As
I
walked
into
this
establishment,
I
was
greeted
by
a
deep
mustard
yellow
themed
restaurant.
It's
lower
walls
had
the
running
yellow
theme
going
on
while
the
upper
half
comprised
of
some
neon
lights
in
the
colors
of
what
I
would
describe
as
the
Mexican
flag
(red,
white
and
green).
The
green
neon
reflected
off
the
cream
white
walls
making
it
appear
like
mintish
green.
I
should
had
realized
that
the
yellowish
walls
were
only
a
foreshadowing
of
what
was
to
come.
I
curiously
made
my
way
towards
to
counter
to
place
my
order,
while
I
walked
I
couldn't
help
but
think
I
was
transported
back
to
my
parent's
hometown
of
Mexico
City.
When
I
made
my
way
to
the
counter,
I
was
greeted
by
a
sign
bigger
than
my
70
inch
OLED
LG
SMART
TV.
It
took
me
mere
seconds
to
order
as
I
found
my
self
attracted
to
the
Pollo
en
Salsa
Verde.
Chicken
in
green
sauce
is
my
favorite
and
I
knew
I
had
to
try
it.
Placed
my
order
with
a
kind
young
man
whom
I
assumed
to
be
French.
He
politely
shared
some
french
with
me
and
asked
if
I
wanted
it
'A
la
carte'.
Since
I
have
never
been
to
France,
I
just
nodded
my
head
and
said
'Oui'.
He
gave
me
a
bowl
of
tortilla
chips,
while
some
on
google
might
describe
the
taste
like
'bland
cardboard',
I
however,
disagree.
The
taste
was
a
little
bit
salty
with
a
slight
hint
of
spices.
It
was
like
heaven
on
a
bite
of
chip.
No
more
than
10
minutes
passed
before
I
was
given
my
order.
It
smelt
amazing
and
I
immediately
scarfed
it
all
down.
The
beans
and
rice
were
both
phenomenal
pairings
to
the
chicken.
However,
the
beans
were
a
bit
too
watery
for
my
liking.
I
love
me
some
thicc
beans.
Upon
finishing,
my
stomach
informed
me
that
it
needed
to
visit
the
restroom.
While
I
marched
my
way
up
towards
the
male
bathroom,
it
was
to
my
horror
that
I
have
discovered
it
was
used.
Panicked
I
rushed
to
the
female
bathroom
and
said
a
quick
prayer
before
stepping
in.
The
restroom
consists
of
a
toilet,
sink,
and
mirror.
Had
the
basic
things
you
would
expect
to
find
in
any
regular
old
restroom.
I
smiled
as
I
saw
the
beautiful
blue
and
while
tile
work
on
the
walls,
the
theme
never
ends.
Mere
minutes
later,
I
left
the
restroom
and
the
restaurant,
not
before
taking
one
last
look
and
wiff
of
the
air.
I
will
be
back.
Mark
my
words.
This
is
one
of
the
most
amazing
places
on
earth.
IF
you
come
here
YOU
have
to
try
the
Pollo
en
Salsa
Verde.
