We (girlfriend and I) usually head to Dumas Bay wildlife sanctuary but for the first time checked out the Centre. First off, everyone needs to check out the sanctuary, secondly, how in the world did we just now find the Centre?? Man it was cool. The trees are crazy cool there, the view points are amazing, the flowers are stunning, and we lucked out and saw two baby snakes basking in the sun. It was cool! It's a big open place that you can bring your furballs to (we lucked out and got to play with six pups these two ladies were walking Thank you!). There are signs posted to remind you to take your valuables out of your car (I do get annoyed for people leaving negative reviews because they're the ones that left valuables in their car and then their car gets prowled). We went on a clear day and it was just beautiful!

I grew up down the street from here, and have spent hundreds, if not thousands of hours here since I was 6 years old. Now I'm 31 and I take my daughter here. Whether that's seeing one of the plays, taking drawing lessons as a kid, ballet lessons for my daughter, riding bikes or running around, playing hide and seek, or just flying kites in the field. Its been an integral part of my families life. Its an underrated gem in the area, tucked away by the beach, and it deserves more attention and love than it gets. I want to thank Knutsen Family Theatre, which used to be a nunnery, for bringing culture and a beautiful place to be and learn for the community. Today we rented a room for my grandfathers funeral, and it was beautiful. It has nature, its well maintained and clean, a safe place to be. I just wish they would fix the pathway to the beach, it used to be open when I was a kid, but now its been closed for years. Its a small complaint that doesnt mean much when you see the big picture of what the centre provides.

Our family really enjoyed this place. Couldn't believe we lived in Federal Way for four years before discovering it. We were at a different park and the lady picking up the trash told us about Dumas Bay. It is behind a building that almost looks abandoned. There is a green with several picnic tables and then 70 steps down to the shore overlooking the Sound. The whole beach is covered in several inches of shells, sand dollars, ect... You can watch muscles squirting water up on the beach. It's just a nature wonder, but not much of a relaxing place except up on the green. The green also has a gazebo. Doesn't seem to have much traffic. I'm sure we'll be back.

I spent two nights there. It is a beautiful place. I had some lovely walks. Saw Canada Geese in a V formation land on the lawn in their typical V pattern. It was amazing. I watched three mama ducks, all with ducklings make there way close to shore as they prepared to gather on the shore and take refuge for the night in the brambles. I was there on a retreat and the weather was wonderful and so was the retreat.

We just hosted our company party at the Dumas Bay Centre and it was a perfect venue to hold our number of guests. David was the contact that helped with my inquiry and helped reserve our party. We were welcomed with our company name and party details on their TV projector screen at the front desk. The other gentleman at the desk that day (didn't get his name) was also friendly and was quick to help open the door for the room so we could set up before our guests arrived. The venue was clean, welcoming, and lots of window light everywhere. Restrooms were clean and the Osprey room that we rented was nice and clean as well. It came with six round tables with chairs already staged where we needed them. All I brought were tablecloths and some table decorations. Clean up was a breeze. They also allowed us to leave our bagged trash there which was nice. I would rent there again!

Friendly staff, clean rooms, and wonderful view. The grounds are well kept. I felt serene and rejuvenated during my stay.
