Please stay away from this place. I went in for a body wave for my daughter and possibly a keratin treatment for myself. Kevin quoted me $120 for my daughter’s perm. He said a keratin would be $280 or $360 depending on the treatment I chose. I decided not to do the keratin treatment but for the rest of the time I was at the salon, Kevin kept pushing me to do the keratin, showing me videos and pictures and continually lowering the price (lunar new year special, he said) to a rock bottom $220. I said no thanks. It was very uncomfortable. When my daughter was done, her hair was moderately wavy. Although it didn’t look anything like the pictures we showed him, we left satisfied that she had some waves. I tipped Kevin and the shampoo guy generously. When we returned home, the waves had loosened; a few hours later, it loosened even more (see first 2 pics). The day after, it was only slightly wavy (3rd pic). After washing on the 3rd day as Kevin instructed, all the waves were gone and her hair was rougher and frizzier than before the perm (4th pic). I brought her back to the salon the following week to show Kevin. I requested a refund for her perm ($120) because her hair was in worse condition and appearance than before I brought her to his salon. He refused, rolling his eyes at me and raising his voice. He offered to redo her hair and I declined, seriously afraid of the further damage he would cause. I genuinely regret coming to this salon. Upon further examining their licenses, it turns out they are licensed in cosmetology only. They are not color specialists or truly understand the chemical processing of hair. The shampoo guy that was applying chemicals to customer’s hair has a temporary license that is soon expiring. Please look for another salon. There are better options in the area.

I decided to look for a new salon as I usually go to a salon on 63rd drive. In Rego Park. Although they were great, they charge triple the amount for services. I walked in and was paired with Cally (hope this is the correct spelling). He was authentic, professional and dedicated. He gave me the best cut and Color I have ever had. The price was one third of what my old hairdresser charged and the outcome was beautiful. Fan for Life!

I especially like getting my hair cut here. It's a great salon. Kevin is very experienced in perm. I really like this perm. I come here all the time to get my hair cut, and he does it perfectly. So I highly recommend this store

As someone who has wavy, thick hair it is hard to find a good hair salon with fair prices. I’ve been here twice so far and have loved the outcome of my hair each time. The first time Kevin cut my hair and gave me curtain bangs with beautiful layers and a beautiful blow out. The second time Shi who happens to be new but would 100% recommend as well had cut my hair and gave me such a beautiful hair cut and styled my hair so beautifully. Each time I have left very satisfied and have gotten a lot of compliments. The lady who washed my hair both times was also so sweet and gave a thorough head massage. Overall I rate this place 10/10, not only are they good at what they do but extremely friendly which is very important in any place. Will be coming back here when I decide to change my look again lol

Kevin is very professional, I am completely at ease with the haircut, the sister who washes the hair is also very friendly, and the store is very clean overall. I've had Kevin help me with all the shows I've attended, and I highly recommend him!

Finding good salon with good and professional staff is tough but I found this salon which exceeds my expectations. Everyone is super friendly,nice and professional. Especially COCO who did my botox treatment though it didn't came out all perfect I had to go back to her and she didn't disappoint me, she listened and took care of me. She is the best. Am glad I have found this place.

I really like this place. They're clean, affordable, polite, and just really good overall. I've gotten my daughter's hair straightened here twice and gotten my hair cut. We both love it

I think I'll be coming here more often! The staff was super friendly, they even let me eat inside the salon. They know a lot about hair and are very professional, and they give great haircuts! They were a bit rough but knew how to get the job done! Timing was average, but the time it took straightening hair was a lot shorter than most salons! My hair has never looked this great!

Great experience and talented stylist (Vivian). First of all, the price for a short/medium haircut ($45) is super reasonable. The shampoo included a really nice head and neck massage and Vivian cut and styled my hair very well. She wad also personable and very straightforward with her advice about what would look good and not good for my hair type. I plan to go back to Y-F.

I recently visited this place for a haircut and was thoroughly impressed. Kevin, listened to what I wanted and provided excellent suggestions. The atmosphere in the salon was welcoming and comfortable, and the staff was incredibly friendly. My haircut turned out exactly as I hoped - stylish and easy to manage. The prices were reasonable for the quality of service. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

I went to Y-F elegant feeling nervous about trying a new hair color. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel at ease. Kevin was not only skilled but also very reassuring throughout the process. The salon was clean, had a modern decor, and played relaxing music. I was amazed at how Kevin transformed my hair with beautiful highlights that perfectly suited my complexion. The price was a bit higher than I usually pay, but absolutely worth it for the confidence boost I received. I've already booked my next appointment!
