This place I’ve been coming here for many years. No matter what time it is, everybody working is always smiling, always in a good mood. The food is delicious, drinks are amazing. If you never been please try their Big Mamas. You’ll thank me later. I can’t forget our waitress. Virydiana, you’re amazing. Thank you so much for being such an amazing waitress. Leo, give her a raise.

Pretty good. It is a bit dark inside of the restaurant and prices sure have gone up, but that's understandable these days. We really enjoy Bellingham's biggest burrito, my husband always orders Chicken but I'd prefer ground beef 😆

5 Stars taking into consideration our agenda. A cold drink on a warm summers day, and chips & salsa. Mission accomplished!! We shall return!

Finally! I've been on the quest to find a place with good queso, good "Tex-Mex" style food & good salsa. We've tried Jalapenos downtown & Jalapenos on Meridian, both were subpar experiences overall; disappointing service & food. BUT in the one dining experience we had at the Barkley location it was great! Salsa (served chilled👍) was on point! Queso with ground beef was very greasy, but still tasted great! My husband got the Pollo Asado & it was delightful. I got the nachos & they definitely satisfied my Tex-Mex craving. My only concern which I've noticed is consistent across their locations is that they have an unexplained 3% kitchen service charge they add to your total.

I have been coming to jalapeños for over 20 years. Their Mexican food is average, but a very good value. They have a great happy hour and of course the infamous big mama is hands-down, the best happy hour margarita you can find in Bellingham. The food is always consistent, and they have a very good selection. One of the highlights of the year is there famous day before Thanksgiving, where you get a half price off the entire menu, including alcohol, when you pay cash. I have been going to that for at least the last five or six years. All three locations, actually there is a new fourth location, each have their own distinct atmosphere, and I seem to pick locations based on my mood, and who I am going out with. Definitely check it out if you’re in the mood for happy hour, or a good place to hang out with friends.

Staff was friendly and quick but have to say, coming from the southwest, the food was pretty lacking. The chips and salsa were good but everything else was too bland or unappetizing. My shrimp taco had those tiny shrimp and smelled too fishy — I couldn’t eat it. My husband got the relleno which had zero spice and, as he said, tasted like Italian food. The margaritas on happy hour definitely used a cheap mix. Very disappointing for the price. I wish I could say better things about the food because the restaurant was cute and staff were great.

Hits the spot when I want something filling and tasty. Mainly all Americanized Mexican dishes. On prior visits, I’ve had their margarita, decent. This visit, I ordered the Carne Asada and the Tortilla soup for lunch. They brought out chips and salsa right away, don’t get too full on that. The food came out quick, huge portions for lunch. The soup and carne could have had a bit more flavor, but not bad. Left super full, just wish the food wasn’t so bland. I always end up full on the chips, by the time the mains arrive, I’m halfway full. The service was friendly and prompt.

Food was bland with no seasoning, everything on the menu was over priced, the adult beverage was weak & cost too much...only reason I gave 2 stars is because the customer service was ok. But I think Taco Bell has more seasoning on their food than this place. I paid $30 for 2 drinks & $50 for 2 meals. Gave a $20 tip & a bad Google review

I am so shocked by how terrible our food was. I definitely will not eat here again. The staff was friendly but wow…such horrible flavorless food. I ordered chicken fajitas and it had no seasoning at ALL. There is no way the veggies and chicken were cooked on a skillet. It tasted/looked like it was all boiled, then thrown onto the skillet only for presentation. Please tell your cooks to use seasoning. Selling mediocre food like that at such an expensive price Is a disgrace.

Happy hour all day, Sun-Thurs, and their offerings are muy generous! I ordered a marg and nachos, both of which were almost too much to handle. Total bill was $20. Super great place and the bartender was very friendly also.

Shredded chicken tacos were okay. The chicken was not very well seasoned, and the beans were as smooth as baby food and watery, which was strange. The service was great and we met friends there, so all in all a fun evening.

Private group party in the back room, great service. We were a larger group and our one server handled us without getting overwhelmed or short with us. I would have liked to see her have some help, but overall it went pretty well. Would recommend as a party/reservation spot, especially during happy hour!

We always love it here. The food is consistently great and what can be said about the iconic Big Mama... still the best margarita in town.

They have amazing food and drinks for amazing prices for regular dining and for happy hour. The staff was so amazing and kind even with the restaurant so busy and with a large group and most tables full. Chips and salsa here is so yummy too 😋

I loved it. Exactly what I wanted. Perhaps I'm not a very sophisticated eater of Mexican food, but the tamale was delicious, not dry as it often is. The rice and beans were great, my favorite part, covered in cheese. I've been craving it ever since I was there.

Rice and beans were very good but wasn't a fan of my cheese enchilada's or the sauce they used. I like the salsa bar they have and not bad pricing for lunch specials. I'll go back for the rice and beans when I'm back in town.

I mean. It’s Jalapeños, the Barkley edition. The prices have risen along with many other places and things, but I was a little unprepared for how much here. Luckily we were there during happy hour, which still had amazing deals. Even their Big Mamas were half off, which was a blessing! Everything was as expected for taste, amount, and deliciousness. A great spot to eat before seeing a movie next door. Absolutely recommend the happy hour.
