Second time for breakfast here. The food hasn’t disappointed. Our first visit was during the middle of Covid, and we returned this past weekend for breakfast. To dine indoors, they are still asking for proof of vaccination and a mask. However, for outdoor dining neither is required. This place has amazing food and portions for the prices. I’ve had the classic breakfast both times, and it’s hit the spot. My partner has loved the eggs Benedict both times. The service was a little slow, but that’s the new normal. They had mentioned that the food would be 30’ish minutes before we were seated. We decided to stay and enjoy the morning sitting outside. There is a little store on the inside to get some snack, beer, sodas, etc. Street parking has been pretty easy to find both times.

Love this place! Super quaint neighborhood market with 9 tables and counter service inside, plus quiet outdoor areas as well! Oh and the best chicken and waffles in the city! I’m so glad I came here after a huge disappointment at The Filling Station. Picture is burger dip with salad. Superb! And at the right $. Pleasant, friendly service, always.

Wow! We were super impressed with this joint tucked away in the letters streets of the York neighborhood. Fast! Fresh! And THE BEST soy mocha I've ever had which was served in a beer mug. We enjoyed veggie bennies with a side of veggies, toast and jelly and the most heavenly potatoes ever, all while basking in the sun in a warm spring morning gazing at the gorgeous apple blossoms and tulips. Thanks to Tristan and the super-friendly staff for making us feel like we were on the best vacation in our own backyard.

We came for breakfast and ordered chicken and waffles, pancakes, corn beef hash. All our food tasted great. We came here after it was recommended to us by our Uber driver and it was a great recommendation for our last meal in Bellingham! Servers were kind and attentive. The restaurant is attached to a small market. Very quaint. Casual dining. Prices are fair.

The food there is awesome, better than I expected. Even though it is bit pricey than other regular breakfast place. Their service is great too. I ordered 2 Omelette, one with black bean, one with potatoes. Both are sausage, which their sausage is very special than others. They have small parking lot, street parking usually is not a problem.

Came for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 9:30, we were greeted immediately and the hostess let us sit where we wanted. Our waitress was really sweet and made sure to check on us often. We got the eggs Benedict and the breakfast style country fried steak. We are from out of town and wanted to have a tasty and hearty meal before driving back to Seattle for the day. Let me tell you that this diner will be the closest thing you’ll ever get to eating great home cooked food while you are traveling. The service was amazing and the conversation was lovely. The market offered regular convenience store items and had cute old-fashion decor. They have booth, table and outdoor seating. Can’t wait to come back!

I searched online for breakfast spots in Bellingham. This cafe was the first on a list that I found online. We drove a little over an hour to check it out and weren’t disappointed. The omelette and country fried steak were all excellent. The sausage gravy in particular was on point. The sourdough toast was really good. Great service too. The atmosphere felt like experiencing Americana from a bygone time.

Lunch was 5 * - 2nd time we've been there. Ate on side patio, shady and quiet. Reuben excellent with exceptional sauerkraut. Side salad large and tasty with feta, mixed baby greens, craisins, house dressing. My husband had pulled pork on bun with house coleslaw. Lots of pork in tangy bbcue sauce. Service good. Portions large. Be aware they are requiring proof of vac and masks to sit inside!

Place has a cool ambience. But our breakfast was very lack luster. We waited for over a half hour in an nearly empty restaurant for lukewarm food. Eggs underdone, soggy potatoes. Biscuit was stale and gravy was gluey and underseasoned. Very expensive for what you get. Might be better for lunch, I'd avoid their breakfast.

Great food (both the eggs benedict and the breakfast burrito were tasty), great coffee, and super friendly staff. Highly recommend.

A great neighborhood spot for breakfast unless you're in a hurry. The food is great, the service is always friendly and you can grab a bottle of wine or other essentials for home.

Reopened under new ownership, though, with much the same vibe. Tasty cafe/diner food, coffee, and local beers -- Bud neon sign notwithstanding.

Lovely neighborhood diner. Ordered the phở burger special and it was perhaps the best burger I've ever had. Maybe I was just hungry. Nelson's also has some of the best fries in town.

Cute comfy great atmosphere for a neighborhood store /restaurant! Pleasantly surprised!! The Classic breakfast was delicious and the raspberry jam to die for!! Lived in Bellingham for 38 years never been here before. My husband and I will make it our go to for breakfast when in town♡

We waited an hour for our food that we saw sit for 15 minutes getting cold before we were served and they forgot one of the orders from our party. It wasn’t even too busy and they seemed well staffed. We received no sort of “sorry for your wait” and when I tried to flag down the waitress for boxes after being there for an hour and 45 minutes she glared at me. The food was under seasoned, and did arrive cold. I rarely leave reviews on restaurants but felt this one was warranted. If there was a check in or apology for our clearly bad service I wouldn’t be so upset.

This is a great place to come to on Fri or Sat. Irish band tonight. Tap and can beers. Snacks or you can order food. This fish and chips were great. Reminds me of th corner grocery store when I was a kid. Worth a visit on the weekend. Honestly when I come back I will always come here for a beer. Be sure to come before 6 pm to get a seat.

I walked into Marlin’s Cafe looking to order take-out. Initially I was thinking breakfast, but I ended up deciding on the pulled-pork sandwich. The greeter/host of the cafe was helpful and kind. Sounds like someone was stepping in for the cook today. Whoever it was, they did a great job. I asked for extra carrot slaw on the side and they were able to help me out. Giving this place 5 stars for the service and kindness. Taking one star off because they don’t serve breakfast all day. Other than that, this is one of the best personable cafe’s in Bellingham. Would recommend!

Best home made corn beef hash I have had in years. Service was great and friendly. Owner took the time to introduce himself and visit. Historic ambiance reminded me of simpler times, slower pace and real diner food. Definitely will go back for more.

Friendly atmosphere with great quality food and perfect serving size. I am not into fries, but I really liked their house-cut fries. Give their mushroom burger a try if you’re into burgers.
