I thought this restaurant was brand new, turns out it's only new to me(kinda disappointed thought I was on top of things..oh well). I was the planner for dinner.I decided on Saltines, lucky for me,I had serious foodies with me. What a pleasant surprise. The restaurant is small, homey and oh so comfortable. We had a baby on-board, the owners and staff were so welcoming and accommodating to our needs, heart warming really to be treated so well. Moving on,the menu is interesting, limited with changing specials. We tried 4 different entries, 2 different salads and sampled each other's food...Excellent! I had the house red,2 different signature cocktails were ordered all were superior. I truly recommend this place,I'll be back, not a threat a promise.

The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We ordered the pea risotto, steak and frites, chicken with potato puree, and a cheese plate. Everything was exceptional, fresh and we will definitely be going back often. One of our new favorite restaurants. Their drinks menu is great as well, lots of different options for alcoholic beverages or non-alcoholic beverages. Highly recommend.

From the presentation to the taste of their food, everything is top tier, not just in Bellingham, but in the northwest.

Saltine is probably the best restaurant in Bellingham. The ambience is sophisticated, the staff is very friendly and the food is sublime. We've visited many times and managed to eat through the entire menu. The bouillabaisse is as good as in Paris, the prosciutto wrapped chicken is crispy and tender at the same time, and all the other dishes are terrific. Backing the delicious food is an excellent wine list and a full bar with fun cocktails. Highly recommended.

On my second attempt we finally got a table...the first time was in the middle of dinner and we had a group of 5 which inevitably was difficult to accommodate right then and there. I'm glad I got to experience this. Upon walking in you instantly get the clean, crisp, and new feels. Very refreshing. Our first drink was the Saltini which was delicious but the Naked and Famous was by far the best. The service was excellent, informative and not pretentious. The menu is small but offers everything from finger/sharing portions to a feast individually. Definitely worth a shot and I hope nothing but the best for them.

Great drinks! The cocktail menue had so many delicious sounding drinks. I tried the Saltini and Mayan mule. Food was great also. Good service. Atmosphere was nice. Highly recommend if you haven't stopped by yet.

One of the best meals I've had in months! I went to Saltine with my wife to celebrate my birthday and definitely feel like we picked the perfect place! We each started with Old Fashioneds, which were solid. We ordered salmon carpaccio to enjoy with our drinks, which was a nice change from the standard salmon dishes served in the area. Then the meal came: my wife ordered the mushroom risotto and I ordered the pork tenderloin with ratatouille and fried polenta. The risotto was good. The tenderloin was AMAZING! The pork was perfectly cooked and nice and moist. I was initially worried that the peppers of the ratatouille would overpower the pork, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The ratatouille paired perfectly with the pork, and the rosemary in the polenta brought the entire dish together in both flavor and texture masterfully. Overall, it was a fantastic pick to spend my birthday!

Cute place for lunch, dinner, dates, etc. Very small, one bathroom, usually packed with a line out the door.

Best fine dining in Bellingham. The intimate setting is the perfect place for a date or if you craving good food. The prices are very affordable and the staff is extremely attentive.

We did take out here last Friday. Their food keeps getting better. The country pate was house made, served with grainy and smooth mustard, and loads of cornichons with crispy buttered toast and it was a generous serving, enough for 5 or 6 to share. I'm going to get a baguette next time to have with the pate, the toasts are great but almost too rich. The lamb shank was tender and falling off the bone, with flavor you can only get with a long braise. The polenta served with the lamb was creamy and rich. Great dish. The chicken wrapped in prosciutto was cooked perfectly, crispy outside and very juicy inside. Really excellent. The 9 layer lasagna had house made pasta and both marinara and pesto sauce. The meat in the lasagna was on the spicy side. A generous serving that could be shared by two if not too hungry. Probably the best takeout we've had since the apocalypse started. Treat yourself and order dinner from these guys, completely worth it and you deserve it.

This is the best restaurant in Bellingham and I've never had a dish I didn't love. The food is beautifully prepared and perfectly seasoned. Nothing is boring here and even classic dishes soar. The atmosphere is warm Scandi and fits the simplicity of the seasonal menu.
