon proving the dates of the surgery to show aid in proof and they still refuse to cancel/refund. They stated that because their team didn't file the form I filled out that I was being held liable, regardless of the fact that they can see I have not been to any of their locations in several months. UNPROFESSIONAL. When I was attending their gym, I complained daily of their extremely unsanitary spa area (and black mold) and every day the issue remained unattended and the bald manager would constantly give me an attitude because it was "too hard to keep clean" This place is not recommended.

Was recommended here by a friend. Esporta is super nice super clean with very well kept workout machines and gym equipment. East Florida offers a gym my favorite nice gym a little small on the sides but nice rims nice basket and awesome competition here 6'9 guys play everyone here is a baller! I'm pretty sure there's also superheroes that work out here at the gym... Not to mention the physically fit super attractive people that work out here that take care of their bods! This place is awesome for networking making friends and everyone from staff to the people are very helpful and friendly! Staff is customer service oriented. James is my favorite so far! This man went out of his way to come to the basketball court to clean up already chewed gum laying on the court even knowing the risk of covid! Come on guys please give James a raise he deserves it! Pricing here is cheap for membership a 25 bucks a month, only a $50 annual deposit. Personal training here is expensive but that's the offset the cheap costs of membership fee here which is completely fair in the business world! I told someone earlier this is my new home away from home love coming here there's different many different workouts cycling classes Zumba they have a pool hot tub sauna nice locker room they have a vending machine for drinks! Not sure of the cost but my recommendation would be to even sell merchandise here maybe they do and I just haven't asked about it yet! Overall this place is awesome love it glad I got a membership here and I recommend it and refer everyone here it's awesome and only a mile from home and there's a different locations you can work out at depending on where you are! Big improvement from my last gym. Clean, newer equipment, and a larger variety of equipment. Sauna, half basketball court, pool, jacuzzi. The kid area is 3x the size of my last gym, and is neater. Locker rooms are better. Would recommend to my social sphere.

The gym is okay, has most of the workout equipment. I'd like. Missing a few things I feel like I should see at a full gym. The bathrooms are pretty clean, the men's room always seems to have a smell to it though. It's often times difficult to find an open bench during peak hours. The most disappointing thing for me is the child club times. It shows online and in the app that they have morning and evening hours. In reality, they only have evening hours available during the week. This was one of the primary reasons I signed up for the gym. Otherwise it would have gotten four stars.

Great gym, very good personal trainer. If your thinking twice to get training by someone then waste no time go to this location and get it don't by professional, friendly, hardworking trainer. Thanks to my trainer Aaron, he has done a good job and a great trainer. He took me to the next level and he know what he's talking about and when he's Training you! I recommend it to whoever thinking about it. Overall all the staff are great and friendly.

It’s clean and that’s wonderful. The little lady that works here is always working. She is always working. First thing I noticed. When I enter I always greet the folks at the desk, it isn’t consistent with them greeting folks. Hello is a powerful thing. They are younger workers but a hello is nice when someone walks in. I walked in this evening and there was probably 5 workers behind the desk. I walked in with my mother and I said hello everyone. The one fella responded said said he was taking a drink. The one thing I can leave you all is this, you can make a difference but it starts with you! It doesn’t matter if someone greets me, I will always greet them at the desk. A simple smile and hello is a beautiful thing.

All eSporta clubs are failing. LA Fitness was so much better. They weeded out the bums and took care of their clubs. The rebranding has made them barely a hair better than Planet Fitness. This specific location is slightly better than others. Slightly. Beware of the cockroach infestation in the showers (pretty much all locations now)

The gym facility is really awesome in itself, but I joined for the classes and then realized they are pretty much all tailored to people over 65. Get some young people teaching Zumba and other classes with relevant music and then this place would be cool. For now, we're going to cancel our membership.

November 27, 2023 To Whom It May Concern, My name is Robin Womack. I have been working out religiously since joining the Army in 1984. I moved to Florida from the DMV area in April 2019. Since moving to Florida, I could count on one hand how many times I actually worked up a sweat while taking the fitness classes offered at L.A. Fitness, now known as Esporta Fitness. As the weeks in my new city turned into months and the months turned into years, working out no longer brought me the joy and fulfillment it once did. My conclusion was that father time is undefeated, and my glory days were over. I wasn’t seeing any changes in my body or others who attended classes with me on a regular basis. That is until DJ and Mike showed up, breathing new life and excitement into our mundane, repetitious, “soccer mom” workout sessions. Just like the fitness classes offered in Maryland, DJ and Mike show us how much they care by walking around during class to make sure everyone’s form is correct and that we are giving it our all. They motivate us with humor, tough love, words of encouragement, and most important, great music. We sweat profusely, we moan, we groan…but their classes are always packed to capacity. We love them and we hate them at the same damn time. They are our new frenemies. I know all good things must come to an end but if and when DJ and Mike decide to move on to bigger and better things, please replace them with instructors who are just as friendly, professional, persistent, patient, driven, motivated, and caring. I really enjoy Esporta and I really appreciate all people who motivate to others, My coach Michael and others trainers are amazing, very friendly and they always try to help you out with motivations and tips. More expensive than other gyms....trying to decide if it is worth the extra cost

I have been going to Esporta for about a year and it's awesome!! So many fun amenities offered for a fraction of a cost! The spin classes rock!

The facility needs to taken care of better in my opinion. The pool is supposed to be heated but it's been cold every time. I wouldn't even consider using the women's shower area and the bathroom area as a whole just doesn't seem clean. Everything seems really congested in the middle with cardio equipment. Very few classes, and still waiting a return call about training from 2 weeks ago. I miss LA Fitness.

I go every morning before work and everyone is happy and friendly. The front desk woman says hello every time and is always helpful. I would give it 5 stars if it weren't for these reasons, 1. The weights are almost never put back when I go first thing 2. There are some machines I enjoy at other locations that are not here. Otherwise it is relatively clean and the atmosphere is great for working out!

Great gym! I was sceptical when LA FITNESS adopted the name Esporta, but it's a nice, clean gym with state-of-the-art equipment and some amazing classes, including yoga. Glad I found this place! It has great parking, as well as some other nice shops in the same Plaza.

For the price being offered you cannot find a better gym. The staff is very welcoming and knowledgeable and will make sure to answer any questions you might have with your best intent in mind.

I’ve been to several LA fitness locations. This is by far my least favorite. Located in an old building; no fans or TVs. Usually extremely warm inside. They definitely need an upgrade. I’d rather travel farther for a nicer gym that has ac and fans that work

Cleanliness of gym has deterioated. Floors have not been cleaned in the past a days, same dirt under stationary cycle I use. Machines noticeably dirty and have not been cleaned and this is with Covid?. Will cancel and move membership. Would post pics if I could

Spa tub only cleaned two times a week Mondays and Wednesdays. Not everyone properly cleans machines after use, showers and private courts very clean!

Been going to this gym for about 3 years now. The staff is friendly and there’s really not much turnover. They keep it pretty clean and there’s pretty much all the equipment you need including a new turf section. They’ve also started operating under a new brand which lowered their membership pricing and extended their hours to match a lot of their competitors.

Terrible experience! My pregnant best friend and I travel 30 minutes for her boyfriend to play basketball in their gym, the manager who is extremely rude refused to let us in the gym to simply watch them play, not working out not using any equipment or anything! Manager wants us to pay $15 just to sit there and watch our boyfriends play. He also stated people were complaining about us watching the basketball game! Really ridiculous that we’ve been coming to the game for months and now we are a problem? TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

If I could give this gym ZERO stars I would without hesitation. Better yet a negative rating would better suit. I have been attending basketball games at this gym for about 4 weeks now and I have been told something different every single time. The very first time I came to watch my boyfriend’s team play myself and my friend, whose boyfriend is also on the team, were waved right through by the young man at the front desk. Again we are only watching, not using any gym equipment... not even playing just watching. The second week one of the “managers” told us it would be $15 for us to go in and WATCH the game. We told him that last week we were not made aware of a price and we’re just waved through and he said he would let us in this time. Ok cool. The following week we had two printed out guest passes that we gave to Steve, a different manager, and he let us in with no issues. Now today the first manager we encountered gave us a hard time AGAIN and said it would be $15 even though our guest passes were supposed to last 7 days. We explained to him that we presented our passes last week to Steve and 7 days would be today and he said there’s nothing he can do and it’ll be $15. He was very arrogant, rude, and snarky. He then tried to point out that someone had complained about the chair I bought with me to use to watch the game. Keep in mind I am SIX months pregnant. I would much rather sit in my chair than the filthy ant covered floor they have in the basketball court. I highly doubt anyone complained about the chair, he just wanted to find any reason to argue with me. The lack of consistency and professionalism is ridiculous and the exact reason why I refuse to get a gym membership at this,or any, LA Fitness.

Good gym

We love this gym. The place is clean and the temperature is great inside during these cold months. There is a lot of equipment and we have never had to wait for a machine even when the place is crowded.

Great place. They have everything you need and keep adding. Friendly staff. They keep it extremely clean. I signed up with Jay. He treats me as a guest and not a number. My wife loves all the group classes they offer.

This is a great gym that is clean and not too crowded. The staff keep the place very clean and the General Manager is always walking around and checking things. Mike the assistant Sales manager is very informative without being pushy. Great price and great Gym. Get there and get healthy!!! ..Ben
