Absolutely amazing food! And great service! Are waitress was very nice and did a great job. Nice clean environment and lovely art to look at. I don’t recommend going late at night however because they were out of a lot of options. The Mac & cheese was so good! I’ve never had better!

BBB is an institution and if for no other reason than they have been making solid craft beer since like the dawn of time you should definitely check it out. food: salmon chowder and it was (as always) good. beer: had the NZ lager and it was really nice — one of the best beers i’ve had there. three stars for the insane noise level of the space made infinitely worse by a screaming baby (don’t get me wrong… babies are fine, but screaming babies in an echo-prone room is incomprehensibly annoying). all this to say, the overall experience was chaotic, but in general have always had a good time here.

I was referred here by someone in my hotel. I asked where I could get good chowder, and they told me if you are looking for something different you should try the smoked salmon chowder there. I’m so glad I did. It was great and so was the local beer selection. Service was friendly and helpful. And bonus… I got to bring home local souvenir craft beer to my husband that he cannot get anywhere else.

Delicious food and charming atmosphere. Impeccable service. I started off with the Mango Berry Blast Juicy Sour and my husband had the Ice Ice Baby Cold IPA. I had the Mama Js BBQ Pork sandwich with a side Harvest Salad. Both were absolutely delicious. My husband had the Keg Burger, which was cooked to a medium rare, exactly how my husband likes it (he didn’t request it cooked this way, it just came like that which was a pleasant surprise) and the roasted potatoes. The only reason I took one star off was because the deck area was completely covered, with no view of the nearby waterfront and there was barely any apparel left to purchase ( I was looking forward to finally getting the famed Boundary Bay hoodie and all that was left were two hoodies in size XS so I left empty handed 😭😭😭).

Boundary Bay is a Bellingham staple. The food is always very good. The harvest salad is great as are the yam enchiladas and the beef stew. The wait times hinder me from going here however. Last time I was told a 30 min wait while I looked at a half empty restaurant. Today on a Wednesday at 5:35 I was told 5 or 10 minutes and there were 14 free tables and 5 seated tables. I’m not sure their front of house system, but it’s too long to wait and I’m not going to do this again. There are other solid food options and especially breweries in walking distance if the wait time is too long.

Just stopped in for a quick pint and a pretzel. The beer was tasty. The pretzel was ok…it had the frozen texture to it. The other food coming out looked good. They have outdoor seating and a beautiful beer garden. The beer garden is for beer drinking only…no food service. We would definitely return to try more of the menu. Cheers 🍻

Very good overall. Beers are outstanding. Wine is mediocre (the Willamette Valley Pinot was quite good). Food is delicious. The salmon and the cod (fish tacos) were over cooked, in spite of being assured that it would be medium.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro, and I must say it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The entire staff was not only friendly and welcoming, but they went above and beyond to make our visit truly memorable. That's why I am delighted to give them a well-deserved 5-star rating. Firstly, the impressive menu at Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro caught my attention. The range of options was extensive, offering something for every palate. It was evident that they take pride in their culinary creations. The food was exceptional, and I particularly enjoyed their nachos, which were simply fantastic. The drink selection was equally impressive. Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro had a great variety of beverages to choose from, including their own delicious brews. Whether you're a beer lover or prefer other libations, their drink menu won't disappoint. Despite the restaurant being busy, the attentive staff ensured that we didn't have to wait long for anything. Their efficiency and professionalism in handling the crowd were commendable. It's rare to find a place that maintains high-quality service even during peak times, and I was thoroughly impressed. I highly recommend Boundary Bay Brewery & Bistro to anyone looking for a remarkable dining experience. The combination of amazing staff, delicious food, and a wide selection of drinks creates a truly enjoyable atmosphere. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Boundary Bay is one of our favorite places to visit, we've been coming here since shortly after they opened in 1995. Everything on the menu is good! Favorites are the fish (cod) tacos, pesto salmon sandwich, the salmon chowder, and the Reuben. Of course there's an ever-changing lineup of beers, with some perennial favorites (Scotch Ale!). They've now added cocktails as well. I recently brought relatives from out of town; they always ask to visit Boundary Bay when they roll into town. Love this place.

Delicious beer, average food, but really bad service. Our server was not around all the time, we had to wait for long time to order food, get food and even get check… they didn’t even give us water and tablewares until we asked for it :(

Waited 15 minutes to be seated, place was packed when we arrived. Food was okay, just a bit disappointed the the food we wanted to order is no longer on the menu. We ordered a bowl of smoked salmon chowder, chips and salsa, and a lot of drinks. If it’s not too much to ask, please make your nacho chips in house - it was pretty obvious that the chips came from a bag. Would love to come here again when they have something new to offer on their menu.

My sandwich, the rueben, was mediocre. A bit bland meat, with bland cheese, on okay bread. You can't really go wrong with roasted potatoes. The salmon chowder was amazing though. Lots of salmon, and other veggies. Would come back only for the chowder. The workers were nice.

A great spot to take your parents when they are visiting in town. A menu that offers many classic American restaurant fare options. Includes a nice list of cocktails and the beers of boundary of course. They have included a gluten free and non alcoholic beer from other local places. Wonderful outdoor space downstairs where you can lounge and relax while your children run around a bit.

We went on the weekend. The farmer’s market across the street was in full swing. Don’t count on getting a place to park nearby. Be prepared for a walk to get there. Call ahead and ask to reserve a table. We had to wait about 30 minutes. The restaurant is an older building but it did appear to be clean. Wait staff was nice and helpful with recommendations and answers to questions. Pear and Brie Grilled Cheese Sandwich and the Smoke Salmon Chowder were excellent. Companions got beers and enjoyed them. It would not be fair to give Picky Eater ratings on children’s food selections. We ordered a child’s cheese pizza and a child’s pepperoni pizza. The cheese pizza wasn’t touched. One slice of the pepperoni pizza was eaten.
