I'm
giving
this
shop
2
stars
because
the
plant
bundles
were
healthy
and
fairly
cheap.
But
to
be
fair,
plants
do
tend
to
like
decomposing
animals,
and
there
was
plenty
of
that
in
nearly
every
tank
in
the
store.
The
goldfish
were
crammed
together
in
a
tiny
tank,
all
of
which
were
breathing
heavily
in
thick,
cloudy
water.
Dead
loaches,
cories,
bettas,
plecos,
shrimp,
nearly
every
tank
had
one
or
more
dead
animals
in
it.
If
they
had
one
in
the
store,
there
was
bound
to
be
another
one
dead
somewhere.
The
entire
place
stank
of
cigarettes,
and
there
were
empty
beer
bottles
on
the
counter
and
littered
across
the
shelves
when
I
visited.
Mice
and
other
animals
not
listed
as
feeders
were
kept
in
disgusting
condition.
Some
of
the
tanks
without
overhead
lids
reeked
of
ammonia
as
well,
which
is
no
surprise
when
there's
fish
rotten
away
to
the
bone
sitting
at
the
bottom
of
the
displays.
The
employees
are
questionable
at
best,
the
information
I
saw
them
dishing
out
was
highly
inaccurate.
The
main
cashier
recommended
yoyo
loaches
(small,
fragile
tropical
fish)
to
a
customer
looking
for
a
tankmate
for
their
ryukin
goldfish
(large,
coldwater
fish
that
would
easily
kill
or
eat
a
loach,
even
if
only
out
of
curiosity).
They
also
recommended
new
saltwater
tank
owners
perform
a
fish
in
cycle
-which
is
a
highly
unsuccessful
method
of
cycling
a
new
set
up.
This
also
typically
results
in
dead
fish,
as
they
succumb
to
the
stress
of
an
unitrified
environment
before
you
can
establish
an
appropriate
system.
It
really
sounded
like
the
owners
were
just
saying
anything
to
get
their
potential
customers
to
impulse
buy
animals,
and
coma
back
later
for
more
when
things
didn't
work
out.
I
left
feeling
pretty
disgusted
after
seeing
and
hearing
all
I
did.
I
plan
on
returning
sometime
soon
to
see
if
anything
has
changed,
but
I
highly
doubt
it.
I've
reviewed
numerous
pet
supply
shops,
especially
fish
shops,
and
I
would
never
recommend
this
place
to
anyone
looking
for
information
regarding
fishkeeping.
Check
out
Age
of
Aquariums
(Long
Beach),
Tiki's
Tropical
Fish
(Bellflower),
or
Hong
Kong
Fish
(Norwalk)
for
some
amazing
animal
care
tips,
cheap
supplies,
and
responsible
sellers.
It's
hard
to
even
compare
those
shops
to
this
one,
the
difference
in
quality
is
pretty
unbelievable.
They
deserve
your
business
more
than
this
place
does.
