Finally visited this restaurant! Our other locale changed their special so we stopped in here. A very swanky joint, with a huge menu. Order at the counter, take your number and find a seat. An awesome salsa bar to hit up while you wait, which won't be long ;) portions are nice and prices are decent.

Good Mexican food, fun atmosphere, and a little different. We stopped in for lunch. The chicken tamale and carnitas tacos were wonderful. The tortillas were homemade -- kudos! But the Al Pastor burrito was not so great; the meat was more like goulash and a tad watery, which didn't work very well in a burrito (probably better in a taco). The rice and beans were good. Overall, the food was tasty and a welcome variation on standard Mexican fare. We enjoyed the location and the festive, spacious dining room. Very cheerful and bright. Pay-first counter service seems like a mismatch for such a nice-looking restaurant. But the table delivery was quick and courteous. We'll be back for sure, and I recommend you try this place.

Excellent fare for the price. I got the Chile Relleno which came in a delicious broth, I'd never had it served that way before and now it just might be my favorite! Carnitas were also excellent, great value. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town to explore the rest of the menu!

Stopped by and grabbed a burrito asada with rice and beans to go. Order took around 8 minutes or so, total came out to 18 dollars. There was a one dollar to-go fee. Nice space, had bathrooms, a salsa bar, and plenty of seating. Good atmosphere and customer service, the employees seemed like friendly people. The burrito was serviceable, but I don't think it was worth the money. A Que Tacos has a supreme burrito for $8 that's probably a third larger. However Taco Lobo is downtown, has plenty of seating, and shows sports for those who are into watch tv while they eat. All in all, nice spot, but I doubt I'll go back.

Very good regional Mexican food, with a light, clean taste. Unfortunately, their vegan options have all-but disappeared. Still, a salad with avocado instead of chicken and a bowl of veggie beans or a veggie burrito is available. May not appeal to those used to Americanized dishes topped with tons of cheese. The salsa bar can't be beat.

My partner and I ate here today. We had the fish tacos. Staff was excellent a cozy lunch spot. The tortillas phenomenal. That's where the fun ended. I try not to be rude but it was an undeniable seasoning issue here. My food clearly tasted of "Past prime" vegetables My partner was a bit more harsh comparing it to wetdog. WE LOVED THE TORTILLAS!!

Consistently good food at this downtown restaurant. We eat lunch here at least twice a month. The portions are big so you can take away leftovers for the next day. They don't really have table service. You go up to the counter and order, then go select a table and they'll bring it out to you. I like that when im on my lunch break because my order gets taken quickly. They have a little salsa bar with 3 or 4 choices, so you can serve yourself the kind and amount you want. It's a nice little spot to have lunch on your own, or with some friends!

I don't like to say these negative comments, but my friend and I both agree. We did not care for the flavors of the green salsa, the guacamole, the tortilla chips, chicken burrito or the enchiladas. Atmosphere and colors were great. And the Margarita on the Rocks was Excellent. But I'm sorry to say we won't be returning, unless it's for a Margarita and a Cerveza.

Taco Lobo is a gem in Bellingham! The flavors of their tacos are outstanding, especially the carne asada. The vibrant atmosphere and friendly staff make dining here a pleasure. Prices are reasonable, and the portions are generous. I highly recommend trying their homemade salsas, which add a perfect kick to your meal. A must-visit for any taco lover!

This place has a good atmosphere, excellent food, and a variety of great salsas, free salsa bar. And you get a basket of chips for each order. Everything I go to Bellingham I go to this place. I believe it's closed on Sunday, or at least when I have been there on a Sunday. Park out front or around, there is street parking as well as parking lot nearby.

Not even worth 1 star! We ordered, and they gave us the number and said the server will bring the food to the table. We’ve been waiting and waiting and realized other folks who ordered after us got the food, I was curious where’s my orders. we’ve been waiting more than 30mins and had to go! I started thinking about Is this racism? Is this poor service? 1. Where’s the apology? 2. Make better excuse rather than “our kitchen is busy”. (You had 2tables occupied- how busy the store is!) 3. You cant refund on the order as the food was made? The manager, whose name Bill apologized but I feel 0% he feels sorry to me. Two burritos paid $35 so regretful, I should have gone burgers instead.

Great Birra and the manager comped my labrador a plate too (so she wouldn't miss out).

Got two burritos to go and maybe it's a preference thing but they definitely didn't hit the spot for me or my friend. Figured a place that's been open for so long downtown would be pretty good but 🤷‍♂️.

It's my first time eating here. I had the chicken mold lunch special. It was almost inedible. The chicken itself was moist but flavorless. The molè was really off. I suspect that the base was ketchup mixed with unsweetened cocoa and cayenne pepper. Just weird. There was as much service as one would get at a McDonald's except they carried my food to my table and then I never saw them again. I tipped 20% for it since it's the kind of establishment that you order and pay at the same time.

Easy going, decent food. Good size portions. I did see the tortillas being hand made, that's a plus. Plenty of seating and tables. Salas bar had only 3 options. Atmosphere was clean and inviting.

Disappointed. Order two veggie burritos. Small portions, mostly tortilla raw onion and cilantro, neither which were listed on the menu. For just two burritos with no drinks we paid $25.

The rice was delicious and well flavored, the tostadas were huge and very delicious too! Highly recommend if you’re ever in the area!

Long time customer (15+ years) but may not be going back again. Took my family for dinner on Tuesday. My 12 yr old ordered cheese enchiladas (she doesn't eat meat). When the food came they had given her chicken instead. No problem. Mistakes happen. I took the plate back and politely told them she ordered cheese. Guy who took our order (Harley jacket) came over to our table and gruffly said to my 12yr old, "next time order the right thing, ok." I responded, "she did. She ordered cheese. She doesn't eat meat." He walked away grumbling. No apology. What a terrible way to treat customers. Really strange and rude. Apparently, he is an owner. Won't be getting my money again.

Would put zero if I could. Tried to place an online order - apparently they don’t take them. The guy on the phone was extremely rude and hung up on me twice when I tried to clarify. This was my first time going back there since they screwed up my takeout order and treated me as if I were trying to scam them by getting a replacement (I got meat on a vegetarian order).

As I walked into this establishment, I was greeted by a deep mustard yellow themed restaurant. It's lower walls had the running yellow theme going on while the upper half comprised of some neon lights in the colors of what I would describe as the Mexican flag (red, white and green). The green neon reflected off the cream white walls making it appear like mintish green. I should had realized that the yellowish walls were only a foreshadowing of what was to come. I curiously made my way towards to counter to place my order, while I walked I couldn't help but think I was transported back to my parent's hometown of Mexico City. When I made my way to the counter, I was greeted by a sign bigger than my 70 inch OLED LG SMART TV. It took me mere seconds to order as I found my self attracted to the Pollo en Salsa Verde. Chicken in green sauce is my favorite and I knew I had to try it. Placed my order with a kind young man whom I assumed to be French. He politely shared some french with me and asked if I wanted it 'A la carte'. Since I have never been to France, I just nodded my head and said 'Oui'. He gave me a bowl of tortilla chips, while some on google might describe the taste like 'bland cardboard', I however, disagree. The taste was a little bit salty with a slight hint of spices. It was like heaven on a bite of chip. No more than 10 minutes passed before I was given my order. It smelt amazing and I immediately scarfed it all down. The beans and rice were both phenomenal pairings to the chicken. However, the beans were a bit too watery for my liking. I love me some thicc beans. Upon finishing, my stomach informed me that it needed to visit the restroom. While I marched my way up towards the male bathroom, it was to my horror that I have discovered it was used. Panicked I rushed to the female bathroom and said a quick prayer before stepping in. The restroom consists of a toilet, sink, and mirror. Had the basic things you would expect to find in any regular old restroom. I smiled as I saw the beautiful blue and while tile work on the walls, the theme never ends. Mere minutes later, I left the restroom and the restaurant, not before taking one last look and wiff of the air. I will be back. Mark my words. This is one of the most amazing places on earth. IF you come here YOU have to try the Pollo en Salsa Verde.

My margarita was up to Snuff, but to not include complimentary chips and salsa is absurd. Totally against traditional cantina etiquette. Even asking for them after the fact, I recieved nothing. At the conclusion of my visit was I offered what should have been before my drink! Taco Lowball.

I ordered a margarita which was pretty good lots of alcohol. And I also ordered the quesadillas which came out a lot different than I was used to. I didn't like the fact that it had boiled chicken on it and lettuce. They should have put that in the description before I ordered it, because thenI would not have ordered it

I ordered some tacos and a torta. I liked the salsa bar but I didn't really like what I got. The tacos had less flavor than I was expecting. The torta came on a hoagie roll, not the usual torta bread that I've gotten at other places, and I wasn't a fan of the birria. Most taco trucks I've been to have better food than what I got today.
