They are back! Got the wine and cheese happy hour deal. I’m always so impressed by their drink selection.

Super delicious drinks and food. It's not a big place, and their kitchen is small, so there may be a wait sometimes. Sip your strong and tasty cocktails and enjoy the chill atmosphere. Definitely try the specials as they are usually great. Good for dates too!

Everything was decent. The menu was clear and the quality of food matched the price point. Staff was friendly and our waitress was excellent. It wasn’t a “knock your socks off” place, but it was good. I am writing this review to point out Emily. She was the hostess. She busted her butt while we were there, as was everyone else, but she stood out to me because she was doing above and beyond work to help her co-workers on a busy night. Her attitude was fantastic. Moreover, she was paying attention and was checked in to her job duties. I appreciate her care for the clients and making sure we were seated in the time frame quoted. Awesome employee from a customer view. Keep up the good work!

Amazing food out of a postage stamp kitchen! There is a lack of space and equipment in the tiny kitchen, but the food is fabulous. We had the roasted cauliflower, hot stuffed dates, spiced lamb meatballs, and beet salad. It's hard to believe that the chef made these delicious items with not much more than a soup tureen and a toaster oven. The cocktails were tasty, too.

Literally my favorite bar I've ever been to. The rotating, seasonal, mostly locally sourced cocktail menu is amazing. I have never had a drink I didn't love. Their food menu is creative, rich, and uses a ton of locally sourced ingredients, and their happy hour specials are a fantastic value. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I make this place a priority every time I visit.

Top notch, fantastic service, amazing happy hour. Cheese plate and a bottle of champagne $20 and a delicious Brie hand pie $3. Also, unique and tasty cocktails. ~yum~

I love Bellingham, so perhaps everything I write about Bellingham glows. Yet, after avoiding Seattle bars because of the closeness of the outdoor seating, we found an oasis at the Temple Bar in Bellingham. Sidewalk seating was constructed with tables separated be plywood walls with individual heaters, but safely open on the sides. A canopy overhead protects patrons from the rain. It was as Covid safe as possible. My martini couldn't arrive soon enough, and it was delicious. After not having anything to drink for weeks, by my third martini I loved everybody and everything, including Bellingham. Becka was our fun and engaging server, and she only enhanced our experience. Becka served us a warm blue cheese dip with some great chips. Monday, restaurants and bars in Washington can allow 25% capacity inside their establishments. The Temple Bar will be even more fun and more comfortable. I can't wait for my next visit to Bellingham.

What a find!!! I love a great cocktail and that is what you'll find at Temple. You won't find a Rum & Coke, a Daiquiri or an Old Fashioned, but you will find complex, boozy, creative cocktails that you've never heard of with ingredients that you may not even be able to pronounce. The results are awesome! I can't wait to get back to check a few more off their menu. Did I mention the dessert? We had a Chocolate Truffle cake that was so incredible! They probably shouldn't even call it cake. It's more like a wedge of Godiva truffle filling. I shared the piece and probably only needed half of the slice between both of us. So rich, so dense, perfectly sweet. And only SIX bucks!!! A great experience!!!

The Temple Bar is our favorite restaurant for consistently excellent small plates and cocktails. The ambiance is excellent inside or at the outside tables. I highly recommend a relaxed dinner with your favorite companion!

Innovative drinks, gracious staff, delectable small bites. Perfect for date night or happy hour with your COVID pod. Outside patio is cozy and doesn’t feel too enclosed during these times. The bartenders never disappoint when coming up with something special!

Cozy, intimate even, with a relaxed pace. I am not usually in the mood for cocktails, but when that mood strikes, a spot like this is perfect! (They also have draft craft beers and a curated wine list.) We sipped on ‘I Would Dai for You’ & ‘Night on the Sun’. Focused flavors executed with balance and subtle flair...and so pretty. As for food, the menu is not huge but full of delicious yummies. We had goat cheese toast, savory puff pastry pies, and brie grilled cheese with ham. Everything tasted so fresh and clean, as I’ve come to expect from the best places in town. Will definitely return to sample more of the intriguing cocktails.

Really great happy hour, which runs all night on Sundays! $20 gets you a bottle of wine and nice lil cheese plate. I also really enjoyed their house beet hummus, which is served with focaccia. The galettes were disappointing, but everything else was really good. Service is friendly but not intrusive. The space is beautiful, tastefully decorated and has great natural lighting. A lovely spot for a date for sure! I’ll definitely be back to try the desserts. They sounded delicious.

Fabulous place. Came here in the evening and had Dan as our server. Could not ask for a better server. Seriously. He’s the best. We had the blue cheese dip w/chips (10/10) as a starter and it was so tasty. Then we had the BLT salad (9/10) and hot stuffed dates (9/10). I wish the non-date ingredients were increased a bit so we could taste them more but overall very flavorful. Excellent quality and decent prices. The drinks were fantastic as well. I had a Dark Matter (10/10) and my partner had a nonalcoholic negroni (9/10). Very dynamic, both a good blend of bitter and sweet without being too sweet. Highly recommend!

Wow, this is just truly how you dine in Bellingham. First you just start with wonderful seating options, whether indoor or outdoor you’re in a cozy spot. Then you have the service, each moment feeling like you’re the best most vip customer they have ever gotten, even while you see them delivering the same service to others. But you won’t be jealous because they will explain the menu, drinks and food, to your taste. Any question, they’ll answer and do it honestly. Then the food. Oh geez. The menu seems small but it is so not when it come out and is set in front of you. I feel like you always get approached with such a myriad of flavors, textures, and ideas they may sound odd but end up so amazing. Like this is a place where you add braised greens to your dish to be an adult and you end up fighting over your share plate for the greens because they are so unbelievably yummy. So obviously. Overall a great place for a drink or 3, a date, a small cheese bite, or full on dinner. Great ambiance. Great food. Great people. Great drinks. Just can’t miss here.

Fabulous experience. Peter in particular - his drinks are absolutely amazing. We got an espresso martini (off the menu) and it was the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be coming back.

The food is good. The atmosphere is loud and active. Lots of college age people, which is typical for Bellingham. We were brought a couple of different items than we ordered, but they were just salads, so we ate them anyway and didn't bother with trying to exchange. Restaurants are understaffed like everyone. I'll probably go there again.
