I'm not a fan of mead but still wanted to check this place out as they have other drink options. Definitely a cute date night spot. We caught the last couple minutes of a jam session that was going on. Cool place!

We’ve gone to the Honey Moon since about 2010 and are regularly telling people about how great their mead is. This is not your typical mead that just tastes like sugar syrup. This is complex and nuanced mead, with many varieties to choose from. The Wassail is our go to and if they have it the Reserve that was aged in bourbon barrels cannot be missed. The space is beautiful and cozy, with great local musicians all the time. This is a top three favorite bars of all time for us, just perfect.

Overall it is a delightful little neighborhood spot with a nice selection of small plates, mead & ciders, and seasonal cocktails. I am happy that the owners reached out regarding an unfortunate interaction I witnessed between one of their bartenders and a member of the community with disabilities - it seems like they are making an effort to improve their accessibility & inclusion practices. I have enjoyed the atmosphere of Honey Moon and their small, intimate shows for over a decade, so I am happy that they continue to work to build community in various ways.

Always a great experience here. The weekly open-mic is beautiful and really gives you a sense of the tight-knit folk art community of Bellingham. The bar staff are friendly, the drinks are yummy, and the food is amazing. Come for a show sometime. You'll love it.

Hmmm, was looking forward to visiting, yet disappointed. The young gal was quite busy having an animated conversation with two patrons at the bar and I barely got her attention. The older gentlemen seemed to be completely uninterested in giving anyone attention, including the gal serving me. Considering that I only drink local mead or PNW hard cider, I was hoping for, "Hi, Welcome, have you been here before? Have you ever had our mead/cider ??" Or" can I suggest a 'flight'??". Oh well, I'll go back to Sky River Mead or Artivem or Seattle Mead (in Anacortes!). S k'a' l !!

I love this place because it reminds me of a place I would have a pint in a D&D game. The mead was tasty, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere was great. We went when there wad live music - which was perfect. There was no extra seating, we had to wait. It was worth it. I can’t wait to go back!

My girlfriend and I went to the Honey Moon on our US road trip. I am a huge fan of mead and she enjoys cider, which was a great combination. The server (I didn’t catch their name, but she had purple hair) was very kind, approachable, and provided excellent service. The quality of the mead and cider was also excellent and they gave fairly good portions on the flights. The owner “Murph” came up to us at the table and asked how everything was, he was very nice and welcoming. I gotta say, it’s one of the best places I’ve been to, and I would highly recommend going!

I enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere, and the live music nights are a great opportunity to hear local artists. However, it does tend to be quite loud both inside and out of the bar, to a point that seems inconsiderate of the several apartment buildings which share the alley with Honeymoon, especially for late weekday nights.

I have always loved playing open mics and attending special events at the Honeymoon because the community is tight-knit and very welcoming. I love this little room so much and can't help but keep returning to it. You will have some special times there - I certainly have! Also, the mead and cider can't be beat.

More jazz please! Thursday night jams are such a vibe. This is such a cozy place to enjoy great mead and great tunes.

Excellent everything! Great mead, great service, tasty snack. Open mic is always a nice treat. 11/10 Casual but super nice, probably good for dates too. Cyser is a must try, during the colder months the hot spiced Mead is exactly what you need.

An absolute gem. Always a great spot for a glass or a case of mead. Make sure to try them all!

We stopped into Honey Moon Alley Bar & Ciderhouse (New Name?) on our night of bar hopping around Bellingham. Small, but cute, Honey Moon provided a cozy place to imbibe. Because of its small space, my loud voice may reverberate too much. At least I had that feeling. The Honey Moon has live music occasionally, but get there early, because the place is small. I did mention that. The Honey Moon Alley Bar and Ciderhouse is just another fun place in the surprisingly urbane city of Bellingham.

Sweet low key vibe, great acoustic music, tasty meads & ciders, and friendly faces.
